  1. Hi! Is it possible to update DCS "silently" (also known as quiet-mode) ie using command line and without having to click "Proceed" and "Yes" and so on. If not already possible, could this feature be added? Would be really helpful for us devs.
  2. What do you mean not working? Can you elaborate?
  3. Other than “R” not displaying on the waypoint indicator, what’s not working for you?
  4. The waypoint needs to be a target-waypoint. Make it a target waypoint by switching to TAKT, input a 9 and press B1 (or whatever waypoint you are using). Then switch to TID and input time and press B1.
  5. The Bk90s was update a while back and doesn’t explode when player dies anymore + has cluster munitions in MP.
  6. I don’t unfortunately have a lot of info on this, maybe JediTeo has. I guess the photo-reconnaissance variant (SF37) might be the one who made the actual identification flights. Don’t know the specs for the camera so don’t know if they had to overfly the target. There is a lot of pictures of Viggens overflying ships so it might be so.
  7. The Maverick should follow a high top-attack trajectory, by IIRC it is given roll-information from the aircraft prior to launch.
  8. I think you have Easy avionics on. This is a feature of that.
  9. If you set the fix-switch to T1 when approaching the waypoint it won’t switch over to the next waypoint.
  10. You are supposed to pull the stick aft when thouched down to put weight on the main wheels. What I do is touch down with a little wheel brake applied so the nose will go down immediately and meanwhile pull the stick a little while throttling up whit reverser on. The plane is far more controllable if you pull the stick imo. Remember the reverser ejects more air downwards than upwards which tips the plane forwards a little, and using wheels brakes (which is mainly applied to main wheels) adds to this effect.
  11. Yes since the Bk90 was updated a while ago this feature is no longer available.
  12. Issue with Collimator sight for Maverick It has been there since release? Edit: here it is in a video from during development in 2015
  13. Issue with Collimator sight for Maverick The flashing is the ground collision warning. I assume you weren’t flying very close to the ground? Edit: also note that if you fire a missile the radar will detect it and interpret it as ground so you’ll get a warning right after you fire a maverick.
  14. ARAK long only uses barometric altitude. Level- and precision bombing modes uses radar measurement so QFE is less important.
  15. Using the radar altimeter for weapons solution would assume the terrain is completely flat. For example: if attacking in a 10 deg dive and you overfly a 50m hill your weapons will hit 10m off. Being honest, I am not entirely sure having to set the QFE in DCS:Viggen was a good design-choice instead of doing the usual way of faking it. If you set Easy Avionics on you don’t need to set QFE. Also, ARAK long range is Viggens version of CCIP-sight ie it shows where the rocket will hit if you fire right now. Can’t be used together with radar ranging (rather, you can try to see what happens) so needs correct QFE.
  16. It’s not in the game yet because I made a mistake and didn’t upload to ED prior to the release of the patch.
  17. Try deleting the file in %SAVEDGAMES%\DCS_AJS37 and see if a new one is created. IIRC you, besides being in BER and on the ground, also need to change the cartridge selection for it to generate a new one (ie press LCTRL-LALT-C and the back with LCTRL-LSHIFT-C).
  18. I’ve checked the log in EDs server and it seems I made a mistake/oversight and didn’t actually upload the new binaries. The manual and 3D-model was uploaded though. Sorry about that. Will be in next patch together with whatever I manage to put in by then.
  19. FR22 assignment of buttons to mission editor entries A to D is local air coordination channels (ie tower, approach, area etc) selected by the right rotary. The number is the same as the airfield reference number, so if the airfield has reference number 9013 then set 13 with the rotary to be able to contact the ATC. Since DCS only has one person to talk to (“ATC”) all these channels gets you to the same entity. Selecting ALLM on the rotary (”allmän” = general) switches the layer so E, F and G is selectable. IRL they where some type of ground control IIRC (I guess national?). H is the emergency channel, similar to NATO GUARD I believe. Special 1-3 is some type of extra channels, don’t know what they where used for IRL but it might have been communicating with ground forces or something. Minus is the manual selector on the front panel. The left rotary and buttons below are for contacting different flights, you can look up the number in the kneeboard.
  20. This has been bothering me too but I don’t know if any solution besides Goblin exists right now.
  21. Can’t delete hastily written posts on mobile
  22. Rudder trim isn't working Nvm
  23. Delete the files in %SAVEDGAMES%\DCS_AJS37
  24. Apparently there’s some breaking issue with AI on airfields. Jediteo might give details.
  25. how to Start the Viggen in a aircraftcarrier? I am testing a solution that might be in the next patch yes. The solution is simple so you can test it yourself: in the place described above add this takeoff_and_landing_type = "VTOL", Please let me know if it has any side effects if you try it out. Oh and happy new year folks!
