  1. If you do have the original "boxed" version of A10C it was no longer supported as of DCS World 1.2 meaning youre stuck at DCS 1.1. Not much has changed with A10 since then until the recently reworked cockpit although the Georgia terrain has been upgraded several times. Are you sure this is what you have? Does it say version 1.1 when you start? If it says version 2.5 when you start you have the current Steam version of DCS World and A10c. If what you mean is whats the difference between Steam or stand alone version of DCS (downloaded here) it comes down to getting your hands on new modules sooner if that interests you.
  2. I dont see squeezing more money out of current customers as the answer to more revenue. Like any other business building your customer base is the better solution. I think MAC was a good idea for bridging the gap from gamer to flight sim. Maybe they could look into a promotion with hardware makers. Logitech, Thrustmaster, or someone who makes a VR headset. Offer a discount or free module with purchase to expose people to DCS and lure them in.
  3. Id eatch the Carrier thread for update. Pre release price normally ends when module becomes available but according to Nineline pre release discount will still be available even after its released.
  4. You might want to hold off. Theres some issue with discounting if F18 was bought on steam originally. Think they're looking for solution.

  6. Hornet owners will get a discount, but only once the carrier module is out of EA. No additional discount "stacked" with pre-release price. They did say pre-release discount would be extended into EA period instead of ending the day it becomes available. For those people on the fence or leary of it not meeting their expectations can sit back and monitor the initial airing of grievances on the forum before buying.
  7. Haven't seen it mentioned so I'm guessing no but is London on the map?
  8. How much room do you have on your drive?
  9. If you have any mods installed disable them and try repair again. Troubleshooter also says error pops up if youre not running DCS as admin . Check that
  10. Have you tried deleting metashaders2 and FXO folders from Saved Games/DCS? Is DCS on anti virus whie list (allowed)?
  11. Did you place one of the AI only F-16s in the mission? As Chaz said in aircraft screen the module would be yellow. Only other thing I can think of is if you were trying to change time of day but changed mission start (when unit is activated) instead.
  12. If you have mods installed disable them. Try a Repair. Delete metashaders2 and FXO folders from Saved Games/DCS folder.

  14. Go to Windows © / Users / your name / Saved Games / DCS / Config / Input / Mig15 Delete or move the Mig15 folder to desktop and restart. This will rebuild Mig15 folder inside Config folder if other is corrupted. Try a Repair DCS for missing joystick.
  15. Master arm on right below ag/aa buttons?
  16. Do you mean ATC not responding? What mission and module are you flying? What are your PCs specs (CPU,GPU,RAM)?
  17. Running DCS as administrator?
  18. Did you set up horizontal/vertical TGP slew for mini joystick under axis assign?
  19. If your preload radius is low having to read off HDD might be causing stutter. Try cranking that up. Using ingame MSAA over 2X or using the other ingame AA with MSAA can also cause stutters.
  20. And a Happy Festivus to one and all.
  21. You have to select "remember me" before logging in.
  22. OK. I didn't want to admit it, but yeah, I only use rudders for taxiing and take-off in a modern jet.
  23. Maybe we don't deserve the Christmas lights. An awful lot of complaining this year.
  24. Looks like pulling out the RAM, cleaning, and reseating did the trick. Thanks, once again, for the help guys!
  25. I've been having minor performance issues, mainly with Normandy map, so with new update was hoping to see improvement but its now just a stutterfest dropping from 40-50FPS to 20-30FPS constantly. By all accounts performance has improved with Normandy so I started looking into CPU.GPU,RAM usage to see whats happening. To my surprise, although I have 16gigs of RAM installed, it seems like only 8gig is working. DCS log, task manager, and system specs all show only 8gig. Does RAM go bad or is there a way to confirm it? Should I try taking it out and reinstalling it or what?:helpsmilie:
