  1. Sadly no, it doesnt pass IC as I added couple of files that make impossible to create a cockpit "skin"...will try to make a version without them (so loosing few effects) but which should pass IC asap. Thanks!:)
  2. Didnt noticed this in game as far as I can say but definitely that picture shows an incorrect line in the shape. Hope ED confirm these two issues and fix them asap.
  3. Thanks man!:) , btw, originally I also modded the screen's color to a darker blueish tint (some hornets seem to have these DDI's) but fianlly decided to keep the green color as its also realistic. But it looked very nice in darker colors too, thats for sure  Bye mates!!
  4. Great job Revientor, watched all of your videos!, thanks a ton!!...Un abrazo compañero!;)
  5. Yeah, same here, exactly my experience.
  6. Mustang, you made an outstanding job with this mod man!!!, thanks a lot for your effort, really appreciated!!
  7. What can I say...Im soooo happy you guys like my little works!! ...with people like you, its a pleasure for me to contribute as much as my time allows me, and If you guys think things are a bit better then it was totally worth it ;)... @Buckeye, I totally understand your concern about IC mate :(, and if ED doesnt create these textures I will try to upload a new mod without these textures to make it compatible with cockpit "skins" so all of you multiplayer guys interested can fly with the mod online :) Maybe ED will think about creating that effects at some point, lets hope for that...they made a great job, Im sure they will try to make it even better :) Again, thanks a lot for your gorgeous support!!
  8. Another amazing Spanish F-18 display!
  9. What title says, it looks like since the few last patches a little bug, I assume in the cockpit 3d mesh, is present in the left DDI. Image: thanks!
  10. Hi guys, the Hornet has a great cockpit and ED/BS made an amazing job bringing us this beast of a fighter aircraft. Just something I didnt liked much is the roughness of many surfaces that according to videos/photos of real life seem a bit overdone so I decided to make a mod removing as much a possible of that roughness from these parts (not all of the roughnes is removed as some is fine)...However, I couldnt resist to add some "extras" :D and I ended up with some more modifications I hope you like... so the mod features are: -Removed most of the rugosity for parts that shouldn't have it from the bump maps so they have a smoother surface. -Hud and projector glass material with reflective effect. -Analog gauges and AVTR cameras glass material. -Removed canopy reflections and added glass material instead. -Removed pre-baked DDI reflections. -Improved DDI's and AMPCD material and weathering. -Cleaned Hud dashboard both color and material. -Adjusted materials for some parts. -Added realistic dust effect over dashboard, arround screws and some other parts (based on pics and videos). -Added some material weathering over most visible parts. v2.0: -Added detailed weathering for the gauges' glass surface. -Added weathering to canopy frame handles and wires (and material). -Improved AVTR cameras glass coating. -Slightly increased reflectivity of the canopy glass. -Added very subtle glossy effect for the canopy edges. -MP IC pass version included (some glass effect wont be available when using this version like gauges, hud and canopy). v2.1: -Added weathering effect to the canopy glass material. Install using JSGME. Inside the rar file there are 2 folders containing the Single player (SP) version and the Multi player version (MP). You can install only one of them of your chose or both versions at the same time, however, if you want to play online (pass IC check) you must to not install/UNINSTALL the "SP" version, then inside DCS sel ect the "Watermanpc" cockpit skin fr om the special Hornet cockpit tab menu. v2.2: -Fixed DDI's missing textures since last update -Added detailed weathering effects to DDI's and MPCD displays Link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3301806/ A general picture: Few comparative pictures (some of the effects are not very noticeable in still images like the Hud, gauges, bump map, DDI's or canopy glass): *Note: In order to make Hud and gauges to behave like glass, I had to create a couple of files (RoughMets) that dont exist in the original cockpit texture rar file. After asking Skatezilla, it looks like its not possible to create a cockpit "skin" with files that are not originally in the rar file so this has 2 effects: 1-I cant make a selectable cockpit skin from the Hornet cockpit menu in DCS and 2-This mod doesnt pass IC check :(. Please ED! include Roughmets maps for "f18c_cpt-glass_hud.dds" and "f18c_cpt-glass_refl.dds" so we have glass material for these elements, it woudl greatly improve cockpit inmersion by making them react accordingly to their material to the environement...also, Hud projector and AVTR cameras could easily reflect the environement so it would be nice to have these improvements officialy. **Note 2: IC friendly version included in v 2.0 (loosing some effects). thanks a lot and hope you guys enjoy the mod!!
