  1. Hey, Baker. Does UMFCD 3.0 operate with DCS in and out of Full-Screen mode? I find DCS unplayable unless I've alt-entered into full screen. Thanks! PS - Work on an IPad as well?
  2. Oh, do show us some videos of how easy it is. :) And how often does a Tomcat shoot just one Phoenix at you?
  3. In the Hornet, I always flip the switch all the way up to "Bypass" and just hit the 'chaff' or 'flare' button on my HOTAS rapidly depending on what I need. I never make programs. Of course, if you're flying against a Tomkitty with Phoenix... don't even bother bringing countermeasures...
  4. I feel like shadows in general are the Achilles' Heel of DCS FPS/Stuttering performance.
  5. The "new-old" trees look great for me as well. Not sure what's happening for you, Nikola?
  6. Agreed, Streak... As a Hornet and Viper owner, I have ZERO interest in the Mud-hen. F-15C is the greatest pure air to air fighter of all the teens...and a true legend.
  7. Happy Hornet owner here that just purchased the Supercarrier for 24.99.
  8. I also run a Core i7, 32GB RAM and have DCS on a SSD...but I have a 1070 SC with 8gb VRAM. My card runs at 99% - 100% mostly all of the time and has done so for the past year or more of updates. Not sure what's changed that is affecting you.
  9. This is so incredibly simple to do: Assign that MFD OSB button (#5 maybe?) to your HOTAS. Done... I operate radar elevation, azimith, bar scan, range, RWS/TWS switching, etc...all from my HOTAS using this method. For people who cry, "Not realistic!"... Until Thrustmaster provides a 1:1 scale hornet cockpit complete with all switches and knobs for under $999, we have to make compromises. :)
  10. YESSS!!! Thanks for the gift of the good trees back, ED!

    F18 or F16

I have both... but fly the hornet exclusively. It's fantastic!
  12. This is so true. Solve the shadows problem in DCS, and we'd really be off to the races with current hardware!
  13. They are: It's called the Marinas Island Map. New API applied, very little land, mostly water.
  14. I'll get roasted for this, but I'm saying it anyway: :-) I am skeptical of third party aircraft, missiles, etc. in DCS in terms of performance. The F-14 and the Phoenix in DCS seem invincible, over-powered, over-performing, etc. compared to the hundreds of books, videos, documentaries, conversations and the like that I've been reading and watching over the past 25 years. Maybe I'm wrong and the F-14B - Phoenix in game are really accurate, but I'm just skeptical. I think ED does it right and puts in the time with their in house models... 3rd party? I'm not sure. I'm probably wrong... just how I feel.
  15. Well put and good thoughts.

    F-15E?

Not a chance this will be any where close to a release this year. I was honestly hoping that Razbam would drop the Mudhen and that ED would (at some point after new weather, dynamic campaign, etc) pick up the actual, Not-a-pound-for-air-to-ground, F-15 Eagle. :) I can also see Harrier and Mirage guys being a bit curious about where their jets are headed. But what do I know...
  17. Direct M61 rounds to the canopy of an F-14B and no damage (at 17:01:04 of track): InvincibleCatB.trk
  18. I can already see an infantry fall over dead with no blood or gore if I drop a bomb nearby, why not model the same with deck crew if impacted hard by jets? If bumped into, the ubiquitous "hey, what are you doing." Would suffice. :)
  19. Using it for zoom (emulating the mouse wheel) is FANTASTIC. Just go into the HUD software and assign the mouse wheel to the silver wheel. Then, in DCS, it should automatically do your zoom for you. I actually returned my Warthog Throttle to get the X-56 for nearly this feature alone. So much better than the slider on the Warthog or any button assignment when it comes to zoom... especially in a WVR fight.
