  1. For that much money you can buy a Leo Bodnar board a bunch of switches and a box and home brew it to suit.
  2. You need to look for an A model NATOPS Manual. The performance section would have the info you seek.
  3. Brother this is nice...
  4. This can easily be accomplished with triggers. I’ll send ya a mix with examples when I get home here in a bit.
  5. But why male models?
  6. https://alert5podcast.podbean.com/e/scramble-04-matt-wags-wagner/ 11:44 - Eastern Bloc Aircraft in DCS?
  7. The whole setup up is $799.95...that being said...they seem to be standing by their all or nothing business model... .I'll give em a look once they start selling the throttle separately.
  8. I have one on order and I'll let ya know...
  9. I see what you did there...:music_whistling:
  10. Next to the cup holders...
  11. "R-Square Control Stick Actuator...Ops Checks Good" ;)
  12. Five senses are used in Real World Flying...Sight, Hearing, Touch and to a lesser extent Smell and Taste. (Do I smell hydraulic Fluid...Do I have enough Coffee) It seems to me VR advocates want to the Game optimized for One sense at the expense of others. Graphics are awesome...But holding a Wii controller in my hand or NOTHING in my hand and calling it an F-18C Stick because that's what I see on screen runs counter intuitive to what you seem to be demanding. You are ignoring a very critical sense. The sense of Touch.
  13. How about the simple answer...ballistics.
  14. Could also indicate a HAWK missile radar component. (The Search Radar, tracking radar and CWAR all displays "H")

  16. " Externally, the F-16C is almost identical to the F-16A. The only significant external difference is the introduction on the F-16C of an enlarged triangular base or "island" on the rear fuselage leading up to the vertical fin, with a small blade antenna protruding upward from it. This extra space was originally intended to house the Westinghouse/ITT AN/ALQ-165 ASPJ (Airborne Self-Protection Jammer) that is used on Navy aircraft. The USAFs ASPJ program became mired in controversy in 1989-90, followed by the USAF's withdrawal from the project in January 1990. As a result, the ASPJ was never fitted in USAF F-16s. 17. " Radome Color Gray…..plain ol’ gray. Seriously. If you live in the UK, it’s Grey. The radomes on F-16s are coated, not painted, and this coating picks up dirt and grime and darkens with age and use and a myriad of other factors. They range in shade from fuselage color to almost black. No 2 F-16s have the same color radome, and you’ll find pics of them with either different domes at various times or one that’s aged a bit. 18. Which is appropriate for 2007?
  19. I think they were covered with leather. Over time it weathers to a blacker appearance.
  20. If the tanker fell into the Doppler notch...no it should break lock.
  21. As a person who has operated in a military aircraft using real NVGs I can safely say what people do in DCS has little to no real bearing on what happens in the real world. It is important to remember...most if not all cautions and warnings associated with the operation of an aircraft are the direct result of breaking something...or killing someone...
  22. Check out " F-16.net " It has been around a LOOOOONG time had has a great deal of information regarding specific modification programs and specific Block / Series capabilities. As a side note...Seriously?...Somebody needs to have the guy responsible for the alphabet soup that is the F-16 naming convention drug tested...Just look at F-16.net at the number of Versions and Blocks they have come up with over the years...
  23. SOME F-16 units had LANTIRN capability...not even close to all of them. The majority of available pods were being allocated to the Mudhens. As far as "the aircraft not being able to be used to its fullest capabilities without one"...during Operation Babylon the IAF destroyed Iraq's nuclear reactor without targeting pods. "In less than two minutes, Israeli F-16s dropped more than fourteen metric tons of ordnance around the center of the sixty-foot reactor. According to Perlmutter, “In all, sixteen Mk84 iron bombs were dropped on the reactor. The accuracy of the bombing, considering the IAF used no smart bombs, was astonishing. All but two were direct hits within thirty feet from the center of the target.”
  24. I >think< this may be in the works...if I'm not mistaken, all it would take is modifying the Lua file for the cargo so it is seen as an "Airplane"...
  25. For me...If I am paying that much money...I want a COPY of the real plane...The Real plane uses Finger lifts for Off-Idle / Idle-Off and Push through for burner. I don't see it as an issue though because they seem determined to make anyone who wants to use their F-18 Throttles and Control panel use heir flight stick. I'm not interested in their Stick. I have one I'm quite happy. Should they market the Throttles and Side panel separately i'm in but not before.
