Oh man... can I have my old F-5E back with all the cool custom skins that were created for it? The "remastered" F-5 doesn't have any improvements simulation-wise. And no, I wasn't expecting any new radios or four Sidewinders or an effing refueling probe or MFDs, just a fix of the wings snapping or a a less nose-heavy take-off and landing or an old HGU-2 helmet would have been cool... I don't really need the new looks of the remastered one if I lose all the cool skins from the past.

Am 30. November 2024 hat die 1./JG71 "Richthofen" erstmals an einem externen Event teilgenommen bei der staffelübergreifenden Übung "Reforger 2411". Mit vier weiteren internationalen Staffeln sowie den ATCs und tactical controllers der "Digital Controllers" hatten wir im Rahmen einer komplexen ATO eine SA-2 site mit BL755 zu bekämpfen. Im Rahmen der mission waren komplexe Flugverfahren, Sprechfunkverkehr und eine "time over target (ToT)" sowie simulierte gegnerische MiG-21, MiG-23, MiG-25 und die SA-2 und AAA als threats zu bewältigen. Durch mehrfaches air-to-air-refueling wurde das ganze noch abgerundet. Wir können stolz berichten, dass wir (als einziger flight) unsere ToT nahezu sekundengenau eingehalten und das Ziel vernichtet haben und ohne Verluste wieder nach Hause gekommen sind. Als weitere Premiere: Wir sind nach Abschluss unseres simulierten B-Course auf der Nellis AFB zum ersten Mal mit Luftwaffenmaschinen mit dem Wappen des JG 71 "Richthofen" geflogen, wie die nachfolgenden Screenshots zeigen. You can fly it on Blue Flag 60. There are MiG-21s, but I don't think the Sabres are very disadvantaged there. Both fighters have their advantages and disadvantages, and I usually felt quite confident in the Sabre there.

I experience this bug a lot in the cockpit.

At least fix the long-standing multiplayer ATC bug so we can have night missions again on Caucasus. Thank you.

The ground checks. There is a crew chief order that is called "cancel". Crew chief will answer "Roger, waiting."

I guess most people here voicing their desire for a good up-to-date MiG 21 would happily pay full price for a completely new MiG-21 2.0. The problem isn't that, it's that M3 seem to lack the manpower to provide it in a reasonable time frame. I also doubt that M3 has a monopoly on a MiG-21 in general, it's just that no other dev team is interested in doing one. Unless there isn't a new dev team emerging with a MiG-21 as their project, we're stuck with what we have right now. One could hope for the MiG-17 devs to take up a MiG-21 later, but they have yet to deliver their long announced -17 and prove that they know how to make a DCS module.

Singleplayer or multiplayer? MP has been bugged for months now and has not been fixed so far.

I found that if I „cancel“ after the flight control checks, then raise flaps, the Chief reports flaps up instantly. The following ARI disconnect check then works as it should. I think you only move controls through both rolls extremes and are supposed to get one „No movement“ for that, correct?

I would be careful with larger hitboxes. I already popped my braking chute on two occasions when I just wanted to switch the right Stab Aug switch. Great fun for everyone around when you are in the EOR as part of a four-ship in multiplayer, ready to launch.

Maybe as an option, as only the German Navy 104s had these in their very last years of operation.

Well, to be fair, not having RSBN/PRMG on other maps than Caucasus might actually be realistic, because the system was only installed in WP countries to my best knowledge. Not being able to reprogram the ARC receiver is a more serious thing, because NDB navigation certainly was and is a thing in countries like Egypt or Syria.

Another absolutely valid, because simple and quality-of-life-improving request. This deserves a "noted" tag and will hopefully find its way into DCS soon.

Well said. Allow me to quote myself when I say, with all its imperfections this MiG-21bis is the best MiG-21 we currently have in DCS. Fly it and enjoy it until there is a better one available, that's all we can do. Estimated 80-90% of all DCS players do not care about real procedures and realism anyway - or more precisely they raise hell when the dingdong switch is not simulated correctly, but then do autostarts on the usual MP servers and take-off on the ramp and taxiway; for that crowd the MiG-21bis is perfect as it is anyway.

In combination with a good mission planner THE ONE feature I desperately miss in DCS.

I tried the ATGM training mission that has the Hind in an active pause, and I assume the distance was once chosen so that Petro would be able to find targets, but in the training mission he didn't aquire one single target... I guess that training mission pretty much shows what so many people have been complaining about, ED.

Wir suchen auch weiterhin Verstärkung von DCS-Piloten, die Spaß an realistischen Prozeduren (von Flugplanung über Briefings bis hin zu Flugdurchführung, teilweise mit "menschgemachtem ATC") haben und mit uns Übungsflugbetrieb auf der F-4 simulieren möchten. Ein Einstieg ist bei uns (mit entsprechendem Kenntnisstand, siehe ersten Beitrag in diesem Thread) jederzeit möglich.

Came across this bug during my last two attempts at loft bombing, plus when I approached Nellis with Jester activated frames suddenly became extremely bad. Once I deactived Jester frames were back to normal. Felt like Jester was "clogging the system", if I may call it like that. Track would be available but due to the problems above (+it is a very long track) uploading it wouldn't help I guess.

Yes, WIP screenshots from the cockpit show F-104G I think. A very welcome (and expected tbh) decision for that variant.
