  1. That's my idea, I will record a full uncut video with the following steps: - Checking that my install is clean (you can trust me I repaired it twice yesterday) and without mods. - Going to mission editor and placing two A10C 2, one in Ramat David, one in Damascus in a fresh mission. I won't touch anything else. It will be a fresh template mission. - Going through the cold start in Ramat David. Fiddle with the inventory page and try to load it manually. - Going through the cold start in Damascus. Check that everything loads fine. I have at least two more people in my virtual squadron having the same issues, so it is not only me. I hope I will have it ready today.
  2. Let's for one moment think I'm doing it bad as you say. Then why the DSMS loads fine in every other map, mission or base but those? Consistently. In fact I even tested with a hot start, loaded, empty, waiting for a fully aligned CDU before loading everything. It just doesn't load, not with the LOAD page or manually. Believe me, I fiddled with the issue more time than it took you to test it before posting it here. OB version is 2.5.6.57264 But don't worry. Tomorrow I will make an ingame video. You will see it is a clean installation with no mods, I will create a fresh Syria mission. I'll place an a10C on Ramat David, I will do a cold start step by step and you will see the result by yourself. Then with the video feel free to tell me I've messed up with the cold start.
  3. With all due respect, I've been flying the A10C since 2012 and I know the module. I tried to load the inventory MANUALLY, station by station, which should work even if you don't load the cartridge. And it didn't work. It works in every map but in Syria in some of the airbases. Damascus work, Beirut doesn't neither does in Ramat David. I repaired and removed all mods before posting the bug report. It keeps failing. And I'm not the only one in my virtual squadron. We all have the same issue every time. That kind of condescending speech makes me sick. Don't worry, the issue will surface sooner or later.
  4. That's what I thought but then I made a fresh mission, just placed one a10c on ramat ramp, and it also happened. It also happens if you preload weapons on the plane. At least 3 more people on my virtual squadron have the same issue so it is not just me.
  5. Yes I did. I even tried to load them manually via the inventory page on the dsms but to no avail. It happens only on some airbases. Ramat David or Beirut. In Damascus it works fine.
  6. Hello everyone. I found this bug that might be related to the Syria map or to the A10C and A10CII module. I don't really know which is the issue but the bug is as follows: - Map: Syria. I tested it in several airbases: Beirut, Ramat David. - Module: A10C and A10CII - Issue: Fresh mission. Cold start without any weapons, you ask reload, the crew reload whatever you asked and when you load the inventory into de DSMS the inventory is still empty and everything is lined red. Even if you try to load manually each station it won't allow you to do so. I tested it on every other map (except Normandy and the Channel) and it works fine in every place but Syria. I'm attaching the track for reference. I will post this bug in the Syria bug subforum as well. Thank you. Inventory failure Ramat David.trk
  7. Please delete, already being discussed at the A10C forums.
  8. You don't need a special HOTAS command to boresigth the TGP. Do you want your TGP to look forward? easy, just look forward and press DMS right long. The TGP will look where you are looking. There you have it boresighted. I understand that after so many years it is hard to change muscle memory but in a few days you will see it is just better in every way.
  9. So in real Hogs the heading tape is just useless because it is just behind the HUD camera all the time? Fun I guess...
  10. If anything the recent forum tantrum just rushed the patch. Do you really thing all of those fixes and new elements can be just done in 1 week? This was just a bad PR management by Razbam. Just saying "we are working on all of these fixes and we will deliver them in the next patches" had been enough.
  11. Oh yeah, I forgot about the Su 33. Yeah, you can also refuel it from an IL-76M and I really like the russian signals on the pods, more informative than the NATO ones.
  12. Dunno about the general numbers, but I can tell you in which airframes I'm proficient with the AAR: - F-18 - F-15 - F-16 - AV8B - A10C - M2000C I managed to refuel a tomcat in the free weekend and man that was hard. I don't own it. I play both singleplayer campaigns and multiplayer.
  13. That a module is out of early access doesn't mean it is complete. Look at the UH-1. It has been out of early access for years and still lacks multicrew, which is in the works. I think the Harrier as it is now is good enough to be out of early access. Sure there are bugs and some missing functionalities, but it is enjoyable, you can make your own missions, play user files campaigns and enjoy multiplayer either in AirQuake mod or more serious servers. I'm also looking forward to do the full preflight check and all of that, but to be honest for me it is not all that important.
