My feeling exactly. Its not like I'm a rookie I have just about every MOD DCS has and been playing their stuff for years. And this take off hover thing has me stumped, George doesn't have any trouble and takes off like its an elevator.

I set them up like Wags with about an 8% curve although I have tried many, some with extremes curves, It does the same no matter what.

Oh yeah I've done everything, even a new install on a different SSD and it's still the same. Oh well its not like I'm grounded I just look like a crazy drunk trying to take off.

He actually flies better than most, you just need to keep an eye on him, he doesn't seem to see trees. But I'm thinking you don't have to use him at all if you don't want.

I have to have left rudder set to about 70% left to even have a chance to take off somewhat normal but It will not hover in one spot it has to be moving forward or it will go nuts and start spinning like a top. Maybe I'll work on the curves next. I have found a work around if I have to take off from a pad. I have Goerge take me and then I take over

Ditto here it gets so much spin I have to do 100% left rudder and that still doesn't stop it. If I ever get it going forward it can fly great but landing is the same . I can be comming down nice and smooth but once I'm low it (ETL?) it starts going all wobbly and I have to put it down hard, before it gets completely out of control, and then watch it tip over lol

Oddly I had set the game play option for EASY FLIGHT just to see if It worked, because I'm having issues like you. Well, When I tried to take off it went backwards and I took off tail first! lol when I point the tail up I was able to then start moving forward, but I was pointing straight down, it turned out to be my best take off, but very odd. lol

I was just checking him out and he flew pretty good into trees. But over all not to bad he certainly flies better than me.

Also if you are Overclocked remove it and then try. A lot of people forget they have OC'ed and then have weird issues.

I think the thousands of people that had no problems is a better indicator. But fill free to wait two years and still have bugs. Bye Bye

I feel the same about Cosmo's video's . They both know the subjects too well and often just breeze over the detail of "How" they got there and are often just missing.

No, Cosmo and Wags are not all we need. For one Cosmo talks like we are all seasoned AH-64 pilots, he goes too fast for me and doesn't explain how to actually do stuff, we are not pilots.

FYI you can also switch it back if you want later. I used both versions for a long time then I realized it was just wasting space and removed the stable version, I've never looked back and never really could tell the difference. Well the choice is your so good luck and have fun no matter which you pick.

It's EARLIY ACCESS BETA its supposed to have bugs and even stable versions have tons of bugs also the wait for a stable version can be long. Have fun!

Well, oddly mine went quick and I was up and trying to fly the ah64 in about 15 minutes. It was the fastest update I've ever had.

Check it for errors. This doesn't sound like a DCS issue as much as a drive issue, to me. You could also try installing it on a different drive , it is quite easy to move later if you fix the ssd drive issue.

No, you can have it, but you need to have OpenBeta version of DCS installed. Now you can either convert your Stable version, with a simple command line option, to the OpenBeta version or just install the OB version also if you have the space. Or wait for the Stable version, the choice is yours.
