  1. Amazing. Very cool
  2. Ok makes sense, that’s good to know I think I shall do the same as you thanks for the advice.
  3. Ok sorry, I know I seem a big thick here, just want to make sure I get it right because I’m reading SimShaker for Aviators by f4l0 Is compatible with DCS. So you selected Sim Shaker wings in the box for additional licence to add?
  4. Ok I shall be interested to see what you think of it when you get it. From what I’ve been reading they look like they more or less both do the same thing. Which product did you actually order from him, I just want to make sure I order a pad compatible with DCS?
  5. Ok so although he doesn’t answer his email he will dispatch the product then. Thanks that’s more encouraging
  6. I’m really interested in purchasing something like this to increase immersion, I’ve emailed Realteus and Andres shop regarding his jet seat. But have had no reply. I don’t want to hand over money until I have some confidence they are trading etc. Have people ordered products and they have been delivered, are things getting better with these products now or would you advise I stay well away?
  7. Yes, This is a good point you raise here.
  8. Performance wise this OB has not been the best but it’s been more the channel map. I’ve noticed very poor performance on it in VR. I cannot say for certain if there has been a performance drop regarding the other maps. I do know that in the case of HBs Viggen there is a big performance drop if you select the ground radar and have it set to a range of 30nm I think. Other ranges are fine but this range causes a big FPS hit. It’s a known issue that I think HB have said they are working on. The tomcat I can’t say I’ve noticed any difference in performance i find it is one of the more taxing modules on frames though.
  9. I am having some problems with my CV1 not quite the same as yours but has happened since the latest OB update. If I run Oculus tray tool before starting open beta it doesn’t load. Sometimes it will after an eternity but the dcs window does not show on my monitor and Although I can see the dcs menu through VR I can’t select anything with the mouse. It’s a fresh install of Open beta with no mods.
  10. No offence meant but everyone has there own agenda and priority’s and for me like many other dcs simmers particularly those that have made the transition to VR this is a big deal. I’ve loved DCS for many years right from the beginning with the A10c, I learnt all the systems and weapons on the A10 as I have with many dcs aircraft hornet mig 21 etc. It didn’t bother me not having the VR pilot using a 2D monitor but since VR It really is something I notice more and more when I fly. I assume you fly in VR and I get that it doesn’t bother you and that’s great but please respect other people’s priorities, I don’t want to get into an argument that’s not my intention but to suggest that we go and try war thunder because we would like this function incorporated after two years will be taken the wrong way. For me there are enough full fidelity modules that have enough features implemented and have VR pilot added to keep me busy Hornet, Viggen, M2000c. But as a Brit I love the harrier and really look forward to this feature being added as I think some of the work Razbam has done on the harrier despite some harsh criticism has been really good.
  11. I've spent all day playing with settings in the OB today to get better performance in VR. Conclusions I've come to if your using Oculus Tray Tool (latest version) Default ASW mode for me is best set to adaptive. Its Between this and OFF but I find with adaptive it is just slightly less juddery. Process Lasso does nothing for me and DCS in fact it often stopped DCS loading. In actual fact I back to back tested Multithreading on and my DCS definitely benefits from it being on. I've managed to push my CPU past the 4.20 mark but the gain has been minimal. My GPU is pretty much maxed out between 90-100 use in game. The only slight improvement I noticed was using alt+return to maximize the game window, not really FPS improvement but certainly helped with stutters. Ultimately between testing this and the stable version I have a huge performance advantage in the stable version, and my stable version is on the slower disk drive. Not a dig at ED I know they introduced a lot to DCS World recently, Just really hoping they can find some snags and optimize performance, I know I've got to go to a RTX 2080 at some point but don't want to pay out just yet.
  12. Yes I agree with you I have plenty of other modules to learn systems and weapons delivery etc I just want pilot body added it makes such a difference. Just landing the harrier vertically is such a cool thing to do in DCS. It all comes down to personal preference I suppose. I know they posted an image of the harrier pilot just after the mirage pilot was released. I thought therefore it wouldn’t be long but it’s gone a bit quiet since then. I keep hoping it will come with the next OB update.
