I get the a better result by deleting all the following:
opacity_sensitive_materials =
{
MDG_font_name(MDG_SELF_IDS.HI),
MDG_material_name(MDG_SELF_IDS.HI),
"MPD_DMC_OUTLINE",
"font_MPD_DMC_outline",
"font_MPD_DMC_main",
}
I've quickly tried it with my aoc c27g1 and it seemed to work fine. Although there is one thing that made me quickly turn it off. Right after the computer has booted up, the display turns black and comes back a couple seconds later. It's probably normal but I find it a tad annoying. Anyone else experiencing this?
Same thing with A-10C pitot freeze or Ka-50 rotor and engine ice. It has been discussed at length already. It will only go away when moisture simulation will have been implemented in the sim.
Thanks. Unfortunately the mod displays coordinates in lat long decimal, not what the F18 uses. I guess we'll have to wait until ED implement the ability to enter MGRS coordinates like in the real Hornet.
After contacting a JTAC, he will give you target coordinates in MGRS. In the A-10, it's no problem, you have the option to enter MGRS coordinates in the CDU and create a waypoint off of them.
Now how do you do that in the Hornet? It's crucial if you want to conduct a realistic CAS mission as the target location isn't supposed to be known in advance. The UFC keypad only allows you to enter coordinates in Lat Long format...
Thanks for your help!
Recently found this very useful tool (especially in VR) allowing us to make a notepad pop up in the cockpit and write anything down.
All I wish it had is the ability to draw using the mouse. When having a VR headset on, it's hard to see what we are typing on the keyboard so I wish we could use the mouse instead.
DCS Scratchpad
I'm having a weird issue since I upgraded to my 1080 ti. MSAA (anti aliasing) isn't looking as good as it used to.
To be more precise, now it smoothes out some objects but not everything. Some stuff on the screen is left looking like MSAA had no effect on them.
So the picture is looking less sharp overall. Has anyone had that issue in the past?
I'm with you on this one. At least they should get rid of the duplicate thing in the controls menu. It looks very messy there and quite daunting for people who are using the sim for the first time.
Hi Sedlo, first off thanks for creating this mission. It's definitely one of the best I've played, if not the best, at least in terms of immersion factor.
I'm having an issue though. When I load up the mission, I get an error message. It goes away after going in the mission editor and deleting the associated trigger.
Yeah it's doing it in both VR and on regular monitor.
I had that too in DCS since a while ago actually. I started noticing it since June. Now I'm getting full on screen flickering it's annoying...
Other modern games use multi core much better. Going from a gtx 980 to a 1080 ti, I saw more than double the fps in pretty much all games except DCS, where the gains were marginal. It clearly shows that DCS is holding modern GPUs by quite a thick margin...
Thanks for the info mate. I just got myself a 1080 ti and was astonished to see my fps remained exactly the same as with my gtx 980... I have a 4670k (@4.2ghz) which is a slightly newer (but still old) cpu than the 2600k you had and it looks like it is holding back my graphics card like it did for you :(
Other games like witcher 3 give me a 100% fps boost but because DCS is basically locked to a single core, well I'm getting no improvement.