  11. Ok skate!, thanks a lot for your help :), hope ED can add these files in the future to make glass material. Bye!
  12. Thinking again about what you posted Skate I have the feeling that maybe you meant that roughmets maps wont work "at all"...thats not what I meant...the roughmets are working fine but only when loaded from the original cockpit texture rar file (dropping them into this rar file)... what I want is to be able to create a "skin" for the cockpit inside the liveries subfolder of the cockpit folder...the problem is that doing so, and even after calling the roughmets with the arguments aforementioned, these 2 files (roughmets) wont work for my cockpit "skin". Hope its clearer now... thanks!
  13. Oh man, I suspected that, so no way to make them work I guess :( ...hope ED to add these as they are important to get reflections on HUD and hud projector among other things. Thanks Skate!
  14. Hi guys, not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but here I go...I made a texture mod for the cockpit (I mean the internal cockpit, not the external one) and created 2 new roughmets that are non existent in the official textures rar of the hornet...I want to make my cockpit selectable from the DCS cockpit menu so I want to create a cockpit "skin"...everything works except the 2 new roughmets I created for these 2 textures: -f18c_cpt-glass_hud.dds--->f18c_cpt-glass_hud_RoughMet.dds -f18c_cpt-glass_refl.dds---->f18c_cpt-glass_refl_RoughMet.dds I added the following lines to the description.lua in order to make DCS to load them: {"f18c_cpt-glass_full", 0, "f18c_cpt-glass_refl", false}; {"f18c_cpt-hudl", 0, "f18c_cpt-glass_refl", false}; {"f18c_cpt-glass_full", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC , "f18c_cpt-glass_refl_RoughMet", false}; {"f18c_cpt-hudl", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC , "f18c_cpt-glass_refl_RoughMet", false}; {"f18c_cpt-glass_hud_edge", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC , "f18c_cpt-glass_hud_RoughMet", false}; However, DCS doesnt load the new created roughmets once in game...anyone knows why?, maybe there are some more arguments missing I need to call? thanks!!
  15. +1, happens in every map...you should post this in the general 2.5 bug section.
  16. Just wanted to post this issue with the terrain in the Nevada map (dont own the Persian Gulf map so not sure if the issue is also present there)...its been in Nevada since quite a long time, Im surprised no one posted this before so I decided to post it finally. Here are some screens of what it looks like: It reminds me the tech called SSS (Sub-Surface-Scattering) and obviously there shouldnt be any SSS on the mountains. If I remember correctly, this started happening after a few patches since the 2.5 release but it didnt happed in the first s 2.5 versions. Hope it can be addresed asap. thanks!
  17. Also sometimes, when the aircraft sustain an inverted position there is a little fuel leak verted from the vertical stabs (sometimes), it would be cool to have this also if possible.
  18. +1 on this...tried a extremely low pass over the runway and suddenly a strong downwards force appeared making me crash ...I applied full back stick and even that wasnt enough to scape from it.
  19. +1, also the visuals could be better as the spray is way too big and long...as an example:
  20. Even with high drag bombs at very high speed at very shallow dive angles close to the ground the impact cross doesnt appear and I get the break cross constantly...will try to upload a track later.
  21. You are right, I tried some mk-82 SE in Normandy and had the same issue...however the no drag ones seem to work properly (in Normandy)...odd.
  22. Thanks God!, I was starting to think I was crazy!! YEAH!, I cant bomb in CCIP anymore, no matter the speed and/or angle nor the drag/no drag used... the impact cross only appears when Im about to crash with the ground and the big break cross appears extremely high, its impossible to use CCIP now.:( EDIT:It seems to happen in the Caucasus map only...it looks like the terrain elevation doesn't match with what the plane CCIP system is reading or something like that...
  23. Sure, I know, thats why I said "also"...both behaviour and visuals need work. The humidity parameter will improve "when" and "how much" effect must be rendered but I think some more refinement would be needed at certain moments like when the plane performs the high AoA pass where is very common to see some specific vapor vortex on the lerx visually different from the vapour at higher speeds/g's and I think some specific behaviour would be needed for these moments too.
