  1. Damn every RW campaign is welcome and 100% buy for me. Just hope I wont have to fly behind AI doing noe flight..... :)
  2. Hm.. thats weird what you say as I am 100% sure, as I fly the shark in dark very often, last night I did as well, when I turn nav light to 100%, it lights up the cockpit, not as noticeable as the anticol light but still visible, so I keep it at 30% for that reason. If you have tested with a landing light facing you, then you should check the backpanel of the cockpit, not the instruments, and you should see the shadow from the window frames etc... Again I am not sure, but to me it looks like the lights do not cast shadows and they lit trough everything, but I might be wrong.
  3. It is unlikely that the Cockpit update will fix this but I really hope ED will prove me wrong. And also, I hope 2019 doesn't mean we will see the new cockpit in Dec 2019....
  4. Yeah that issue is veeeeery annoying. Your suggestion is a decent workaround but not a fix. The fix is to make all lights to cast shadows! As it is not only the anticol light. Try in dark, to turn your nav lights to 100% - Same issue. Also try having someone behind you with taxi light on - same issue. Park on a FARP with farp lights on - same issue.. and so on... Really hate that ED keep ignoring to comment on this major lighting bug even tho it is reported in many modules forums including the general dcs 2.5 forums.
  5. The Pilot name is Rumen Radev, used to be an Air force General, now is President of Bulgaria :smilewink: Flight over LBSF airport.
  6. May be a little off topic, but this is an issue for ALL modules, the most of the campaigns available for free or payware are towards people already very competent with the module. I and probably many like me, really miss this type of campaigns which will simulate real live training/practice and fulfill the gap between the simple training missions and more advanced campaigns. The only exceptions are A-10 maple flag missions, L-39 Kursant and M-2000 default campaign. As for the CA campaign, I am happy that ED is coming back to this module, I own it from long time ago, never learned it, I would definitely buy a more training oriented campaign and give it a shot(and this is valid for pretty much all modules - yes I have them all) But I will stay away from this one if it requires you to be real army commander to play it. And if you will provide feedback to ED please mention this - Pay more attention to briefings and always provide them as PDF aside of the in game briefing! Good example are Baltic_dragon campaigns!
  7. This seems to be the case with pretty much all ED/BST modules. Like their are all focused on the Hornet and the rest are abandoned for the time being. And the problem is every new update brings new bugs which will remain for months or even years.
  8. You have a fundamental mistake in your perspective in all your points. Those are not modern jets, those are pretty much the first jets. Engine spool up is very slow which means it has very big throttle reaction lag, you need to anticipate for that and this makes trimming more tricky to do but definitely not as bad as you described. I have no problems trimming it for level flight, of course trim is not autopilot you can't trim for hands off flying in this old jets. Another point is that those aircraft have very small swept wing high wing load, another reason why they are bouncy and not so stable. On the other hand ww2 birds have almost no throttle lag and big straight wings, once trimmed, they are very stable. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  9. f35 is the same as f-30 with added labs bombing and gar8. So just not using gar8 is close enough representation of late korea war. I believe there were engagements late in the war between the mig15bis which we have and f86 f30 which has the same characteristics as what we have. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  10. I am not a MiG pilot, quite the opposite :) Will try to join with a few buddies next Saturday and see with your guys how many Sabers we can have. May be we can plan a big invasion on RED base, split on a few cap/strike packages and waste the reds :) If you haven't already, join KOREA!1952 discord, link is on the 1st page. 11. Nice! Hope to see you in the air this Saturday :)
  12. Hi, I was trying similar approach in the lua, but it is more than the value, if you see for example "unknown ship" button, also has value 1 for down and 0 for up, but it works as expected tho.
  13. ...UP Have the same issue and it is not only the power button but all of them. EDIT: It's only the power button. Tried to fix it in the lua but the issue is not there. So fix from ED is needed.
  14. Yeah it could be, I don't really know, I just find my self using a lot of stick force on approach and landings as it is really hard to keep it trimmed and the nose goes all over the place all the time :)
  15. In fact I figured it out. And it looks like a bug to me but not sure tho. When you tune a new station, HSI is not showing it jsut yet but the tacan will play the signal and the volume knob has no effect. Once HSI starts showing the TACAN, volume knob starts working as well. It is probably that warm up period you say about, but then either signal should not be played or the volume knob should be working.
  16. I find the F-5 has extreme big throttle to pitch lag, it starts to accel or decelerate and after sometime it starts to change the pitch attitude, which leads to lots of trim/throttle overcorrection which can be what you observe as well. Try to trim for landing AoA and control by throttle and you will see. I don't know how realistic it is, might be or might be not, but I don't like how it behaves to throttle inputs.
  17. Just want to up your post as I feel the same. Would be good at least to see "reported" tag to this. Indeed it is all artificial lights on all modules. It is an issue since differed shading was released and it is really disappointing that ED simply ignores it. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  18. There isn't a proper map, neither MiG-21 or the F-5 we have are the versions from Vietnam (Mig is very different) neither any F-5 was used too much in Vietnam at all, rarely for some CAS missions only later in the war and have never encountered a MiG.
  19. Fov is higher therefore more scenery and objects to be rendered simultaneously. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  20. Change Graphic settings occasionally, normally PD 1.5, shadow flat or low, MSAA x2 or none. Fly both SP and MP , when I test performance and check utilization I do it in SP but I don't see how my GPU utilization will decrease in MP vs SP with the same settings. If you load too many AI units, sure that will utilize more CPU so some servers will load CPU due to high amount of AI calc, but VR is pushing the GPU to the max and not CPU in my case. My old system was GTX970 with 4790 and the result was pretty much the same, CPU cores were not going 100 but the GPU was always maxed out, I also could clearly notice the slight increase of frames by overclocking the GPU. Not saying it to argue, just sharing my experience. Now for sure, if one has RTX2080TI and I3 CPU might bottleneck but with equal generation CPU and GPU, from my experience in VR the bottleneck is the GPU.
  21. Not my experience, 1080ti easily goes to 100% with relatively low graphics with 8700k. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  22. Disregard!! Tested again, it seems it works. Dunno what happened.
  23. Flying real hornet after just dcs :D I imagine one will get a heart attack during the acceleration on takeoff roll if manage to get it that far :) Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk
  24. Nice. Would be cool if we can have those codes modeled :)
