  1. Sure, write to your AV support and request them to update their crapware.
  2. make sure its not the same as this other case: its your choice, I don’t really care.
  3. None that I know off, but maybe on that specific mission you could use the non-Supercarrier CVN-74 ?
  4. "I provide several mirror download links to cope with traffic limits. If a link doesn't work - just try the next one." did you try the mirrors? sometimes the download amounts exceed the daily limits of the storage servers.
  5. ridiculous? … and having your excellent antivirus wrongly registering an innocent file as a virus is not ridiculous? as you don’t appreciate the suggested workaround, I will unsubscribe from the thread to avoid a sterile argument, bye.
  6. Ahh ... so @MAXsenna was on the right path here Those are not modes, but default coalitions that you can choose from when creating a new mission ... only wish ED allowed for more than a single custom coalition, I'd rather be allowed to create a new coalition and give it a name, like "1944 France" or "1944 Pacific", to reuse on further missions.
  7. ok, guess you will have to wait for an update of the antivirus for this issue to be solved while keeping the protection.
  8. double check, if Windows see no 3rd party AV installed (even if outdated), it should enable Defender. You can check on "Windows Security", a green tick mark denotes a working Defender.
  9. Piss poor? ... what I find poor is this expectation of you that a fault of the Antivirus software, tagging as infected a file that is not, should somehow be solved by an entirely different company. Why don't you better go onto your AV company's forum and tell them that they are doing a piss poor job?
  10. When you uninstall ANY 3rd party antivirus, Windows will automatically enable its own: ms defender, without even asking. the newly enabled ms defender will promptly quarantine suspect files as expected… what you need to do is manage your AV, adding an exclusion for DCS, to avoid the av deleting files without even asking this fixes the problem going forward, but it doesnt undo your AV prior actions, so you need to do a dcs repair to recover any lost file.
  11. a reinstall does not fix this issue, as your antivirus is all too happy to delete the suspect file again … you first command your AV to not even look into the dcs folders, and only after that you run a repair to recover the lost file (a reinstall works too, but its a much lengthier process than a repair)
  12. but why redo all? I would just redo the aircraft I'm currently flying/studying ... why redo those aircraft I'm not flying anymore? I doubt anyone uses more than 2-3 aircraft at a time.
  13. Only thing I see different from my system, is that yours has this warning: "WARNING EDCORE (Main): hypervisor is active" Are you running DCS inside a Virtual Machine? a rented server maybe?
  14. I dont see this problem on my PC, which is on the latest DCS version: but I'm still on Windows 10, so maybe its a Win 11 issue only.
  15. So, you were actually editing by hand the Bindings configuration file, and didn't mention it on the original post. You should try this Mod, which stores your custom bindings at /Saved Games/ avoiding the need for touching the default bindings:
  16. hola, que bueno que hayas resuelto el problema, pues an el dcs.log no se apreciaba nada anormal. saludos
  17. Maybe this video can help a bit:
  18. https://www.thewindowsclub.com/exclude-a-folder-from-windows-security-scan
  19. OK, I did a quick test and found that these old templates, while they still somewhat work, they are now so old that the Mission Editor does not load the objects name properly. It looks like this: (wait a bit for the HD version, as its still uploading) I will do a quick update, by means of opening the original template Mission on the current Mission Editor and then Save it as Template overwriting the original. It will not fix any clipping errors that may exist (because the Caucasus Map changed when DCS 2.5 was released), but its the best I can do with the available free time that I have. This will take a few days, I will update here once the updated Templates are available. Best regards and thanks for reporting this Eduardo
  20. Its not the only way, a far more secure way is to just configure Defender to exclude from its action the DCS folder.
  21. Can you tell me which specific airbase are you using? Most don't have any flyable aircraft as they are meant to provide background elements only, the mission designer has to add the aircraft he want for his mission.
  22. Should work for everyone, but many people still believe that just the exclusion is needed, forgetting to repair the damage that the Antivirus did.
  23. Can you show us the content of your F-16C_50 folder, where your bindings are stored ... more data is needed before attempting a suggestion ... on my PC the folder looks like this:
