It´s so hard that they haven´t done it yet. KA-50 was done in cooperation with Kamov. A-10C was an official product for the US Air National Guard that they allowed a despecced version of to be released. The Roadblocks are russian laws, contracts, secrecy and other bullshit. Stop assuming because plane A or B is being done, that means plane C is equally possible. It just leads to unrealistic expectations. Especially if those planes are from different countries or companies...

Buddylasing by A-10C or JTAC works fine tho. Just set up your lasercodes (use default 1688 for extra easyness) and the LST will make it incredibly easy to find what your buddy is lasing for you. The "Talk On" is such a rare art...buddylasing on Mirage or F5 get´s incredibly frustrating on Multiplayer when the lasing platform driver doesn´t know how to describe where I should look...

DCS 2.1 get´s updated usually a week after 1.5

I have the issue that AGM-65K (havent tried others yet) will not go from STBY to RDY at all, even tho EO mavs are only supposed to take a few seconds to do so. Waited minutes with the weapon selected, nothing seems to happen. Am I missing something? Works fine when I air start, but not when I cold start.

Black only video was mentioned somewhere else, needed a reinstall to fix. Other then that try to not point the Flight Path Marker (VVM) at the sky...since the seekers are slaved to it initially. I also have trouble when I don´t air start with mavericks that they just never leave STBY mode...they never go RDY. Oh and 1000 feet is pretty low for Rockeyes...they dispense after a certain fixed time after dropping. Try dropping from a higher altitude.

Then I´ll rely on buddy lasing for the time being, good to know I´m not too stupid :smartass: Really liking it so far.

No issue on my end. Check procedure again. Also, "Launch Flare Salvo" has a shortcut you can bínd...

It´s just text? I´m not exactly sure what you are asking for here...do you want your text to be blue and purple and red at the same time? I´m sure the moving map will be in color once implemented, the A-10Cs screens are also in color yet noone seemed to complain they only use green for text and B/W for video. Sorry if I am comming off condecendingly, no offence, genuinely puzzled.

Anybody figured out how to lase yet? I armed the laser, had it fire on LASR and all the other modes and every time I released GBUs they just never tracked. Either I´m doing something wrong (the documentation isn´t updated to TGP operation yet, or it just doesn´t work yet. But I´d like to know if I have to wait or how to fix my mistake XD

Don´t forget that after service with the east german airforce, it briefly served with the WEST german airforce, and they updated the avionics to NATO specs...so a old school MiG-29G might not have had a partially english cockpit before the wall fell...but that´s just speculation on my part.

Who has seen this missile? It was last seen on Tuesday before a recent ED patch and is now missing entirely. It is heatseeking and might have followed a random stranger. It is very cuddly and will try to pursue you if you approach within it´s envelope but be warned, it could explode violently on a moments notice. If you have any information on it´s current whereabouts, please, leave information in this thread. Thank you.

Guys, the true flightmodel ranking should look like this. PFM - AFM+ - - AFM - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - SFM Don´t be too scared because it is "only AFM", first of all, the SU-25T is AFM+, the SU-25 and A-10A are AFM, and I hear no complaints about their respective flight models. AFM might be easier to work with, reducing the much dreaded "flight model bugs" that plague so many people with, for example, the Mirage, who then complain endlessly that tiny (or huge) details are off. The PFM F-15C, Su-27 and new SU-33 have however all recieved criticism regarding their flight model accuracy, and I have personally witnessed these birds doing stuff that is just improbable... And it doesn´t stop them from pushing a more advanced flight model later, but with solid ground work done. We witnessed the flight model testing and development, it looked to take into account lot´s of factors.

Auf der einen Seite weinen alle rum(nicht speziell dieser Thread) das die Entwicklung von modernen Kampfjets, mit ner Hand voll Typen die alle was anderes können, so lange dauert und dann sagt der Entwickler "Gut, machen wir nen Deal, du kriegst das Teil früher, freiwillig, und darfst beim Entwickeln und Bugfixen helfen.". Und auf der anderen Seite weinen dann alle rum, das nichts fertig wird und sie mit verbuggten Machinen fliegen müssen. Man kann diese Community nicht ruhig stellen, kann man einfach nicht. Und wenn man dann natürlich noch wagt, für alles ausser Flugzeuge Geld zu verlangen, egal wie viel Arbeit das ist oder war, dann ist man natürlich gleich der Satan. Wenn jedes "buggie" Flugzeug noch nicht released worden wäre bis es 100% "fertig" ist, hätten wir gar keine Flieger<.< Mein Lieblingsbeispiel ist immer wieder die A-10C, mit ihren ganzen unrealistischen Systemen und Funktionen, wird aber natürlich als das beste DCS Modul von allen hochgehalten...aber wehe die MiG-21 erlaubt unrealistische HUD funktionen oder Waffen, dann ist Polen offen.

And before anyone complains, no, 8x PCIe 3.0 does not slow down any current grafics card. They just don´t use all that bandwidth.

People should use the wheelbreak start to Spool up the Engines aswell.

You expected wrongly. The toe breaks are even independently controled from the wheelbreak start which is a flip lever on the stick and not controlled by the pedals. It is indeed to prevent excessive force on the wheels during normal taxiing.

As many have said, SU-27SM...completely different Radar, might have completely different hard and software attached to it, so no point comparing it.

So, since we got the updated SU-33 now with some expanded arsenal, what about this nugget: I have seen screenshots of the dual rocket rails model in DCS, but I don´t think it was ever put in. Now was this ever fielded operationally or is this just something overlooked because it isn´t really important? Will we ever see it in DCS?

Without wingtanks I envision everyone to either carry 4 Mavs, 2 Mavs and 4 GBU-12 or 8 GBU-12 as a standard CAS loadout. However, I´d be more interested in doing mixxed SEAD/CAP missions, Strike missions and suprise attacks with SLAM-ER. The amount of time I´d just do CAS is probably minimal. And yes, you can probably stay in the AO for a long time if you fly fuel efficient. Most targets are not super far away in most missions.

Well, not really a good comparison, but 3440x1440p uses only 6.3GB of Vram on medium-high settings in 2.0 on my 1080 Ti... But it uses 10 Gigs of system RAM at the same time... But the 1080 Ti in general is better at driving anything in 4K, it´s not just the VRAM, it´s got the faster core, too.

Shift+W is the one. It´s not an axis, it´s a button (lever actually on the stick), Pilots hold it down manually and it´s got nothing to do with the normal toe breaks.
