  1. I would check your anti virus if it removed any files. But if you have DCS installed, you already have a functioning modelviewer2.exe in your bin folder of your DCS installation. Just run that one instead.
  2. You can land with TACAN only, but then you need to be in the TCN mode (PLS/TCN uses a mix between ILS and TACAN, so turning off the ILS will cause issues). And since TACAN is a 2D approach, you won't get vertical guidance, so you need to descent according to the approach chart (from a specific altitude at a specific distance away with a specific descent rate (5 * your Ground Speed = 3 degree glidepath)) It's PLS/TCN or PLS/NAV. So you can have either ILS with TCN or ILS with NAV, but you cannot mix TCN and NAV together on the HSI.
  3. You turned the ILS off. Turning the volume knob to 0 will turn off the ILS. And since those markers are the localizer and glideslope deviation bar, turning off the ILS will park the deviation bars up and left. Maybe this table helps a bit. It might also be that I don't fully understand the issue you are trying to describe. I think some things might be lost in translation. Not sure what you want to say with this...
  4. The easiest way to see if it is worth purchasing for you is to just go ahead and trial it for the 2 weeks and see if you like it.
  5. Some weapons weapons feature modes like VIS, DTOS or BORE, which enables you to do that. You get a TD Box on your HUD that you can then move onto target and employ the weapon that way instead of fiddling around with the TGP/FCR.
  6. Korrekt, beides geht nicht. Allerdings kannst du die Sidewinder "uncagen", dann folgt der Suchkopf dem, was er gerade aufgeschnappt hat, bis du den Suchkopf wieder "cage", also einfach "uncage" loslässt.
  7. You could for example put FCR as SOI, Range as low as possible, enter SP, TMS up, switch to TGP and refine SPI location. You can also use the HMCS to see if you are moving it into the right direction. What also often helps is if you get some distance between you and the target. Distance means time, less fumbling and in general a more relaxed and smooth setup.
  8. TACAN is a non-precision approach method that has no vertical guidance and does not use the ILS crosshair. The ILS crosshair is for ILS only. If you want it, you need to turn ILS on and tune to an according frequency and be in one of the two PLS/XYZ modes on the HSI. TACAN indications are on the HSI only, as there is no vertical guidance.
  9. You can select DL targets via the HSD and they will show up on the HUD/HMCS, but other than that, no, there is no IFF indication on the HUD.
  10. Well, the best advise I can give you is to look through the topics linked yourself and build your own opinion with all the material and documents presented in these topics.
  11. Both say they modelled it according to the specification and documentation they have...
  12. Can you upload a short track? Perhaps an empty mission but with the same coordinates? So we can see if you are doing something wrong or if it's something else.
  13. If you use the search function, you will see that this topic has been discussed quite extensivly, both by ED and HB.
  14. Did you also set the elevation correctly? Can you confirm with the TGP that the steerpoint is om target? Did you press CZ? If employing JDAMs, did you lase for at least 3 seconds prior to drop?
  15. Can you upload a track?!
  16. Is your anti virus quarantining any files? Have you removed all mods?
  17. As far as I know it was always off?

  19. The gun ammo is a box with percentage below the fuel slider.
  20. Unload all gun ammo? Force them to use a specific type of weapon with the advanced waypoint options?
  21. Uh, that's weird. It works just fine for me, and I haven't changed anything. Are you trying to rearm from the start of the mission or did you fly and land and try it that way?
  22. No, I mean mods, not modules/DLC's. Mods like for example the A-4E, Grinellis F-22 etc. In the new launcher go to the "files" tab and on the right side you should get the "repair" option.
  23. If there are no winds, the HUD shouldnt be offset. There is also no reason why the offset is caused by the map, unless you have a corrupted install or are doing something wrong. If there was truly a bug, more people would complain/report it. Make sure you remove all of your mods and run a full repair, and then try to reproduce it and save the track. Thats the easiest way to see what it could be.
  24. A track is more helpful than a screenshot. HUD being offset is usually because of wind, unless you mean tilting due to INS drifting, be it due to no GPS available or the NAV switch being in NAV instead of IFA. But yep, we'll only be able to tell for certain if we get a short track.
  25. Where's the track? What aircraft? You mention carrier and Caucasus. Do you see the same behaviour on other maps? What about airfields on Caucasus? What's the wind setting? Are you intercepting the Glideslope at the correct distance/altitude ratio? Upload a track. So many questions...
