What aircraft are you going to be flying in normandy and why ?
upupandaway replied to silenteye's topic in DCS: Normandy 1944
I´ll take a long walk on the beach... -
Do you live on the same planet? Perhaps you were phase shifted into another dimension... My win 10 calendar says that day is a tuesday... EDIT: sniped

Awesome, thanks for posting these. That´s the first time I´m seeing this, too. It leaves a lot of room for speculation regarding the development of the map after its initial release - in a very positive sense.

I think it might not be the best idea to bring it up at all, but what´s the loss for ED in enabling more people to play early access? They´re basically free alpha testers - the more the better. Bugs haven´t deterred people from playing (and enjoying) DCS in the past ;) I mean, the question of 2 or 3 free modules for any given backer level, that does certainly make a difference for ED in terms of monetarisation... It´s all there in the post you linked. I had just been asking myself that. Guess I´m getting anxious...

Being one of the initial KS-supporters, I would say that with respect to the path that this whole project took, I´d consider it a fair reward for the very real risk of never getting anything for your contribution. That is one thing the people never had to factor in who bought it later on from the ED store... I know that bittersweet taste, believe me. Anyway, I have my keys now and I´m happily looking forward to hear about the when and how...

Ach echt?! Ok, die Diskussion habe ich nicht mitbekommen.

Loved watching this interview. I´m a little unsure, because I think he made a one or two small errors in his narration, but is it true that the D-9 should start spinning in the direction opposite of the turn? He mentions it around 38:00. If I remember correctly, in DCS the Dora will always roll to the left in case of a stall. It´s been a while since I´ve tried it, but very early on I found this to be indeed a very useful last resort when flying defensively.

+1 I tried it once a few weeks ago and it was unplayable in VR because the head movement is inverted. I have had quite some time with intense VR titles and don´t easily feel nauseated anymore, but CA is either not finished yet or bugged... Basically it should be a lot of fun to ride on top of your vehicle and fire guns at stuff...

Thx for bringing this project to life after its rough start

Great, I love funny stuff like this in DCS. Keep it up! -
***DCS: AJS-37 Coming to DCS: World!***
upupandaway replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Just my 5 cents about the new module: It may be a little late, but congratulations to Leatherneck for their Viggen release.:thumbup::thumbup: I haven´t had a real chance to try out the module and I can´t even do a proper startup yet. What I´ve witnessed on the other hand is formation flight at ground level and coordinated ground attacks from my own trusty MiG-21 cockpit while playing in MP on the Gamestar squadron server (not my account). One other thing I wanted to mention about the first teasers Bröllopsfilm 1967 and Ghost and Thunder ist that in retrospect they represent to me the best teasers for any flight sim aircraft so far. They have a very polished audiovisual style and do focus rather on aesthetics than dry features (what any good teaser should do to some degree I guess). I really enjoyed that. You have some very talented people working there. Not that I´m against long feature lists... Anyway, cheers to you guys! -
Oh yeah, I have the Touch for two weeks now and was thinking just yesterday if they´d ever include this feature or something similar. Thanks for pointing this out! I´ll have to givt this a try.:thumbup::thumbup:

What a nice surprise! You´ve got my attention -
I had a similar problem a while ago. Judging from the limited information at least... I hope this helps. Combined Arms had to be un- and subsequently reinstalled to fix the crash during the load screen. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=172651 Another thread adressing the crash: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=172730

Very nice teaser. It´s marked in my calendar

Great update, nice read and an interesting insight into the process of creating the basis for a high fidelity flight model. I´m guessing a similar path is being followed when creating the data for fuselage segments that form the base of the "big" FMs.

Nevada Tonopah Air Force Base?
upupandaway replied to ThorBrasil's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
This is exactly what the map needs. The groundwork ist outstanding, but it will be even better once it´s more fleshed out: Airfields, also smaller ones... Very pleased to hear. -
Many thanks!

Seems like a logical step to improve the old map in that way and thereby enhance its inherent potential. I´m really happy to hear this and of course I´m very curious to find out more about the details. Big thumbs up

This is pretty much what Wags once stated in one of his YouTube videos. I don't know if anyone has brought it up, yet... Who knows what circumstances led BST to choose the particular version we have now... :)
