  1. Here is a smooth RL takeoff (military variant). I do not see any "huge" pitch correction to prevent any forward slide. yes, maybe that's it and hopefully it can be fixed.

  3. FM files from alpha and beta have the same date. I assume in open beta we have still the same flightmodel?

  8. As a future DCS Gazelle pilot I guess I will mostly use Nevada because of the collidable trees. Hopefully we will see also collidable trees in the caucasus map with the 2.5 update. In such a case this dlc seems to be a must have and the price is ok. Without collidable trees I will wait for a sale.

  10. Then we should have the option to force IFF on/off in MP. Especially since some DCS high fidelity modules are also using the current arcade IFF which is maybe for some people an inappropriate feature ;)
  11. as long as there are still a lot of possibilities for military modules (especially military helicopters! ;) ) I would not spend dev time for civilian modules. Just my opinion.

    1. That's why a working AWACS should be priority #1 and not an arcade IFF for DCS modules. 2. In this case and if visual ID is not possible I should stay out of that engagement. 3. Seems to be a bad choice of skins in this case (Isn't there a red flag skin for the F15?). Anyway in this case I have to use comms.

    Yes I do. 1. AWACs (AI or human) calls. 2. raygun/bullseye calls via voice comms 3. visual ID if they are in dogfight and I need to help. AFAIK only FC3 modules have the arcade IFF not the DCS modules. (Don't know about the Mig21 but if they implemented the fc3 IFF it is for sure a sad thing)

    You do not need an arcade IFF to handle 20 vs 20 engagements. There is still room for improvement. Even for home pc standards.

    With arcade IFF it is not possible to follow SOPs because arcade IFF is always on, stealth and works always 100%. I am not for an 100% realistic IFF but it has to be more complex than just a "labels on" mode. Nope, a working AWACS AI is a good start.

    Off course it is possible to ID your target without IFF. IFF is just a tool that could help you. Also IRL there are situations where pilots have to switch off their IFF. (And as far is I know these situations are similar to what we have on MP servers ;) )

    Never said there is 100% accuracy. But in case of IFF it is for sure more realistic to leave it out instead if implementing an arcade IFF. Off course it is impossible to implement an 100% realistic IFF but for sure it is possible to implement it in a realistic way. (but that's a huge task for ED first and no for Razbam) In real life IFF is not there to replace AWACS. It works and it is used different than FC3 IFF. And IMO it is not a good way to implement arcade IFF to replace broken AWACS in dcs. (Also because then there is no need for ED to fix DCS MP. ) It is just time now to get dcs mp enviroment ready for moddern dcs fighters.

    Disagree. If you want to play FC3 "game" style then you should use an FC3 module. You should not expect FC3 features in a DCS module.

    If DCS multiplayer only works with arcade IFF then DCS MP is heavily broken and in such a case it is not Razbams job to fix this.

    Yes. No IFF is better than an arcade IFF. Just remember this is sold as an high fidelity DCS module. Such an arcade feature would undermine these DCS standards.

  22. Wasn't a tantrum. It's an improvement that you can host the caucasus map without purchasing a dcs module. But now again a step backwards. Another solution for server hosts could be that you can host nevada for free as long as you are in spec mode or you can only see F10 map etc. Atm it seems there is no solution. So yes, it is disappointing. Sorry didn't fly so much DCS atm. And afaik the moving ground units causes warping is still an (known) issue?
  23. Since we need to buy Nevada map for hosting, can we expect the dedicated server app before the 2.0 final release? If that's not the case would it be possible to provide server hosts with Nevada keys? Or maybe reduce the price if you buy nevada a second time. Anyways it would be nice to find a solution for hosting 2.0 servers although MP has a low priority in DCS, I know.
  24. Can't wait. Seems to be a great module quality! :thumbup: Btw. will the "recce trigger" also work in MP missions?
  25. Autounhook seems to work now in 1.5 beta. But in MP sometimes other clients can not see a hooked cargo of an other client (in such a case it also does not appear after unhooking). Known issue or do you need track files?
