I think you need to select Bx8 before making the fix. So - AKTPOS - BX then numpad 8 - Radar to A1 - T1 fix - Slew the cross over the target using radar stick - TV fix to make the fix - Set master mode ANF - Trigger unsafe and when in firing parameters fire

The player aircraft can have more custom finesse. I think doors have been opened some more on this but its the F-14 guys that can answer that.

** AJS-37 Changelog / Update Master List **

Todays update includes: - Fix to popup-point switching logic. - Rb15 group target fix. - U22 and U22/A is no longer turned on when starting cold. - Fix to U22/A listening even though it was turned off. - Suspension for main landing gear softened to allow earlier rotation. - Both brakes on same axis fixed. - Fix to target ring not displaying with sidewinders. - Reverted smoke-in-AB-fix because it turned off sound, not sure how to fix this. -
What exactly is the horizontal flight director needle showing

No that’s pretty much all there is to it :) The reference altitude is always set to 500m on take-off. Altitude info isn’t stored in the data cartridge but is available in the kneeboard. The indication also changes during landing-mode as well. -
I think it’s a bit unclear, but after marking the target with unsafe, just keep pointing the sight on the target and you will reach the safety height when overflying it.
-
I don’t think that would be possible no

Pop-up points not working Are you following the commands on the HUD? The caret on the radar screen-compass will point towards the target. Btw, direction 175 seems to be the correct heading in your picture.
-
It has different meanings for different weapons and modes, for example with high-drags and PLAN its between 130 to 160m depending on speed, and for rockets its 200, 440 and 440 (low, medium and high respectively) and for guns its 120, 200 and 200.
-
It uses doppler though, also there are ways to get a good estimate. The nav drift is modeled very in depth I may say so (actually, "drift" isnt modeled but true position estimation through a pitot measuring dynamic and static pressure coupled with a gyroscope). You can play around with drift in the game and have a lot more than this 10 minute flight.

There is a "lenient" switching logic from pop up point to target point where it only needed to be closer to the target than the popup point. I probably at one point figured it would be better to have it this way since you'd dont want to be chasing the popup point when in high speed ingress to the target. I guess this confuses people who want to have the pop up point on the other side of the target, so I changed it now to be like any ordinary waypoint switching (<3km and +/- 90 degrees). I am not sure this is the problem you are having rainyday, maybe you could provide a track?
-
Not that I know of. The Bk90 where sort of a afterthought on the Viggen. It seems to have been updating through radar or just no update that was the two ways it was intended to be delivered. You can however use the HUD indication to correct visually by using radar (A1) and make fixes only in bearing (left right with radar stick) til the symbology is over the target.
-
From what direction do you approach the target?
-
Level bombing in the Viggen No the standard is 400m. You set it in the mission editor. Low = 200m, medium = 400m and high = 600m for low drag bombs. Other heights for other weapons. Default in ME is medium height. No idea if this was standard IRL
-
Fixed! It was a problem with Rb15 "Group Target" mode where it wouldnt hold on to the target. Easily fixable through your track.
-
Does the manual state this? Because its incorrect. The sight can drop below the HUD if you are using a higher safety height or in a climb. Contrary if you are flying too high the presentation might be above the HUD. What safety height are you using? I just tested it and seems to work for me . Following the HUD sight had me intersect the safety height over the target.

Fixed!

Ok fixed so U22 is turned off when cold-starting.

The U22/A is not in mode 0 (off) when spawning because it takes 3 minutes to warm up, so it is set to this and prewarmed on hot start. The U22/A listening even though it was turned off is fixed now.

I am not sure I follow what is being asked here, but if it is that the HUD doesnt display a drift I tried just now and at least for me it does: This was after a long high-altitude flight over the ocean (with doppler in "LAND"-mode). The waypoint true position is in the middle of the cross and the estimated position error in AKTPOS was a little overestimated but nevertheless there. Almost regardless of what it says on the last digit of AKTPOS the true drift could be anywhere from 0 to infinity.
-
The waypoint doesnt have to be M-point, it can be any type of waypoint. The ring disappears in many modes when you set trigger unsafe. It is also never displayed at the same time as the flight path vector or the steering order indication (because its the same symbol but used differently). Without knowing what types of mode and weapons you are talking about its not easy to help.
-
What safety height did you set?
-
I like this idea too. My original plan was to have it displayed in the kneeboard but it has been difficult to implement, and CombatFlite is a lot better in usability. I’ll have to think about when the cartridge would be exported, one idea I have is it happens when the user pulls out the cartridge? Like you make a plan in CK37 and pull the cartridge and then the file is written to Saved Games folder and for either sharing with others or inspection in CombatFlite (if that feature is implemented)? How about ELINT export also happens then, instead of when setting BER?

Thanks guys it means more than you think! A little longer answer here
