  1. +1 on this!
  2. something is wrong with the download...it stays forever with a quite high cpu usage for 73mb "aplying deltas"...had to force to close the updater after almost 30 minutes (twice)...wth?¿?¿?
  3. Ok, thanks, hope you are right and there is a lot of weathering where it should.
  4. Once you have done de work, why not just giving an option to choose between more/less weathering so all people will be happy...I think the HB F-14 looks so good in fact because it looks properly weathered as oposed to the rest of the modules so "de-weathering" doesnt seem a good idea to me. Looking at used F-14 cockpits (pretty much all of them living in the sea) show how weathered they are so not sure why are they trying to remove part of that.
  5. None of these bugs have been yet fixed...not sure what "Fixed bug with incorrect fog covering and ground explosion effect." from the last patch means but ALL the bugs aforementioned are still there after this patch so please fix themn asap. thanks!
  6. "TDC press for slew" option missing?? Hi, although TDC slew with the warthog has been improved, it still being impossible for me to correctly use the tdc slew while pressing the nipple button at the same time with the Mavs...its better than before but still unusable. Testing this key combination in the "device analyzer" proves that as soon as I move the mini-stick to anywhere beyond mid way from the extremes of the exes, the pressing stops working no matter how hard I press de button :( ...but even if that weren't the case, the mini-stick is soooo sensitive (even adjusting the curves) that having any meaningful control over it while pressing is just utopic. Its already difficult to use by itself so increasing the difficulty any more by having to press at the same time the nipple isnt a good idea even if its how it works in the real life. So I wonder if we are going to have that option, I really hope so, but since no info was given in the last patch I would like to have some insight about it and if it is still planed. thanks!!
  7....From my first post: "...of course, not a complain nor anything like that..."...why cant I ask whatever I feel the need to ask with respect?, am I being rude?, Are you in charge to discern what can be asked and what cant?,Do you know how many time will the AB be in my screen? Btw, would knowing the exact exposition values change anything?¿?¿?do you know that cameras dynamic range and exposition values are relative right??... The intention of my post was just to point out these little things that at first I though could be WiP but after several info updates and videos I started to wonder if that would be the final look of both AB FX and wing flex, nothing more, nothing less... I know you are doing an outstanding work with the Tomcat and are looking for the perfection so I think this things do matter for you as much as for me and others...Im glad you guys are the ones doing it so thanks for your work!. About the dynamic range thing, I dont think it has anything to do with that, I mean, the goal should be making it look as close as possible to how the naked eye would in real life and after watching many afterburners in real life Im quite sure the one in the tomcat would look way "brighter" than that, and Im not talking about how that light would be translated into real life's light through your monitor, which would be a capability of the monitor itself (HDR tech was created to improve this), but how to transport that "exposure balance" to a SDR image. According to real life experience and well balanced pictures (even at noon), looks like the Tomcat afterburners should have more "fire" inside and thus a brighter look imho. If it is still a work in progress thing then its ok, hope to see a better AB effect for the release. thanks for your time!
  8. I dont think the AMOUNT of wing flex has anything to do with being recorded form a multiplayer side...the AB effect maybe as I remember HB said you need the module to have full AB effects.
  9. Really???:( ...so these weren't actual in-game sounds right?
  10. Looking at last videos and screens I wonder if these 2 things are yet WiP or pretty much finished: -Wings Flex: Being the Tomcat, I expected to see a hell of a lot of flex in its wings (even when fully retracted), as I dont think there is any other fighter aircraft with bigger wing flexion out there due to its long, thin wings and weight (even at low speed). Watching the display video yesterday, I noticed there was "some" flex but way less than there should be according to real life footage in the same maneuvers: Watching the videos in movement is even much more noticeable. It's kind of what happen with the Hornet, the flex seems to only affect the external portion of the wings instead of the whole wing right to the insertion with the body, something like this: 1 is what DCS looks like, 2 is what it should be. As said before, all planes in DCS with wing flex seem to have the same issue so I hoped for the Tomcat to have full wings flex so I wonder if this is still being worked. Video to watch the insane wing flex: -Afterburner FX: From Heatblur images and videos I noticed that the afterburner FX in the Tomcat seems to be too weak, I mean, its like its not working at full power as the color and amount of combustion reminds me to a mid-afterburner state instead of full power afterburner...according to real life images, there should be much more "fire" inside the burners when at full power: I know the exposure of the camera would change how the burners look in photos, but overall, the burners should clearly have much more "light" and fire inside imho. So, these are just a couple of things Im curious about after watching some footage of the module, of course, not a complain nor anything like that, but wanted to point them out in case they can be improved for the release. thanks for your outstanding work!!:)
  11. +1. I thinks its spot on for a mid-weathering plane.
  12. I also have this issue and it has been mentioned several times in the forums...I dont think it might be a problem with your monitor.
  13. +1000, even if realistic, it's impossible to do with our cheap hardware.
  14. Air friction as pressure increases with altitude drop i guess.
  15. DCS MiG-15bis Cockpit 3D model bugfix. Fixed an external textures z-fighting. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:surprise: I just can't believe it...since 07-05-2017!
  16. Some times I wonder if you guys have super powers...you simply EXCEL in everything you do!!
  17. No, up/down is not working and right/left is very laggy/stuttery...full head motion in MP would be GREAT!
  18. Sorry man!, just noticed your post now ...I agree with you about flying as much detailed skins as possible!:)...I also agree about the panel lines, Im one of the guys who like giving them some density :D, it gives some extra detail but as you said is not very realistic in some places (wings and speedbrake zones, however, can be very visible depending on the weathering amount)...To me, one of the most important factors to make a realistic skin is making customized RoughMets maps!!, because thats how you make the plane's material to actually represent what the paint/weathering it showing. Otherwise the eye sees a mismatch between the paint/weathering and how the material is reacting to the light/environement. Now Im realizing that a good way to give detail while at the same time making realistic panel lines is to add some slight "details" layer to the red channel of the roughmet maps so they are more visible only when they are in the shadows, it works quite well ;). Thanks for your words about the m2000 sounds (although right now it doesnt sounds well due to the numerous changes they made to sounds and my lack of time to keep the mod updated :() Thanks for your great work mate!, you made some really fine work in your skins
  19. I think its clear at the start of the video that its just a fun video, with the goal of helping people victims of the hurricane...Mover has zero experience using dcs nor probably pc gaming stuff like trackir so I can understand why the video is more fun oriented. I hope Mover gives dcs an opportunity and takes his time checking how close it is to the real thing so we can have some "in depth" (or as much depth as possible) videos sharing his impressions...
  20. Great to know, many thanks!! Keep up the great work and please, do more DCS Hornet videos if you can.:)
  21. May I ask why?,the specific reason I mean, Im curious. thanks!, and thanks for your great videos!!:)
  22. It was said there were some issues with it. Also they promised a "no pylons" FM iirc.
  23. Also, is me the only one having issues with the warthog mini stick for the mavs?, once the camera starts moving diagonally it wont respond to any other direction no matter how hard I push the mini stick ...also, the diagonal response seems MUCH more prone that pure axis response...odd.
