EDIT: Found it. Just make it immortal for waypoint 1, and then remove the option for subsequent waypoints. Once it's triggered into activiation, it lays immortal until it's cleared the danger zone, after which point it becomes mortal. Hello, I have some ground units set to spawn near a bombing point. The idea is for these particular units to survive the initial bomb run by AI, and allow the player to pick them off as they move to a rally point. How do I set these units to be immortal until a trigger, and then to be mortal?

Did we ever get updated info on efficacy of the ECM pod?
-
On your stores page, are you selecting 82H or 82L? Try 82H and see if that works.

Yesterday I did a cold start with 2 65F IRMVs and no TPOD. DMT was on. AG mode. Master Arm on. Sound the target thru laser des on the DMT. Hit up on the switch to get the Mavs up. I could not uncage and I could not fire. Are there speshul considerations with cold start to use IRMVs?

Nice job. Where did you get the parachute housing?

Complete Transport and Logistics Deployment - CTLD
exhausted replied to Ciribob's topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
OK, to fix it I had to reinstall the mist and ctld files. Somehow, they got corrupted between the first mission I designed with them, and the second. -

Plans for an A-4M or OA-4M? ARBS and fac capability would be A MAZ ING

So true. I'm not so enamored with the challenge of the Harrier that I think it's time for a Yak-38M lol
-
Thanks -- that's fair. Would there be a historical scenario, IE Op Allied Force in the 1990s, where API rounds were still inventoried for the Marine Corps' GAU-12 program?

Gatling gun documentary. DCS Harrier gunpod sound needs updating.
exhausted replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in AV-8B N/A
Nice find. Ammo and GAU-12 sound need improvement. -
Sorry you are so frustrated with the Harrier. To me, it's the best attack aircraft we have. To be fair, I don't bother using the AGM-65Fs, and I'm not sure they are used IRL either. But RAZBAM, can you please offer realistic ammo loadouts on the GAU-12 pod?

I worked exclusively on Pegasus engines and the sounds are actually pretty good. I heard the motors inside aircraft, outside the aircraft, inside test areas, and outside in the wild. The 'whine' is distinct and more or less ever-present. What I would change is to add a rumble when at high power. The "cones" is a good idea. But the sound samples are actually pretty good.

[REPORTED]Bug texture in front cockpit in L39ZA
exhausted replied to Jrsrambo's topic in DCS: L-39 Albatros
Yep just bought it, have it, repaired it, still there -
A-4M and F-4S for 1980s scenarios. The A-4M would bridge the gap between the older Cold War tech and the later stuff that found its way into the Harrier II. In fact, the ARBS optical bomb computing system in the Harrier II traces its lineage to the A-4M. Therefore, the A-4M offers a significant option for accurate bombing in scenarios that predate the F/A-18's use of optical pods. While an A-6E might be a little onerous and difficult to correctly implement, the A-4M effectively bridges much of the missing gap. F-4S over the F-4E, because the Echo would be a waste of plane because it can't land on carriers. Who would even want it? But, I've been thinking a simple NATO aircraft with broad appeal would be the F-5A as it served into the 1990s and offers a simple and historical option for most parts of the world. Probably more than even the MiG-21.

There really aren't any campaigns and there are few missions. But, the aircraft is AMAZING online. A-10s struggle where the AV-8B just keeps raining down death. I am working on some missions, and maybe even a campaign. But I am new to this, so it's taking a while to make the missions work and remain interesting. Some of my missions will require the Hornet though.

They should do this, and add the F-5A and Drakken!

Fascinating geography and compelling ways to use all the post-War aircraft currently in DCS

Is there a way to replace the DCS World ingame Hornet wallpaper with a Marine Hornet?
-
I think it's a necessary strike aircraft for the russian side. Also, gives Syria and Iran some teeth.

I am having problems finding which type of trigger to set. I think it's getting confused when I use "all of group out of zone", because the helos start out of the zone. Then they come into the zone and the troops appear. They leave and the troops stay. I'm confused. EDIT: UGH now they are trying to land at a nearby airfield where theey used to land right where I told them
