  1. I couldn't end watching the video...because the tears disturbed my vision! THANKS!!!!
  2. Is it possible to edit the green color of the instruments lights in the cockpit (I mean for the F1 camera)?, if so, where are files/textures to do so...I cant figure it out... thanks!!
  3. Ok, thanks for the info dude!!...I HIGHLY recommend you to use Nyogel 767a as lube...you will never EVER have any stickiness anymore
  4. Ok, just ordered a couple of rings to Hempstead!!, hope to get them asap...thanks a lot Hempstead!!:) After just a few days the rings arrived perfectly!!, thanks a lot for your great suport Hempstead, they are great!!
  5. Ok, just ordered a couple of rings to Hempstead, great man btw as he just wants to help the community with his work so I really appreciate the effort!!...meanwhile Im curious about how the stick "feels" with the teflon ring of Hempstead, I mean, I like how hte rubber ring feels so I wonder how/how much the stick changes when using these PTFE rings...Im a bit worried about the center sensibility (I want the stick to be very smooth and easy to move near the center) as the PTFE is not as elastic as rubber (if elastic at all)...what are your thoughts about this?... thanks!!
  6. Ok, after trying a repair looks like its working fine, I didnt had any modded files...maybe something was wrong since the few last patches that messed with the controls...anyway, its fine now :) thanks guys!!
  7. ok thanks to both!...after a few minutes testing it doesnt feel right without the ring (the center spot is too rough) so I have decided to glue the crack and paste it again to the metal as the rest is in perfect shape...also glued the whole ring surface in the face glued to the metal...I hope with the new ultra strong glue the ring can stay in place and with the nyogel lubing it the the wear should be controled...anyway I will try to get one of these teflon rings just in case but meanwhile hope the fix can hold its own...
  8. could you elaborate please?, in my case I the empty squares under my HOTAS categories are not selectable to be used with this control knob so nothing happens when I try to assing a HOTAS key to it...however the keyboard works so I guess something is not right about these keys... thanks!
  9. Hi guys, just noticed a weird feeling a few days back in my stick so I dissasembled it again (I greased it a couple of years ago with Niogel 767) and noticed that one rubber pad was loosen and the rubber ring has a crack and was also loosen...I used contact glue to put the rubber pad again in its place but decided to run the stick without the rubber ring using a bit of nyogel around the place it was setled...the question is, is there any risk when using the stick without the ring?, it feels good though I can feel some graininess sometimes, guess the metal frictioning with the plastic so not sure if its a goos idea to run it like that... also I could use glues to fix the crack and put the ring again with good contact glue but remember someone made some nice teflon ones so dont know what to do: 1-run the stick without the ring 2-put the fixed one in again 3-Buy the teflon one (not sure if available to ship to Spain?) Thanks!!
  10. The recent implementation of key assignments for the JHMCS control knob seems buggy as I cant make any stick/throttle binding to them except for my keyboard so I guess its not working fine. bye!
  11. It happens to me when in certain places in Caucasus though not sure if it's something elese...when near kutaisi, there is a spot that seems to cause that drop, when I fly in a different place its gone...
  12. +1, also experience this...in the first hornet versions it didnt work like that...now if you deploy the probe and then push the button to retract while halting the deplyment the probe just get stuck in the actual position...it should fully retract afaik...
  13. +1, most of us dont own proper hardware to make it work as in real life so...
  14. Yeah, amen to both...hope some day we get the shadows on the ground, that would make a great difference in explosions.
  15. this is still being an issue...any info about if its aknowledged please?
  16. Well, I meant I made a "fast & dirty" test just to see how it would look adding a bit more of detail but I just touched a few things so not a "cockpit cosmetic mod" by any means...the latest update changed many of these textures so, as you are interested, I decided to re-do the work with a better quality...again, this is not a real cockpit mod nor is a finished thing but I dont have much time lately so Im afraid I cant do more in a while. As its not a proper mod I have upload it in an external server as I dont think its worth a new thread for it. Hope you like it: Things I made: -Fixed HUD projector "corruption", baked reflections and adjusted glass material -Added glass material for the HUD -Removed (most) of the baked reflections of the hud** -Added weathering details to the "thing" below the HUD (sorry dont know its name :P) -Several texture/material changes for the presentation screen **For some reason, in the last patch textures, it seems like the HUD still having a lot of dirt/reflections on it even when I removed it from the textures, not sure why but I couldnt find any texture else with that baked effects so it does not look as good as i would like but I cant do better now, sorry. just drop the files in your "MIG-29-13-CPT-TEXTURES.rar" file. (make a back up first) https://we.tl/t-MWmUVfwMxu not sure mate, probably not, as it looks like there is not 3D model (mesh) for them but I might be wrong... bye mates!
  17. good work!!, my kingdom for a new B1 3d model...
  18. Well, of course removing pre-baked effects (reflections, shadows) is a good thing...the problem is that since doing so, as soon as some parts are illuminated by indirect light (which will prevent the pseudo-dynamic AO to show) there is no shadowing at all...this wont be the case in real life and thus thats why it looks odd some times...since the last update it looks a bit better (its a bit darker in some parts) but the canopy frame still look odd with the indirect light...that said, it looks very good in general just it seems to me like a WiP not yet done as some parts (like the dashboard) look worse than before as there is no any material nor diffuse detail/weathering on it which there was before so I guess its not yet finished. Also, things like the hud have margin of improvement...I made a quick mod to remove most of the pre-baked reflections on it and added a roughmet to make glass material and it looks way better...also the hud projector has glass material, which is nice as not even the hornet has it however, it looks like the black level used in PS for it is crushed and it doesnt work properly and looks bad/corrupted (also corrected this myself and now works fine so Im right about the issue)...things like that should be a standar now imho so hope they improve it further.
  19. I had similar issue...they looked corrupted in my PS...but never solved it...thanks for solving it!
  20. Ok, thanks for the info mate, sadly it doesnt seem to work for me. I dont like to use any kind of curve for my axis, at the end of the day what you improve in some places you worsen in others so I go all the way linear. I think you have a point on this...as soon as the slats deploy the extreme pitch up behaviour takes place...looking at some real life videos that behaviour doesnt seem to happen when the slats are deployed: to me, it looks like there is not a sudden pitch up when hte slats are extended in this video (and others)
  21. this is the less possible haze you can get...In my opinion it is EXTREMELY clear, in fact too much for a "common" day in that place of the world...if you see real life images from the air you will realize that real world is very hazy most of the time and a perfectly clear ambient is the less frequent case. Anyway what makes things look blurry is the way the maps using clipmaps render the far distances, as oposed to caucasus or normandy, which tend to be very blurry too close to the camera. I dont think there is much you can do but as I said there should even be more haze. Bye!
  22. Beautiful work man!!, you put some quality work in your skins, congrats and thanks!! ;)
  23. I might be doing something wrong but mine doesnt seem to baheve like in your videos...why is your stick almost constantly being pulled even when the plane is flying leveled? do you use negative trim or zero trim? I cant see it well in the videos. thanks!
