Oh yeah....I forgot about that second airfield. Imma go reconnoiter it tonight.

Blue flies out of Krasnodar.

Heading out to cause some damage. I love shooting up the weapons factory....those big ol' fuel tanks go up in flames so spectacularly. And then back to base. Set the helo down right where I started from.

So I head out of Blue FOB for a safehouse pilot pickup. Some of those generic pilots that always seem to find themselves stranded. On the way, a notice flashes up that a flyer has just crashed and needs rescue. I recalled from my kneeboard (F10 map) that he had been flying in my vicinity. I check, and lo and behold, he was only 6 km away. I immediately turned onto his heading and went to pick him up. I recalled that earlier in the day, a Shilka had made mince meat of my helo when I stumbled across his position near the currently downed pilot. I assumed it might have been the same AA unit. I noticed in chat the pilot's partner being credited with destroying an AA unit soon after he crashed. I thought, "ah ha!", I can get in and out without problems. I popped over a rise and saw green smoke about 4 kms away. I started an approach to make the pickup. What's that? Fireworks? No! Damn....it's tracers! Just past the downed pilot was a Shilka spraying flaming globs of death at me. Several jinks to the left and jinks to the right later, I finally got the helo low and in a low spot between hills where the gun could not fire on me. I circled around, planning to set down just out of gun range and trying to get some CAS via chat. About a meter from having the skids on the ground, BLAM BLAM, an AI F-5 blew me up. It was still fun.

Are you playing the same "Open Conflict" I am? I don't think imposters are on. If they are, I really need to see the optometrist.

You can do something to fix this....send mirknir some money.

This. I've been wondering how much fun it would be to chase off helicopters in an L-39.
-
I finally found that artillery base. Who puts an artillery base in the very bottom of a valley? I orbited round and round scanning the tops of those hills. Finally noticed some specks waaaaayyy down there. Whatever...... It's challenging to attack in an L-39 with rockets only. I think I'll give it a shot with a load of Jupiters next time.
-
The L39 can turn completely 180 deg within most of the valleys in the mountains.
-
Is it me or is the Valley Artillery Base really hard to find?
-
Shoot 'em up... Edit: Deleted stupid question.

Your throughput numbers should be expressed as "megabits". Also, testing your own network capacity and speed is a good start, but might not reflect the quality of the connection to the server, or other participants.

What's your ground objective in the second image?

It seems like you may not be real up on the history of this product. The FC3 aircraft are the earliest iterations of it; they were basically the very first product. And they came from an era when graphics and PC capabilities were far behind what's considered common today. So, the "purpose" of the FC3 aircraft is pretty straightforward; that's what Eagle Dynamics latest and greatest was at one time.

Maaaaannnnn.......that's the slowest I've ever seen a dude jump out of a helicopter dude!

The speed dial tops out at 150 knots, but there is some space between that and zero that may be usable?

Because it's like playing Risk™ with someone who realizes your a turn away from winning and their response is to tip the board and walk away. It's just bad sport.

You need to finish your thought at Step 7, item 2. -

Oh yeah...the sunrise was cool as hell.

I have so much fun on this server. Seriously, give mirknir money. Next payday, I'm donating again. I've been working on my landings and I'm getting much more comfortable with it..... Damn near stuck it on the smoke. In fact, I thought I was right on top of it. Didn't realized I had missed it a bit until the F2 view.

No. The plane will not show up until someone is sitting in the cockpit. You can place static aircraft that will sit around and look pretty.
-
You need to release much later than the standard bomb. I usually let them go just as the target is disappearing under the plane's nose. And I'm usually in a slightly shallower dive than the standard bombs. I like letting all of them train off on a convoy or other soft targets.

The last time I tried to hold the TAB key to hide chat, it did nothing. It worked on a session previous to that. When I held the TAB, it looked like it was flickering between the read-only view and the edit view. OP, which server were you on?