  13. Your a wonderful person  Thanks so much for getting it back and running, being able to change the colour saturation now in game is a brilliant addition, such an essential VR mod for Oculus.
  14. I've treaded this like a wishlist and voted for the Tornado and the Jaguar, but if the poll is purely on what I think is doable for developers my answer would probably be different.
  15. You’ve not been in the forum community long enough to come to such a conclusion don’t you think? Consider that many of us are happy to suffer the bugs if it means we get to try the new features sooner. We also report things that don’t work because we would like them fixed ASAP but we don’t go about it in the way you are. That’s why ED chose to have an open beta and a stable version. Bignewy has been communicating to us on EDs behalf for a while now. I don’t know exactly what you expect from him but he can only report on information told to him by the developers and I’ve never had a problem with what he does same as many others on here I’m sure.
  16. two more weeks, come on he has a sense of humor.
  17. In six years since dcs took over from the RRG debacle we’ve seen 6 detailed aircraft released if you include the P-51/25 with the new cockpit textures, two WW2 maps and a WW2 assets pack, granted I would have liked more a.i aircraft assets added to this by now but DCS WW2 is gathering pace. I think a hell of a lot could be achieved with it within the next 6 years. The team has expanded over the years.
  18. I wouldn't agree with this either, there is one other really good Battle of Britain sim I can think of out there that turned into a really good sim eventually. But has no VR support and I wouldn't hold my breath on it getting VR support in the future. A DCS BOB would be the future for this historic event to be simulated to its potential.
  19. I've set my options to the VR default and made a few tweeks, my ground textures I've set to high Water I've set to high, Anisotropic filtering x4. The rest as I say is default VR setting. My pixel density is 1.5 but I use Oculus tray tool to override any game settings to do that. I have just done a simple ground attack mission in the P-47 with an A.I wingman 4 german ground vehicles and a Ju-88 and an FW-190A5 to shoot down. I flew over Dunkirk region then over the channel then over Dover then down to Hawkinge and landed. Unlike the other day I am able to maintain 45fps. I shall continue to play with the settings but I have a strong suspicion that MSAA has a huge effect on the channel map, obviously this is set to off with the default VR setting. Its a shame as I've always been able to use MSAA at x2 and maintain 45fps with all other maps including Normandy. To be fair to the guys that developed Normandy I was disappointed with it for a long while and performance was poor but with the last big update they did I think its improved massively they did a great job, but still hope one day colour saturation is improved for VR. Regards the channel map you can see the potential there but yes with MSAA disabled you get the downside, I can see a bit of flickering that the MSAA seems to deal with, I also doubt that you can add lots of ground and air objects without paying a huge price with FPS. But I would say to VR users give it another go with these settings and see if you notice a difference and hopefully ED can optimize things going forward.
  20. its difficult with VR, what I see using my oculus CV1 is very different to what is on my monitor. I can adjust saturation on my monitor, you cant adjust colours on the Oculus. This mod is the only way I know of that adjusts the saturation. When I say ridiculous If I said illuminous green for grass I wouldn't be too far off.
  21. Yeah I cant fly in VR with this map unfortunately, low FPS and heavy stuttering. Normandy running really smooth as is all other maps.
  22. I use your wonderful mod to adjust the offensive colours of the WW2 maps in DCS, its the only workaround i've managed to find to do this and its worked beautifully until todays patch and again the colours look ridiculous. If you could get this mod working again for the latest Beta patch I would really appreciate it along with many others Im sure....
  23. Ok that’s great to hear I’m confident it will be better than the current ones. Personally I find the head movement a bit robotic as well, I think this may be better static a bit like the Belsimtek choppers but that’s me. Looking forward to the updates on the gazelle good to hear it’s having a overhaul.
  24. You won’t find another sim with animated deck crew like this so for that reason I shall have to wait. I’ve invested to much into DCS Over the years including my hardware so I guess I have no choice. To be fair to them despite being disappointed they have met their targets from what I can remember for release times for their last few modules.
