  1. Sorry if I missed this here, but I am a bit confused about the controls for AP. Several of them are controlled by the NWS button, but they don't work. The manual says this about AP: And then, for the NWS on the Stick it says: But when I press the NWS button on the stick, or the N Keycommand, no switches move. Is this functional in the OB yet?
  2. I was on my Android phone looking for F-14 skins in the User Files section, but there was no Search Bar to make a search. So, I got on my computer and check this out. And the Search Bar completely disappears if the browser is resized to a smaller size. I assume that is what happens on the Chrome Browser on my Android. The screen is narrow and the website doesn't move the Search bar, it just hides it. Also, I tried to Filter for the F-14 and Mig-19 Modules and they are not there. Can you add those modules to the Unit list? Thanks
  3. Thanks guys, I'll check that out. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk
  4. Like the title says... I just took the Nav tutorial and couldn't find where it showed the pilot the distance to the current waypoint..
  5. I made an audio AB detent mod, if that is useful to you? It works on my x55 Throttle. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=236024
  6. THROTTLE AFTERBURNER DETENT SOUND: So, my x55 throttle never had any detents. I've looked into making some hack to make a detent, but didn't like what I found. So, the other day I thought of another way.. I made an Afterburner Detent sound. Actually, the sound goes off when I am at Full Military power (100%). I am testing this on the F/A-18 and it is working well. Assign your Throttle Axis in the game WITHOUT the Saitek Profile Assigned. (With the Button Bands on the Throttle in the profile, DCS will not recognize your Throttle Axis. So assign you axis first.) Make Bands on your Throttle in the Saitek Profiler for your x55/x56 Throttle. Make a New Advanced Command in the Throttle Afterburner Band. I used LCtrl+LAlt+\. Put these keys in the 'Press' (top) section of the Advanced Command and check the 'Macro' checkbox. Also, make sure your keypress are short. See my example. Run the attached AutoHotkey command to play the sound. Just download and install Autohotkey. Then doubleclick on this .ahk command file. Now it is running and waiting for the keypress to play the sound. Download your profile to your stick. And test that the sound is played when you move your stick over that band in your throttle. And/Or press the hotkeys on your keyboard to test it. If it's working, all you need to do is get in the game and tweak the Throttle's Band position so it aligns with your throttle. I have mine so it plays right when I hit 100%. If I move the throttle a bit further it kicks in the AB. I put this sound just on one of the Throttles since I move them both together. IDLE DETENT BAND HOTKEY. I also made a band for both the Right and Left Throttles to move each throttle into the Idle position on the F14. I just have to move my throttle a little but, the band/button sends the DCS hotkey to move that throttle to it's Idle position. Pretty similar to the above instructions. I think you can figure that out from here.. DCS AutoHotKey AB Sound.rar

    Zoom and the X56

That's been normal for me on the x55 as well for many years. I usually make an axis curve in the game that zooms using the top or bottom half of the axis to avoid using the middle.
  8. I've used this trick for years, and thought I would share. I have an X-55 Throttle. I don't use the stick anymore since I bought a VKB Gunfighter. But the Throttle still works well and with the Saitek Profiler Software it is very functional. Here is an example of using the x55's top Throttle dial to select the different F-14 PDCP Modes(Takeoff, Cruise, A-A, A-G, and Landing)
  9. +Throttle Idle Detent: Key Command I don't see any key command to take the Throttle from Off to Idle. The Hornet has a Key Command for Throttle Idle, and it can be bound to the lower end of the Throttle Axis on my x55 to send the key to take the Throttle to Idle. A small movement on the throttle takes me to Idle on both throttles. This is much more realistic than a mouse click as the only option, that is currently in the F14.
  10. I believe Helios uses network to send commands to DCS, not keyboard keys. So it won't show up in Notepad or Wordpad.. Try downloading the first Export Files on this page. http://www.captzeen.com/helios/downloads.asp It includes a Export.lua and a Helios folder. Put both lua file and Helios folder in your xxx/Saved Games/DCS/Scripts folder.
  11. Aweome!! Found it. 2 jumps to RIO seat, and 1 to the Pilot. Thanks.
  12. Sorry, I thought you just didn't understand what these new F10 commands were.. I have not used this feature.
  13. Is the RIO seat working yet, and if so, how to I enter it?
  14. If a Mission Maker 'adds' his own commands to the Comms Menu's F10 sub-menu, then they will be imported if you have that option selected 'Import F10 menus' within the VAICOM settings. Have you ever flown a mission where someone put some commands in the F10 menu? On some servers I've flown the Huey where they have added F10 commands to load Troops, or load equipment so you can transport it. Then when you land you can Deploy the troops or equipment. You won't see these commands on the F10 menu unless the mission maker added them. ;-)
  15. On the Settings / Controls there is a 'HTML' button that saves controller commands for you to view.. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk
  16. I also am interested in this. I asked about the missing smoke on the Rapier, but got no response. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk
  17. Good Find, and very interesting... Here's a video of the setup that I found.. https://steamcommunity.com/app/844060/discussions/

  20. Yes, it's good for formation practice though. Add a Advanced Waypoint 'Formation'. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk
  21. I just thought we were trying to simulate real life procedures. I understand the jokes and fun. Hopefully when the deck crew gets fully animated someday, this will be fixed. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk
  22. There is a guy who activates the catapult, right? When I am stupid, and forget to unfold my wings, he would see that and not let me launch, right?
  23. It should work in multiplayer. But I don't think users without the mod would be able to join the mission. I wish this and some other mods were just built-in to DCS.
  24. And were you using VAICOM? I made this video and sent it to Hollywood_315. I noticed the Comms menu consistently opens and closes when turning the Battery to ON/ORIDE, or the APU to ON. And it doesn't happen if VloiceAttack/VAICOM is not running. He is interested in looking into this. So, have tested all my aircraft, and out of my 20 clickable aircraft that I own, the Comms menu opens when I spawn into the pit on almost all of them. But, the only aircraft that opens the comms menu with clicking switches is the FA18. So, I wanted to ask here if others flying the FA18 when they see this and are running VAICOM? So, that I can document this better, so he can focus on that aircraft, if that's the problem.
  25. By chance, are all of you guys flying the F/A-18c? Or have you had this problem in other aircraft? If so, is it worse in certain aircraft? Today I noticed that in the F/A-18c, I can constantly open the Comms menu by just pressing the Battery switch and also the APU switch in the cockpit. If you just continue to click them, the Comms menu Opens and Closes constantly. I tested the A10c and AV-8B and did not have this problem with these switches. If you get a chance please test this for me. Thx.
