I found this info http://articles.latimes.com/1987-10-17/news/mn-3719_1_surface-to-surface says the missile is towed on trailer behind a radar guidance truck.

Can we please have the older F-14 project posts made by Cobra stickied so we don't have to hunt for them since they are official developer posts? one for example is the information on the campaign plots. Thanks
-
Is this still a thing or is the idea scrapped???

I watched the whole video, and as a proud M2000 and AV8B customer of RAZBAM's I'm glad you guys are taking the initiative to reach out to the community more (something other 3rd party devs should start doing and take note of) my vote, as I don't usually comment on youtube videos is the F-15E... More info on that because it was a big surprise to see how much work was done on it so far, and the Boeing license.
-
did RAZBAM already have license for A-6 from ED? I forget if they did
-
do you have any videos? What Razbam should do is make it upto the mission maker how they want the deck configured of aircraft IMHO That way you add flexibility to the deck configurations. looks like a nice site with lots of images, even when on excercise http://www.seaforces.org/usnships/lha/LHA-1-USS-Tarawa.htm

i'm talking about how it is IRL not ingame (which should mimic IRL [yes?] it is a sim after all) as you can see, plenty of images online of what i'm talking about...

But really the helos should be on the helo spots and not on the tram line. From my observations, the white K looking lines are where the helos operate and the tram line is only for AV8B. And there is good reason for this, if not... The main rotor is too close to the island superstructure of the ship and you would have a rotor strike on the island. At least that is what I have noticed when watching pictures and videos of USMC aviation at sea.

I got 1:47 first try

There is no way that briefing video can be real, that was staged as a joke... right? I mean project APESHITT???
-
This was an awesome video and I would love to see more like this for even more aircraft in DCS. It just goes to show you have stuff in the sim is so close to the real thing.

I'm confused at to how MAC compares to my ownership of FC3 + every module on STEAM including the theaters and campaigns. Basically, if it was released on STEAM... I own that module/campaign/terrain.

how do I sign up for the E-mail newsletter? I normally have to check the forums.

Just curious, no newsletter for today?

Trim and pitch balance - How does it really work?
Baz000 replied to Wyverex's topic in DCS: L-39 Albatros
Also in a turn your stall speed is higher, which means you will stall sooner in a banked turn (accelerated wing stall) So you need to add power in turns as well (to keep from stalling the aircraft wing) -
Trim and pitch balance - How does it really work?
Baz000 replied to Wyverex's topic in DCS: L-39 Albatros
In regards to the level turns with the plane, this is a load factor issue EG: in the campaign, often times you are required to make a 45 degree bank turn... In order to hold level altitude and not increase it (too much back-pressure on stick & reduction in airspeed) or decrease it (not enough back-pressure on stick & increase in airspeed) What is needed is to "pull" a certain amount of "G" in the turn, to maintain level flight... Not too much and not too little... Its kinda a Goldilocks zone type thing. check out this here it explains it well: http://www.boldmethod.com/learn-to-fly/aerodynamics/why-does-stall-speed-increase-with-bank-angle/ Then after reading that check out this accelerated wing stall IRL (Which if you fly the P-51 in DCS you know darn well how easy it is to over-control and get into) http://www.boldmethod.com/blog/video/2015/03/pilot-skims-the-water-in-air-race/ -
TM Warthog Throttle Curve for the Hornet
Baz000 replied to Greekbull's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
I'll have to give this one a try when I get a chance, something that has been bothering me for a while is the throttle axis tuning for the Hornet... -
Maybe we get more news in July just like Prowler111 said? Good to see they got license agreement with ED (we already knew that) but even better to have agreement with BOEING!!!
-
can someone confirm Andrew's settings for the hotas warthog on the F-18?
-
as am I, I was waiting for news on this before investing into any new mounts or HOTAS systems.
-
More Aggressor squadron F-18 skins for DCS F-18 Hornet plz ED, especially the fighter weapons school at Fallon that we had with the earlier hornets before module release
-
Razbam just posted old video of F-15E WIP on their facebook, more updates to come in usual RAZBAM style they say...

The way I understood it, when the FAQ was originally written was that 1 week discount on initial launch on STEAM was due to STEAM users not being able to pre-purchase and thus have same offer as standalone users. I understand, it was stated to be a miscommunication... But I also understand why some STEAM users are not 100% pleased with this announcement.
-
The stand-alone people shouldn't get pissed off, they got a pre-purchase discount on both modules right now the STEAM users are getting the short end of the stick, I mean thank you for releasing those modules earlier on STEAM so we can enjoy it now rather than months later (which was never really disclosed in clear language until now) I really would like to see the two distribution platforms become equal rather than this back and forth between the two. Using STEAM as a platform is bringing DCS exposure to the masses, its far more visible than the DCS E-store. Some type of monetary discount as a concession for non ability to pre-purchase these modules on Steam should be absolutely necessary to keep things even between Steam and Standalone, and would prove to be a better business practice when it comes to STEAM users. With all that said, I think a mature respectful conversation and expressions of views is much more constructive and professional than the majority of rants I have been reading about this issue today.

Anything you can talk to us about it or is it all still under a NDA?
