  1. Awesome, thank you. I will look in to some tutorials for learning this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I have about 30 hours of travel ahead of me starting tonight, so I figure now is as good of time as any to get a start on learning to 3D model for the design of my cockpit. Any software/program suggestions are welcome...SketchUp? Fusion 360? Blender? Thanks in advance for any suggestions
  3. Thrustmaster Reveal - TPR Rudder System $550 for pedals, $110 for shipping, all in including PP fees is $693. So yes, seems prices have gone up.
  4. The footprint and design of these look great. 15 pounds of materials is nice as well. This, mainly Slaws. If these come in at $500 these aren't going to be competing in the same space as Crosswinds. Seems realistic. Slaws are $550 base (add another ~$150 for shipping and PayPal fees for US buyers), so a $500 pricetag would slide them in comfortably under that.
  5. If you're struggling with AAR at very low speeds, try putting out full flaps once you get to safe speeds...obviously beware of the lift that this will create and be prepared to trim it out. An IRL Hornet driver ("Jello" from the Fighter Pilot Podcast) said a lot of Navy pilots prefer to AAR with full flaps (said it was all personally preference, some guys went full some went with cruise setting) versus what the NATOPS docs recommend. Might be worth a shot.
  6. It's clearly still on a Warthog base, so yes.
  7. Classy way to title a thread...
  8. A VR user using an appropriate in-game "Forced IPD" corrects for this.
  9. Manual freqs do work on the Harrier (or at least they did). Set Comm 1 or Comm 2 to “M”, enter frequency on UFC, hit Enter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Isn’t what you’ve pictured for the Super Hornet? I thought the Legacy Hornets only had a 2 position CM switch? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Yes, at or before E3. But it’s not going to be the first thing they announce leading up to the convention. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Wonder if they offer a proper damping mechanism?
  13. Thrustmaster should send me a set to test head-to-head against the holy grails (Slaw's) :music_whistling:
  14. Relax, they are announcing things one at a time. Common practice is you don't shoot the grand finale off first.
  15. Awesome, thanks again dude!
  16. It should move the cone up and down when you scroll the wheel, or at least that is how it works in the real Hornet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. I would assume the sim knows there is WOW, which would raise the AB detent in the real jet. That said, in the real jet, you can still just push that detent with enough force.
  19. Fantastic to hear, thank you sir. S! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Why are you running PD and SSAA at the same time? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Locking a target on A/A radar like the real jet?
  22. From NATOPS: So like I said, the detent is raised and you need to use the lifts to go right over it (unabated)...or can you 32 pounds of force push through it, which obviously DCS has no way to simulate so you just push right through.
  23. I thought FA18 had a hands off stick carrier launch? Engaging AB in air should not require any operating of finger lifts, assuming realistic modeling. The detent for AB (which requires finger lists to get past) it only activated with weight on the wheels and launch bar extended or the arresting hook DOWN. When these criteria are met the afterburner lockout extends and the finger lifts must be raised or a force of approximately 32 pounds must be applied before the throttles can be moved to MAX. So either it’s modeled to only “lock you out of AB” on the deck ready for a cat launch, or maybe it’s modeled that with ignoring the finger lift button bindings completely that you just push right through with 32lbs of force? 24. You’re not inadvertently flaring and hook slapping, are you? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. MFG Crosswind Combat version For sure. Looks like he missed that “taking orders by October or November” timeline he gave me last year. Happy I ended up going with the Slaw’s, would’ve been tough to continue holding out/waiting this long with no clear end in sight. In any case, I am sure once they are here they will be well worth the wait. Milan does great work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
