Of course but it doesn't fix the problem. By having only one version installed at a given time, some people are still split between the two versions.

Open Beta is definitely splitting the community, it's a fact, not everybody has both versions installed. I personnally wish we didn't have an open beta quite frankly.

I read that in the Mirage IV, the airframe would start to cook passing the max allowed airspeed (Mach 2.2 like the Mirage 2000). The pilot would experience a burning smell and even see smoke in the cockpit at Mach 2.5. It's very likely that the same thing would happen in the Mirage 2000, instead of its wings ripping out. But hey that's just my educated guess.

I don't even know how you manage to play online with the BF-109... when I log in these days I never see any WWII servers online.

You're mixing things up. There is a difference between having a swastika on your aircraft and wanting all trains to head to Paris or whatever... I'll leave it at that. What I will say though, is that I understand ED's point of view. Swastika being illegal in some countries makes it quite problematic to enable it in the game.

This show has great graphics and storytelling but tends to exagerate things quite a bit...

Bf109 cockpit looks perfectly fine to me. Mustang obviously needs a rework but not the German planes. I don't get it...

I agree. I am especially looking forward to getting the Yas Marina circuit. It's a major landmark near Al Dhafra airbase. A bit like the racetrack near Nellis for NTTR.

Data cartridge would be really handy especially to set up countermeasures profiles before the flight.

There are plenty of issues with Al Dhafra and other bases as well. ED don't seem to care much about ATC these days...

Same thing for me. I just got crash on the Caucasus mission editor too. :(

It doesn't work! I am having the same issue. Launching a flight in Nevada or Persian Gulf makes the game crash and deleting the saved games folder did absolutely nothing.

Hi, There's an issue currently where static aircrafts are placed above parking spots, on the roofs. On the attached pic, the messerschmitt bf 109 in the middle is my aircraft (player) and thus is the only one not suffering from the issue. Player aircrafts as well as clients are placed correctly but not statics. Screenshot taken at Al Dhafra airbase.

It must be something with your setup. I haven't heard anybody having this issue and never had it myself.

I'd be glad to see this issue finally fixed. It lowers the immersion factor quite a bit...

Yes, I would advise to wait until the end of September when we will finally get benchmarks for the new RTX series cards. Upgrading right now would not be very wise.

It must have a chip inside that's capable of recognizing an aircraft's shape. It's pretty easy to make when you think about it, it's just image recognition sotware. You have to understand that we, the average Joe, really don't know much about the capabilities of the missile in real life. So making a statement that it should be that way or this way just isn't reasonnable. I'm not saying the weapons in DCS are perfect but the thing is, without any proof or any data to support your statement you have to consider that there's a very high chance of it being false.

Super cool dude and what a great aircraft the mig 21 was. I enjoyed watching it despite the interviewer always asking the same questions mechanically even when the interviewee already gave the answer 3 times...
