90Hz = a maximum of 90fps, does it not?

At very least this shows what an amazing amount of work has been done on DCS World in the last month. Especially on Modules that have been accused of being unfinished, bugged and stagnant, such as the M2000, MiG-21, Normandy, WW2 Assets etc. Very encouraging...

I ordered a MongoosT-50 on Tuesday last week and, having read all the talk about long turnaround times and packages being held at customs, I'm very surprised to see that the package is going to be delivered today!

I'm pretty sure what you're experiencing is a general DCS World behaviour with helicopters and ffb. Try inverting your ffb axes in the settings.

I also love the F-111, but an Intruder would certainly make sense, as it compliments the carrier and the Tomcat. Tornado would obviously also be awesome. I'd love to see more European aircraft.

If only it were that simple. I remember that there was official mentions of upcoming ATC improvements several years back now. Nothing has changed in the meantime. Since then we've had new maps and aircraft come along that make different voices much more necessary. This also applies to the wingman voices. Doesn't it annoy you, that you hear American voices when flying the Spitfire for example? (Probably why the made the Spitfire campaign around a Canadian Sqn)

Hints and Tips for the F-5E BFM Campaign
Boris replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in F-5E Aggressors BFM Campaign
I can confirm that that campaign is super difficult. It's incredibly hard to get behind the opponent and let some rounds off. Also, you need to be quick, as you only have 5 minutes for each opponent. The main way I have been able to win engagements is by forcing the enemy below the hard deck. This is fine in my view. ACM isn't meant to be easy. If you model an aircraft and a combat environment to such a realistic degree, you can't expect to be blowing people out of the sky left and right. I'm still having trouble with my fuel management though. Even if I drop my tanks just before the first engagement, I burn so much fuel in the dogfights, that I can't get home. The only way I can think of to achieve this mission and to get home to talk about it, is to kill the opponents within the first two minutes, which ich nigh impossible. How realistic is it, that pilots are left with such a lack of fuel after ACM training? Is this something that they need to contend with in real life? It seems incredibly dangerous. -
Ah yes, you're right. I think I read somewhere that the current build might be going into general release this Wednesday.

What server are you on? I always find the WW2 servers (ACG and Burning Skies) completely empty.

From the 6th of June changelog: Weirdly 2 days before it was announced as "coming improvements" on the 8th.

A major problem I had on landing was veering from side to side and dipping a wing. Applying about 20% of brake (just use the mouse wheel on the brake lever) before landing will make you much more controlled once you touch down. This makes up for the lack of an analog brake axis. Here's a great text on the subject I stole from the interwebs: Source: https://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?72714-SUPERMARINE-SPITFIRE-Take-off-and-Landing-Guide

Well if you're firing AIM-120s at F-5Es, they need all the help they can get :D Firing a single R-60 at an F-5 from a MiG-21 almost always results in a kill for me.

Maybe I'm being naive here, but can't this be solved by just setting some custom curves on your axis?
-
I think it's great. DCS needs more WW2 servers. Most importantly we need people to fly in them.
-
As I understand it, VPC has produced the first third party plug-and-play Thrustmaster compatible grip. Are more interchangeable grips planned? Replica grips for existing DCS Modules would be great. I'm sure many would like to collect and use grips for their favourite aircraft.
-
ACG and BURNING SKIES are usually up and running, but hardly any players in them. I don't really understand why. WW2 servers used to be quite popular back when we only had the Caucasus map. We now have more WW2 content than ever, but no one flying.

Even if it will take a bit more time for it to be feature complete, the sale is now. Buy now, fly later.

+1 (in a less demanding tone though) Adds to so much immersion in VR - and that's where the future is with DCS.

Maybe AvioDev should do a reverse Leatherneck (or a Belsimtek) and merge with Razbam. Razbam is also largely Spanish speaking too, if I'm not mistaken? Razbam seems to be a development powerhouse right now. The have a Mirage 2000 out and are reportedly working on a Mirage III, so why not pool resources and expertise?

I remember when they said they were confident it'll release summer of 2017. I'm happy for them to take their time, if it means getting an awesome module. For me this will be THE aircraft. No military aircraft is more iconic.

As unfortunate as it is, I too think SLI will be a thing of the past soon. Unfortunate, because DCS can use all the horsepower one can throw at it. I used to have SLI a few years back but gave up on it eventually. Less and less games support it.

F-14 FC3 version bundled with the sim/available separately?
Boris replied to Katmandu's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Me too, but it would be hard to phase out a product that thousands have already paid for. -
Regardless of how the AIM-54 will actually impact multiplayer, DCS has never been about balance :) It's about making the best virtual representation of a real aircraft (and real weapons systems) possible. If the AIM-54 really is that much of a game changer, then so be it. Opposing pilots will need to act accordingly.

Why? Razbam has done really well with the Mirage and the Harrier. One of the best 3rd party teams.
