i had the same issue with the two FW-190 ( D9 and A8 ), this issue has been solved by deleting a file named views.lua which you can find under: X:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\FW-190A8 and X:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\FW-190D9 or in your case: X:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\SpitfireLFMkIX, where X: is the letter identificating your disk. this solved this long time problem with the FWs i hope this helps with the spitfire as well

@BIGNEWY i would suggest to take a look at samsung odyssey plus, with VR cover mod and the strap mod it's comfortable and also has pretty good OLED panels and a good image and colors. It does have mechanical IPD adjustment and it's cheap for what it offers and i don't agree with most of the cons written about it on the internet, i own it since its release and i'm very happy with it coming from an oculus CV1. Back on topic, i'm looking forward to cosmos reviews even if i don't expect an SDE free headset, if things are driven by the same politics behind vive pro, i'm afraid, personally i will feel disappointed. By the way we don't have any info about it at the moment, just some technical specs which are not so important considering all of the variables behind that kind of hardware (XTAL docit). I'm waiting for the reviews and hands on tests. What basically we need for a combat flight sim such as DCS, it's an hardware with the less SDE possible and the best clarity, for spotting stuff in the distance. let's see what future will tell.

Reading the entire discussion, i would say to stefew1966; congratulations for your new headset. If i only had the moneys i would buy it for sure. I hope it will give you the best VR experience you've ever had and i wish you hours and hours of fun and immersion with that "jewel" and our beloved DCS.

Mine it's a sure: "yes i want it!" and: "i don't care about how much it does costs". With that said i've bought a full VPC set (throttle, base and grip) as an upgrade for my old worn system. I would have bought a VPC grip+base instead, but it's barely impossible to buy, even harder than buy VPC stuff. Please make a bundle F-14 grip + base and please make more than a few pieces, so everyone who wants it, can buy it. Regards.

Gorbachev has placed a political reservation: these weapons must not be used to reignite the war against Iraq and to terrorize the Arab countries in the name of the revolution and exporting it. Currently i own OG vive, rift and Samsung odyssey plus, rift and vive are now collecting the dust since the day the odyssey plus arrived, there's no comparison in therms of clarity and resolution, comfort wise i would stick to rift, but about sound quality, image quality and so on, the odyssey plus has no rivals compared to all of my other hardwares, i'm curious about Pimax, but now i'm too used to basically no SDE anymore, better clarity, better colors, better resolution, for me SDE was something totally unacceptable.

Many thanks Gryzor, i was disappointed by my Odyssey plus clarity, but with this tip you made me proud of my new headset, it's just like night and day now and performance it's better than the rift but with no SDE at all now, BTW under steamVR settings i have nothing, i've just tweaked te WMR software config and then set the PD 2.0 in DCS option and bam the magic happened, thank you very much

found it throught ebay from eglobalcentral-gb, which is basically a chinese shop and they do import things from Hong Kong to UK and all over EU, because the one in the UK it's their main warehouse.

Bought it today, i will receive it if all goes well next week (i've imported it in the EU), i've bought it expecially for DCS once i tested it i will be very pleased to share my experience with it, but i really hope someone will post his/her experience before myself

A no SDE headset it's all i was waiting for, i don't care about fov, we're wearing our helmets while flying after all, but SDE it's something i find totally immersion bracking even if i deeply love my old dear oculus rift CV1, for sure this time i'll focus on a real upgrade

I can confirm it's not bugged at all, you need point and not area lasing and of course better mastering

You only have to DELETE those lines of code and you MUST NOT copy any single line of code and BE SURE that you're deleting the whole code included the final comma. If this operation is getting too hard to perform i suggest to delete the file steamvr.vrsettings, it will be recreated by steam VR software on startup, but just BE SURE TO HAVE "Advanced Supersampling" checkbox UNCHECKED in your steam VR software, before running it, after you deletedthe steamvr.vrsettings file.

Hello sorry for the late answer, just open up your steam vr software then: Settings -> Developer and then uncheck "Advanced Supersampling" checkbox now move to your main steam folder -> config folder -> steamvr.vrsettings file, open it with Notepad and you should find these lines delete everything from the very 1st { to }, included, just what shown here, then save and restart SteamVR, start DCS and you're good to go

At the moment VR is not very well implemented in DCS world, i own the specs you can read in my signature, i know DCS it's not comparable to any other product out there, but for instance on Il 2 sturmovik VR works just great with astonishing graphics, with full shadow and texutre definition and you can see no judder at all and instruments are totally readable and also shadows and effects are something breathtaking, on the other side DCS 2.5 is full of judder and shadows in VR even if set to high are not that good. I wrote all of this just because talking about what's good or what's not for VR in DCS is pointless at the moment, because 2.5 it's basically still in alpha state talking about VR visual quality and quality of life, i'm more than happy with my rift CV1 expecially for games with a high grade of VR feature implementation which i talked about some lines of text above has taken into an example. In DCS VR performance is bad at the moment, visual quality is bad in VR at the moment, but i'm totally sure it's just a matter of time, so be patient this will come for sure. ASW is something i hate and i'm using the rift with ASW disabled in any game i play with it. In the next year to come, things will be getting better and better for DCS expecially talking about VR and its performance/visual quality, i find ASW pointless with the horsepower of a GTX1080TI which is a lot better in performance than a 1080 (i had it before), so i suggest at the OP if him wants to buy an odissey, with future patches and with a 1080TI you'll be more than satisfyed. Just to point out i'm running DCS in VR with default high settings (by pressing high in the bottom right corner), SS @2.0 and ASW disabled and it's not running that bad if you're not flying on Normandy 44 map which is completely bad optimized because it shows some random FPS drops even outside of VR but with settings above caucasus and nevada maps are running great, but you know DCS 2.5 still needs a lot of work on optimization and improvements expecially on VR side.

You need the latest version of DCS World 2.5 open beta for it to be working, DCS World 1.5.8 it's discontinued

Great news! can't wait for the F-14, which is a milestone in DCS modules just like the F-18 but you know, the F-14 is very appealing, maybe due to some remnants of '80s youth, do you know what i mean? :thumbup:

The Viggen's kneeboard is broken in DCS 2.5, i mean there's no terrain texture at all in every map and no custom pages available aswell, which is a kind of not so good thing, you know, i've searched around the forums and as i can see, this is something broken since a long time. Tried to uninstall the module, reinstall it, repair DCS and so on but it's still broken, any clue about that and also it is the only one module with this problem compared to all of the other modules i own.

Same for me kneeboard is missing caucasus, nevada and normandy maps, and yes i hope that finally custom kneeboard pages will work, because of codes for the various weapons
