  1. I fly the F-16 currently, with hopes to switch over to the F-15 soon. Watching pilot interviews elsewhere and seeing that their sticks are super tight, where just a nudge here/there will control the jet, I'm wondering if it might be a good option to adjust my tension in my springs, or use another set? I'm currently using my base stock out of the box with the Constellation Alpha and have adjusted to it really well, although there is quite a bit of play in it. Any advice?
  2. I'm going to design a mission where the pilot has to ferry inoperable HARMs from base to base for points. Kind of like Ice Road Truckers, but with jets. And I'm going to carry AIM-9s on my wing tips. In all seriousness, simply putting an "(inop.)" next to it in the loadout screen can fix this.
  3. Entertainment? ENTERTAINMENT!?!? This isn't entertainment. *scoffs* It's A SIMULATION!
  4. If I'm ferrying bombs, it's going to be a porch-front delivery to a bad guys' house.
  5. Vipers of JTF-111 over Anderson AFB.
  6. And all those F-15E's.
  7. I tried inverting my numbers so it would look like the ICP, but it just wouldn't work. So much faster just doing it on the numpad, especially in VR.
  8. Check to make sure you are in GND mode and not AIR mode. As for accuracy, the same happens to me. On every run, if I carry 4 bombs, I will have at least 1/4 miss completely 95% of the time. 2/4 might miss the target, but still be close enough to destroy, and 1/4 will hit dead-on. This has been tested at level flight from between 10,000 - 25,000 ft, typically 15,000ft. Full alignment and coordinates punched in via steerpoints using map. I've also tested (not as much) using different pitch or bank angles and it seems the bombs hit half the time, while the other half are off.
  9. Great vid. Do you happen to have a mission file showing the waypoints?
  10. I like how you roll
  11. This brings me to an interesting question. Is there a way to dump fuel in the F-16? I've looked in the manuals and all over the aircraft for a switch of some sort, but can't find anything but the emergency stores jettison. Maybe I'm not using the correct search term.
  12. If you're going to eventually get the jet, why not now? Go ahead and get it and start learning the systems as they come online, then when it goes out of early access, you'll not be behind the curve.
  13. I love that I don't have to have a programming degree to learn many of the systems.
  14. I fly with the TWCS throttle and it tends to drift, so putting in a dead zone is a must. You can check this by looking at your regular radar and if the cursor tends to move, it's your throttle.
  15. This is the answer you seek, my friend. Works perfectly. Step 1: Bind your num pad to the keys. Bind your cursor arrows to the dobber. Bind your cursor arrows w/ modifier (I use right shift) to the button that goes up/down for selecting steerpoints. Step 2: Get this scratchpad app. Works perfectly in VR and is movable. GitHub - rkusa/dcs-scratchpad: Resizable and movable DCS World ingame Scratchpad for quick notes - especially useful in VR.
  16. Can you please describe the acronyms you are using? I'm familiar with DLZ (Dynamic Launch Zone), but am not familiar with LAR or MEZ. Been racking my brain all morning trying to figure it out. Also, are these JDAM attack cards something available we can use?
  17. Can someone answer this for me? Hopefully it hasn't been asked yet. What is the purpose of the Impact Azimuth setting? What scenario would I use that? Thanks.

    VR Titles

Try Star Wars Squadrons. Or Google Earth VR. (although you might need controllers for that)
  19. I just got the Constellation Alpha. Trying to map all my buttons. Anyone got a good grip profile for the F-16? I'll settle for a good axis tune info!
  20. I have a question on the detent magnets. He now has magnet detents from 10% - 90%. I'm not hugely familiar with afterburner detents so don't know what percentage I should be looking for if I'm flying the f-16.
  21. Ryzen 7 3700x 3.6GHz 32 GB RAM 2080 Super HP Reverb 1 Pro I get around 44fps in the F-16 and a little less when my head is down. It took lots of work getting the settings just right, but my 2080 Super does just fine with this setup and I'm sure yours will do better with the Rift S. VR is worth every penny.
  22. Is this something achieved in a HOTAS software and not a controls binding within the game I'm guessing? EDIT: Nevermind, found the binding for it in DCS. Wow this is life-changing! Sooooo much smoother to trim. Now just gotta figure out how to travel down the runway in a straight line lol.
  23. Thanks. It's appreciated. This is what I have. I have a RTX2080 Super on the top slot. Seems like the fans from the video card blowing down on it might eliminate the need for a heatsink. I dunno.
  24. About to buy my first M.2 drive. One option has a heatsink and the other does not have one. Just wondering how important one is on these things since I've never used one before. Is it worth the extra $20?
  25. Ahh duh I missed that somehow lol. Thought that was short for the Constellation on first read.
