Thx for the clarification. Another problem by the inconsistent tests of the OP. During #7 1:55 he never pushed the stick back to increase load. And thanks dimitriov for looking into it

Have checked my track in Tacview and was not able to exceed 1,3 G during a level roll to the right with only the use of the cyclic so please tell me how you get over 3G. Anyways, due to this literature: Cyclic & Collective More Art & Science of Flying Helicopters by Shawn Coyle most helicopters are limited to 3G, in special cases 3,5 so why should I fly in an envelope that is not possible at all? Tacview-20180318-154631-DCS-Gazelle.trk.zip.zip

If it only occurs during let's say every second maneuver I would not blame the FM. I attached a track doing this stuff twice with perfect instant reaction by the helicopter. Maybe OP you check your DCS version and afterwards your control setup? Gazelle.trk

Im a bit puzzled. I don't have the time to watch all the videos but run the last. So what I have seen is: 1:55 full right Input, aircraft starting to bank 1:56 release right Input and beginning left input 1:57 helicopter reacts 1:58 helicopter is flying straight You did a right 90° turn and banked straight again in 3 seconds. Pretty good for a helicopter don't you think so? This is no X-Wing. Maybe I understand something wrong since I'm no native speaker but what had this to do with the collective after all?

The new critical angle of attack might be too low!
FSKRipper replied to Maverick Su-35S's topic in Flight Dynamics
Thx Dolphin. A small story for you guys, some years ago I was engaged in a discussion regarding the MiG's speed limit. I was sure as hell that I'm correct because Tacview said so. Vyrtuoz confirmed to me that his software had an error reading the flight instruments that time. On that day I learned to question at first the tools with which we work when accusing developers doing fundamental errors in FM programming. A further lesson I learned from Tharos and Esac was to always compare modules to it's RL charts and manuals and not other modules since this seem to be a new kind of sport recently. Feel free to laugh over my naivety, ignore everything I said or take a message home but I would hope that at least some of you guys change your attitude a bit. Otherwise I would have only one wish. Keep this stuff out of the other 3rd party dev forums which I use frequently, it really ruins my day and is far from constructive. Maybe this gives you a hint why devs aren't talking to the community. And regarding dev time.... Maybe some of you are simply not long enough here to know how long it took ED for finishing Nevada -
The new critical angle of attack might be too low!
FSKRipper replied to Maverick Su-35S's topic in Flight Dynamics
A: Im pretty sure they read it. ED also doesn't comment their FM when WiP B: Cant judge on it If you followed his M2000, F-15 and SU-27 thesis you would know that it would be 300 pages of wasted time... Funny how easy some of you guys are impressed by some formulas, basic physics and some tacviews of errors in some margin flight envelopes... -
Why is 2.5 Georgia theater so damn slow?
FSKRipper replied to DaveRindner's topic in Game Performance Bugs
We can talk about tree Implementation the whole day but the fact is that OP graphics card is simply outdated. No bug, no problem of 2.5 -
Introducing the VKB-Sim ‘Modern Combat Grip’ (MCG)
FSKRipper replied to rrohde's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
Ah you mean with the site stating on Feb 14th that you can pro order via the new Website going live the same week. Wait that was 3 weeks ago  If this wouldn't be so funny I would cry the whole day. -
Slow G buildup was confirmed weeks ago. Will be addressed in future updates.
-
Amen! From promising flight sim enthusiast to tinfoil hat wearer in one month, what a career... I enjoyed the early Tests but now it's nothing more than pointless "who has the biggest... Russia vs US" Like all these stupid clickbait YouTube Videos.
-
My bad :music_whistling: Thought you were frightened of missing an Update.
-
You guys are not behind. The updates are sent to ED for testing and approval and after that they get integrated in a following update. Expect a one or two week delay between updates from the developers and updates from ED.

Yes I would also really like to know which manufacturer and which model of NVG you are referring to. As it was explained to you the video is edited, you don't see any smooth transitions from inside to outside and back, only cuts. It doesn't work without refocus. Look at video 1 0:40. This is how blurry the internal parts look when the NVG is focused for outside view. And yes this are state of the art devices at least for civilian usage (the same as in video 2).

I don't know when you played the last time but apart from INS Bombing as myHelljumper said CCRP is working as intended. Mark the spot, fly towards it, press and hold pickle and the toys are released when it's time. Tested 5 minutes ago :music_whistling:
-
Ok, I'm at home now and got what you were outlining. Did a small test and can confirm your report.
-
Since I'm not at home I can't take a look in your track or the pocket guide but why should you need a second pickle press when dropping in CCIP?
-
Let's hope they keep it so. By the way some people articulate their ignorant half-knowledge I won't be suprised if Razbam tries to do the FM changes on their own in the future.

Trees filling GPU processor to the max
FSKRipper replied to bkthunder's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Sorry guys, I really hope you can work this out soon but this isn't reproducable in any way for me. Shadows high, ground shadows default and I'm barely going below 50. And that my GPU is loaded at 92% doesn't suprise me. There are some dense areas (Kobuleti f.e.) where the count drops to 30fps but this has nothing to do with the tree LOD as it would have happened here also. -
Trees filling GPU processor to the max
FSKRipper replied to bkthunder's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Maybe you got my post wrong. The only issue is some thousand trees casting shadows to some other thousand trees. This is what this option should do and it does it perfectly. Taking 50% fps hit even on my 1080 is not suprising. The combination "high shadows" + default ground shadows + 80%++ Trees slider is meant for the absolute peak in computer hardware. Do it the same way as the other 99% of the people not in possession of hardware for 12000$ (including myself) and set the shadows to flat. -
Trees filling GPU processor to the max
FSKRipper replied to bkthunder's topic in Game Performance Bugs
And in your 3rd picture you can clearly see trees casting shadows on other trees which is intended by the default setting. That's the main reason for high gpu load, was tested in the 2.5 optimal performance thread and is supposed to do exactly what it does... -
Sounds good, now you have to find at least 1000 people who will pay for it and the development could start... Seriously, there is a reason developers concentrate on new famous platforms like the F-4 and Mi-24. They are self sellers. Platform updates are very risky (from the fiscal side) especially big ones you have in mind.

You must have missed a lot of stuff in the forum right? For example 19 pages of bug reports and a lot of them fixed or wip, not to mention the TGP and todays autopilot addition... In case you are aware of it, it's a pity that you think a team of half a dozen people with real jobs and lifes (I suppose) isn't dedicating every single minute of their time to their Early Access product which got a whole new base with 2.5 two weeks ago. For me the communication strategy could get some improvement but overall I'm happy with the progress. Good that everybody has his own opinion. So if you want to stay disappointed feel free to do so...

Snoopy should know the details better but I would expect the A-10C suite ED model is at it is. Remember the famous german anti-Isis Tornados incapable of using their NVG's in the cockpit? This was how long ago? :music_whistling: As long as we dont get a new suite I would not expect features that were not in place in the corresponding version.
-
Hey Hekktor. This is intended. You can find a german video by Rakuzard explaining the new stuff. To keep it short the pilots focus their NVG's to infinity to get a clear outside view and view of the HUD which is also focused for infinity. The blurry look is intended and the internal lights (MWS, ECM f.e.) are not working with the NVGs. For that reason you have a wider field of view which is not covered by the NVG optics and where you can read all displays.
