Make a backup of the EditorMusic folder To install the alternate theme music: 1. Open the folder "Spitfire Theme Music" 2. Inside you will see the folder "Mods." Copy this into your "DCS World" folder. 3. It will ask if you want to overwrite. Do so.

The climate of a region is public knowledge. For the Caucasus map the main challenge is that the region contains different climates. Southern Russia is colder than Georgia, so it would make sense for one part of the map to have snow while the other does not.

For a medium bomber I would rather see a B-26 instead of a P-38.

In case this ever shows up in a forum search, the above advice seems correct. I did not deactivate my modules and I could not even log-in on my friend's machines. An error message would appear about an incorrect key.

Couple questions, I am going to visit a friend who is setting up 3 machines for side-by-side flight sims. Am I allowed to activate a module on a machine that is not my own, and while my own machine still has modules activated? Or should I deactivate modules on my machine at home before I leave? Thanks!

You can still run 1.5 with a middle range system very nicely. It's 2.1 that is pushing everyone to spend, spend, spend, and even then there is no guarantee it will run well! I'm helping a friend put together a new system soon. He spent $1500. I suspect that even that won't be enough for 2.1.:doh:

Now you've all got me curious. How are you checking your SSD drive wear? Are you using one of the utilities advertised on google, or is there a way to check through Windows itself?

I'll pay for maps, no problem. But I'm not sure I would pay for a map a second time just to host it in multiplayer with a separate machine.

I have CH pedals that are 10 years old, and they still work great. CH ergonomics are not that great, but their stuff does seem to last a long time.

Those and... 7. The map designs on offer seem very roughly done. Just the same old idea of ground targets in multiple locations, so the small number of players get spread out even further. 8. Fw 190 muzzle flash in my face. We would be lucky to have airquake. That would mean being able to count on air combat within a few minutes of takeoff (if that's what you're looking for). Airquake is the foundation for more interesting types of play. People need someplace to practice and improve.

No one should have to tweak his hardware just to see aircraft at close range. I've tried almost everything myself, but it's a problem with the game, not our hardware. This thread is a veritable history lesson on the topic of model visibility. Go back and find the discussion of impostors and model enlargement and how it was going to be the better option compared to alternatives. That about sums it up. I highly recommend the module. Keep in mind that you will be at a BVR disadvantage against the FC3 fighters. The Mirage 2000C only carries 4 missiles. Its medium range missile, the 530, is Fox-1 and is on the short-side of "medium" range. That said, it is the only 4th gen fighter available for DCS. I think of it as an F-16 without Amraams.:thumbup:
