  1. Well, that's incredibly annoying, if you want to map a three way toggle switch :D
  2. Thank you both for the info. Well then I'm very surprised that the flaps middle position is absent in the default lua. This essentially means that the middle position is not assignable without editing the lua?
  3. Am I missing something?
  4. I need to strongly disagree with those here saying that this would be a waste of resources and that existing voice comms options are sufficient. Even though SRS works very well, like it or not, there is a reason why adoption is not universal. It's simple to use, but not simple enough. It's a hurdle for players, especially those who usually fly alone, to set up and actually use voice comms. Native radio support would dramatically increase the number of players using radio comms. Even those who are too shy to participate verbally would benefit from it passively by listening in. The widespread use of integrated voice comms in mainstream shooter titles is testament to the success of this. Look at it this way: The radios in DCS are not currently working for actual voice comms. We're literally missing functional systems. It makes perfect sense for radios to become fully functional. I think it's a great idea
  5. Well I'm glad I got a T50 base while they were still available. Having my stick extended since the Warthog, I wont ever be going back to a non-extended stick.
  6. Having FFB ticked in the options will do this to some modules.
  7. That's a really good idea. +1
  8. Since there are countless great skins out there for all aircraft, I find it's quite an effort to search for and install these. I would really like for ED to include community skins that meet quality and realism standards in the regular updates. According to the EULA user created "New Game Materials" technically belong to ED. Download size, considering the already huge size of DCS, should no longer be an issue in this day and age.
Jemand Interesse? Dann bitte PM.
  10. Just to be clear, these are the screws I tightened:
  11. Alright, I think I solved it. All the while I was going crazy thinking it's the gimbal mechanism, because the problem happend with both the Mongoos and the Warthog sticks. But it seems the culprit was loose allen screws at the base of both sticks. This looseness, combined with the large force of stiff springs and an extension caused the stick to clunk against the metal "neck" above the attachment screw.
  12. I have always noticed a slight clunking feeling in the pitch axis, expecially with a warthog grip attached, using standard springs and cams. This clunking was mostly absent with the Mongoos grip. I've now installed the stiffest springs and the clunking is much more pronounced, and present on both grips. It obviously get worse with more force applied. Does anyone have any experience with this and has been able to rectify it? I didn't notice any things that might be causing it, when I had the base open.
  13. Are we sure this is still VKB? On facebook Heatblur mentioned that the stick will be Warthog compatible. Correct me if I'm wrong, but VKB sticks can't be mounted to a Thrustmaster base, right?
  14. If you don't drop the tank before a dogfight, you're dead.
  15. I totally have to agree with the others here. Yes, VR is a compromise in image quality, but it's a completely different feeling and a superior experience overall. After one week of using the Rift I sold my TrackIR.
  16. How are they forgotten if they'e currently working on a update? That's the opposite of disappointing.
  17. Genuinely valid point. But OP is from Alabama, not Bangladesh :)
  18. 70$ to fly the most legendary fighter of all time? It's a bargain if you ask me. Not to mention: 2 F-14 models (A&B) Aircraft-carrier 2 campaigns Training missions Jester RIO AI We should really be paying much more.
  19. Great update Rudel! Very happy that the MiG-21 (one of my favourite modules) is getting some long awaited upgrades. Sounds like Corsair development is well underway, or in later stages of development?
  20. If you think that's junk, the worst I ever experienced was a opening up a Mad Catz steering wheel to find that instead of springs it utilized a textile elastic band, like those found in underwear. No joke.
  21. Maybe we need to brace ourselves for the fact that the Forrestal class carrier might not be included with the F-14, but as a separate module? I too thought that the carrier is conspicuously absent. Not that I'd mind at all. Looks like we're going to be getting much more than our money's worth with the F-14 A and B alone.
  22. Exactly, Sweviver is having such significant framerate issues because he is supersampling a already huge resolution. He says that you need to supersample in order to get a good image, but I don't see why you couldn't comfortably play it at a PD of 1.0. Surely even this must still look better than on the Rift?
  23. I'm beginning to think the Mig-21 would certainly be in better hands there. They did a stellar job of the Viggen and the Tomcat looks to be shaping up nicely. I mean no offence to Leatherneck/Magnitude, but the communication here has been minimal at best. Teams like Razbam and Heatblur are very open about their progress. Even Aviodev, despite their slow progress, have been honest and upfront. I really hope the Mig-21 will continue to be supported.
  24. While we don't know how much it will help, we do know that Brainwarp and further software improvements are coming and that they will help to a lesser or greater extent. Even then, I fear that a 2080ti will be needed for acceptable performance. I'm a late backer (6000+), so I have a little more time and I hope that the 2080ti will go down in price somewhat in the months after launch.
  25. Exactly! Almost all other modules have an in cockpit pilot body (I think the mig-21 and viggen are the only other two without). Pretty essential for immersion in VR.
