  1. Looks like you exceeded EGT limits. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=196588
  2. So you can at least turn the traffic off and they don't show up? When I set the traffic to off in mission editor (Caucasus), then I still have visible cars.
  3. Maybe you might consider the "transparent control indicators"? They're not as ugly as the red ones. Therefore they don't disturb that much.
  4. Well, I just flew the mission again in DCS 2.5 and the text is still not localized ;-) However, still one of the best missions IMO. A real "endurance" test and it's always cool when you finished the duty after over 2 hours with almost no fuel left.
  5. Even though not as sexy as the Huey, I'd still rate it as my favourite helicopter in DCS.
  6. Just uploaded my first livery (don't know how long it takes until ED activates it). Even though the Swiss Air Force doesn't use Mi-8, I created a skin based on the Super Puma. See it in action on youtube:
  7. Solved... I noticed a typo in the defaut.lua, therefore it was a missing texture. For the 2nd problem, I decided to use a different spec file.
  8. I'm actually working on my first Mi-8 livery. Most thing worked fine. I did the 4 textures, but I'm using the original layer 2 (*_spec.dds), therefore I have them set to false in the default.lua. However, I have two "patches" on the texture where I have no clue where it comes from. So the first question - is this from the spec file or do I simply oversee something in the textures file? (see first screenshot) 2nd question - IMO the side looks a bit strange when the it's facing the sun. Those bolts and stuff seems "too much". Is this normal or do I have to create an own spec texture file? If so, is there a template around? Personally I think it looks a bit ackward on the "sunny" side. It looks fine on the shadow side.
  9. So what command did you gave the wingman in the end? Yeah, would be interesting if you could tell the convoy to hold the position.
  10. Oilfield campaign mission 6 (cinematic)
  11. When flying with sling load, you often get the emergency fuel warning. There's still plenty of fuel left though. Furthermore, the fuel indicator is slightly "jumping" around. See video: Edit: Happened e.g. in Oilfield Campaign Mission 4 (Generators)
  12. There's no need to do that anymore. It's fixed with the hotfix 3. However, sling load is still broken as discussed on other threads.
  13. I just tried mission 8 but to me it seems impossible to spot any enemy due to the trees. And the new more realistic night vision don't make it easier. Did anyone manage this mission so far? I had to check out some videos of 1.5 to get an idea where the enemies might be. I also set the AI to free fire, hoping they'd do the job...but they don't.
  14. just some screenshots taken a week ago in an online session - winter session in Caucasus.
  15. When I put the co-pilot on free-fire, the ammo doens't count down. However, when I told him to stop fire (I also hid and enabled the crew windows), the counter showed the correct ammo again (not seen in video but in screenshot). (happened in UN campaign mission 7)
  16. It's open beta...we're the testers :-/ I agree though, sling load is pretty essential for the helicopter pilots, therefore it's something that should have been noticed and adressed before.
  17. Yeah, better report it twice than not at all. This way ED and Belsimtek may be aware of the problem ;-)
  18. LOL, yeah....however, it's really game breaking for some campaigns/missions :-/
  19. So how did you do the 2nd mission? Canon, rockets, wingman...?
  20. Yeah, I decided to report it in the general DCS 2.5 Open Beta bug section. It reminds me of the Tacoma bridge which was swinging more and more until it collapsed...
  21. I already posted it in the Argo Campaign thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3399298&postcount=14 However, I suppose it's a general problem and not mission related. The cargo swings more and more until it unhooks, even in steady flight:
  22. The fire was no problem to me even though I had to exceed the EGT up to 700° to lift it. Once gaining speed, I also have the "jumping cargo" problem though...looks like a general sling load glitch to me? I think I flew straight with no input to the cyclic/collective, but the cargo starts to swing more and more until it unhooks (see video) Maybe it should be reported in the bug section? Anybody managed to successfully sling load cargo so far?
  23. There's a small bug (or let's say a glitch) in the 1st mission. Maybe it's a DCS problem. The jet that lands on the carrier always crashes into one of the parked plane (when he's taxiing) as you can see in the video. (at 0:47)
  24. Yeah, I noticed that when I edited the Elbrus Rescue mission and when the first hotfix was released...
  25. Ok, thank you. I may give it a try. Hopefully ED will rework the missions. There are quite some (not just Ka-50) where all the new trees causes problems.