  14. Just flew all three new missions. They are quite good! Realistic and fun and no ace combat kind "kill them all" like the good old instant action missions. It is good to see your mission editors got better. I'm eagerly waiting more missions!
  15. Hi! First and foremost great job with the map, I'm enjoying it so far. I've been touring some of the main landmarks included on the map and I found that the Lake Al Asad in the north is very shallow. It is an artificial lake after building the Tabqa dam in the Euphrates river and it should be quite deep, but in the game it looks like it is 5 inch deep, at low level you can see the bottom of the lake and no blue colour, like it is a very shallow shore in all the lake. I guess this is because of the new DCS water and lighting than before it didn't matter if water was deep or not, but now it does. Regards!
  16. I have one question. Will the map include templates for the Sam defences in the airbase? Since they got all the revetments and so...
  17. Great campaing! I must say that it is a good improvement over the original one. The missions are more realistic, voice lines are aplenty and difficulty was just perfect. The only minor annoyance I had was with wingmen crashing into mountains or refusing to attack objectives, which made me take a bit more ordenance than the one fragged in some missions just to do it myself instead of waiting for my wingmen to do the job. That's a DCS thing though. Other than that, and the Schaefer mission which I really really hate... I had fun flying the whole campaign. Well done man! I'm ready for Raven 1.
  18. To find the perfect balance between entertaining and realism is hard. In real missions the adrenaline rush and concentration while you manage everything and scan everything around you surely kept you focused. The special channel for BBC Home Service is a nice idea. I like that.
  19. Hello Mr. Grey. Since you had the pleasure to fly both the mustang and the jug, do you recommend the more "tame" jug for a non initiated instead of the wild mustang and her infamous high speed stall on turning? The P47 certainly feels more noble on all the flight envelope than the mustang. Is that true to the aircraft?
  20. Finished the campaign. It was nice but the last two Normandy missions were a bit boring without the usual channel cross chatter and radio. Dunno if I miss any triggers or just no radio comms or broadcasts. Well, I cannot imagine how could be an 8 hour Berlin trip in radio silence... Aside from the random FPS issues in big bomber escort missions the missions run flawlesly. The "Ardennes" map change was a surprise since I recognized the airfield in the briefing and I was like "That doesn't look like a Normandy airfield" Looking forward to play more mustang campaings if you ever decide to do one for the channel map (wink wing, nudge nudge)
  21. The mustang is the fastest warbird we have now. The only problem is that it is not the one with the best engine. In fact it has the WORST power to weight ratio of all warbirds (except the I16, but that's just a previous gen fighter) The thing about the Mustang is that it handles energy like a boss. You get it trimmed and you can fly for hours at minimum power, then switch to full power and keep all the energy you have and just out run or out manouver your enemies while they struggle with their own energy. This has a "BUT" (and a big one) if you find yourself without energy then you are dead. Mustang cannot accelerate as fast as any of the warbirds specially at low altitude (where you will find yourself without energy) So all in all, stay high, stay fast, don't bleed energy and you will be the best (or you will be able to just run away)
  22. Even if you are right (which I don't think you are) a plane only reach his top speed on factory tests in clean configuration and low fuel. And in some cases stripped of all the draggy stuff like pylons, antenna, ECM pods etc... Hell, in ground attack config the hornet is barely supersonic so who cares.
  23. His opinion is duly noted. Now if you excuse me, I have to go back to my Hornet cockpit. That NTTR training mission is not going to fly itself.
  24. It is a tracking issue guys, just look at the tacview on any of your test flights. Once you launch the missile it enters ballistic state. If you want to compare the situation, just go to stable, fire the maverick and turn off the laser while on flight, you will see they behave the same. I hope it gets fixed soon.
  25. Well, I'd like to tell everyone than FPS issues are mostly solved in the big escort missions (at least!) I was playing yesterday one of them with full unit count and it stayed playable the whole time at over 50 FPS, even chasing 190 across the bomber formation in the middle of all the fireworks. I got a nice machine but before it was just unplayable. The only problem that remains is the massive lag spike when the bombers drop the ordenance and the whole bomb train starts hitting the city of St. Lo. About 30 seconds of slideshare DCS and then back to kicking Jerry arses.
