Zohardv, Are you using Release or Open Beta? The F-16 has had quite a few fixes to SMS and weapons management since Release was last updated.

Make sure the aircraft has at least 1 pre planned steerpoint in the mission editor before launching the mission, currently steerpoint and SPI are the same thing (WIP) so I’d you have no steerpoint then you have no SPI and the jet cannot plan a CCRP for it.

That is footage from the launch video of the F-16 from last year. The AGM-65s shown are just there for the footage and are not functional.

There are walkman volume controls, make sure that he hasn't somehow got those bound to anything else?

The Tomcat released as EA more finished then the Hornet is currently. It was a 1st day buy for me and I haven’t regretted it for a second. It’s a work of art. The only thing I suggest is that if you’re using a lower end system the half resolution cockpit textures improve performance significantly.

Flying a carrier approach in the hornet is similar to formation flying or air to air refuelling, if the throttles are stationary = you're doing it wrong. You want small movements, very often. This makes the response time of the engines much less of an issue.

Yeah I'm surprised this isn't one of Jesters' standard features as well. He lets you know where you're at when you're filling up but doesn't say anyhing when you're running on fumes. Would be great if it was something you could disable in crew contract so if you're limping back to base knowing you're low on gas you can shut him up.

Does it only happen in certain missions. Or does it happen in all missions where you have Viper wingmen?

Its based around QNH so if the mission pressure is set to anything other than standard the HUD TGP box will be in the wrong place, that's why it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I reported it here: so hopefully it'll get fixed. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=269191

Hi Flyingwolf, As I said the aircraft has 2 radios, Com 1 and Com 2, as you can see from the two buttons at the top left of your UFC/ICP. You are listening to both of those radios simultaneously. So it is possible to hear a transmutation on Com 1 and reply to it on Com 2 which of course may be set to a different frequency. Since you have Easy comms enabled, this cannot be the case. Do you have any other easy options enabled like Easy or Game aircraft systems?

What does it do? Open the speedbreak only while one button is held?

I've never been able to refuel from neutral airfields... when was this a thing?

The aircraft has 2 radios, make sure you are transmitting on the correct radio, You may be hearing them on radio 2, and transmitting to them on radio 1.

One of the rotary volume knobs under the throttle is called "Threat", that controls the RWR Volume. And yes the real F-16 stick barely moves as well. This is because the flight controls are fully digital and the stick measures input pressure not movement. So you pull on the stick and even though it doesn't really move (It flexes maybe 5mm at the top) It registers that as a pitch up input. Some of us even have sim sticks that work the same way. ------------------- Dammit, ninja'd twice! :megalol: I'm getting slow in my old age.

It depends what reference frame you're talking about. If you're viewing it from the reference frame of the aircraft (and by extension the pilot and the G-meter) then I'm not sure thats quite correct. If you're in a consistent 45 degree dive with no pitch rate then the vertical axis of the aircraft is not experiencing 1G, as part of gravity's force is in the longitudinal axis of the aircraft, helping it accelerate. To achieve a load factor of 1G in a 45 degree dive you need to have positive pitch rate, so it cannot be a "straight non-curving path". This is why aircraft that have FBW systems that attempt to hold 1G will tend to pitch up gently while in a dive. To achieve 1G of vertical loading from the aircraft/pilots point of view with no pitch rate you have to be in straight and level flight. Of course you can achieve 1G in other situations, but all of those cases require pitch rate of some kind. Aaaand everybody reading is like: :thumbup:

I still don't understand, sorry. All the aircraft in DCS have different keyboard controls, as they all have different user interfaces inside the cockpit, so I don't see how you can have a unified Joystick to keyboard profile which will control all planes. I generally find it better to bind the controls for each aircraft direct to the joystick individually. I have common controls bound the same across all my aircraft, gear is the same button etc etc. I also fly BMS, and I don't see any massive difference between the number of bindings between the DCS F-16 cockpit and the BMS cockpit. All my HOTAS controls are bound as per IRL in both sims.
