  1. Without seeing a track hat I think you are mission is TMS Forward long. You can cycle through mark points but each time you have to select that point as SPI. (Did that answer the question?)
  2. https://www.peerlesselectronics.com/p1-11121-switch MilSpec Switch. $$ yes but Works Great
  3. But that's exactly why the WOW circuit exists. To prevent firing weapons with the gear down...raising the gear inflight if there is a malfunction (think gear struts not fully extended, nose gear not centered things like that) or raising the gear while sitting on the deck. The ability to dump fuel is a safety of flight issue. Let's say i takeoff and smash a flock of Geese. One smashes into my nose gear and takes our my WOW circuit and another goes in my Port engine...I'm probable gonna need to dump gas and probably jettison weapons to maintain aircraft control. At the very least I am gonna need to dump gas down to a landing weight. If the fuel dump switch was tied to WOW.... baaaaad JuJu Now I can Jett weapons but I'll still have a lot of gas I can't get rid of. And if there is one thing you don't want at the scene of a crash...it's an excess amount of fuel. I'm pretty sure the WOW circuit is off of the Battery direct bus. If the bus is powered it'll work. But I need to check a NATOPS to be sure.
  4. During my 22 years as a boom operator I lost a boom nozzle one single time to an F-4 out of George AFB. During the same 22 years I had NUMEROUS Navy receivers beat up the nose of their aircraft, gork up their probes or tear up my Drogue basket trying to get a contact. I guess that means Air Force Pilots are good enough to play golf AND refuel without breaking their equipment. :music_whistling:
  5. One thing I have to wonder...is Drogue drag simulated? In real life the Drogue generates a significant amount of drag. On MPRS KC-135s and WARP KC-10s the drag of the Drogue on the hose is what deploys it. (This is the Simplified version...I know there are lots of other moving parts and springs) Anyway as soon as you make "contact" the drogue...along with all of the drag it's generating is NOW firmly attached to YOUR aircraft. Some of that drag should be transferred to the receiver aircraft...how much is up to the propeller heads to decide.
  6. What in the...How have I never heard or seen this before?! It makes perfect sense...it ALSO reminds me of why I have always considered Helicopter evil critters! Thanks for posting this...
  7. Sometimes...yes...most of the time...no. Just dropped 4 from max range using TGP. One of each radar and the command vehicle...site shot at ME not the JSOWs. AMMV... That being said it's all about tactics. To simply believe the S-300 is invincible is silly.
  8. You might consider posing this question to the guys over at the Fighter Pilot Podcast. They are all retired Naval aviators and can probably give a good insight into ops cycles. https://www.fighterpilotpodcast.com/contact/
  9. A couple of JSOWs from 35k ft and 60 miles away deal with SA-10s quite effectively. Fighter cap or. It. It has been stated many times the SA-5 is coming after other priorities.
  10. It’s not a byproduct of the force being applied. It is designed to move a specific amount.
  11. Looking at this further I’m gonna have to do a little more engineering on it to make it work. I’m planning to use this panel from pcflights.com http://pcflights.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=47_70_72&products_id=457 I’m gonna have to create a knob assembly that will pass through the panel.
  12. Has anyone been able to source the switch or a suitable replacement here in the US? $38.00 shipping is a little steep.
  13. Actually a very clear explanation of why we could not have a full DCS Russian 4 gen fighter has been provided. https://alert5podcast.podbean.com/e/scramble-04-matt-wags-wagner/ 11:44 - Eastern Bloc Aircraft in DCS? :music_whistling:
  14. I had one of those to! Ya know if ya could get those stickers... ;)
  15. WAIT A MINUTE! Are you telling me the entire purpose of its cord is JUST POWER for the LEDs?
  16. "NOPE NOPE NOPE" made me laugh...Nice work brother! I flew in the Air Force with a Flight Engineer who did something similar on the back of the flight orders each flight. He'd draw a goofy comic with each person who was on the crew making some goofy comment.
  17. Brother this is a work of art! Thank you for sharing this.
  18. Thanks for the point out!
  19. Does anyone have a source for the Selective Jettison selector for the F-18? I have tried every combination of words you can think of for a switch with a collar around a push button and keep coming up blank. If someone has the part number or source I'd be grateful.
  20. Check out: https://www.mudspike.com/wp-content/uploads/guides/DCS%20FA-18C%20Hornet%20Guide.pdf Check Pg 7 for controls setup Pg 251 for Auto Pilot explanation and use.
  21. Hey, can ya add a link to the previous Warthog and Cougar mod threads. Been looking for them with no luck.
  22. Here’s another take on this project. If ya make a quick modification...the Pickle Switch will sit flush what’s it should. Instead of electrical tape I used a piece of shrink tubing wrap around the switch. I didn’t go all the way to the top. To get the switch to sit flush...I trimmed out plastic part behind the switch. AMMV:smilewink:

  24. Try these two links https://www.usaf-sig.org/index.php/reference/41-research-material/82-f-16-viper-faq-stuff-you-wanted-to-know-about-the-f-16cd?fbclid=IwAR2KmDkm3o6DWc1kdh9RBXqfzhnOhrfY5Vz4p9lnoBsZLVLGCxxb8iHybMc https://www.cybermodeler.com/aircraft/f-16/viperversions.shtml
  25. Hey...when you had it apart did ya happen to investigate and if it’s possible to swap the position of the Hat and Trim switches. If you can...you have an instant AV-8B stick.
