  1. Happy to see they are working on performance with the Vulkan API, but it didn't mention any VR specific updates which was quite dissapointing. Was hoping they would have some people working on VR performance.
  2. to be able to zoom and move the kneeboard with the VR controller.
  3. I use voiceattack in VR and it is awesome, for the F1 - F12 keys i have to say "B1" - "B12" Also works for checking map etc. here some examples of what I use
  4. All my specs are in my sig, I do not feel the need to change my PC yet. When I play VR, my ram is always using around 14gb, Is it still worth it to upgrade it to 32GB? Is there any benefits on performance or stability in VR?
  5. What Nvidia settings do you guys use currently for best results. I fly with MSAA off so what is the best way to get shimmering down?
  6. For the people who do not care about some artifacts when looking around quickly. I mostly fly jets and monitor systems anyway... I fly with 30FPS, i've set WMR at 60Hz in the windows options and forced motionvector on. This way i can increase my graphics settings and be stutter free! Stutters for me are the worst in VR. And flying in 30FPS aint that bad at all, no more stutters! Also works for X-plane ;)
  7. Worked perfectly! Exported to 24bit BMP and used DXTBMP tool to convert to DXT5 with mipmaps. Thanks alot!
  8. Ahh yes, I saw the option and didn't click it :) I'll try it when home tonight! Thanks alot
  9. Hi All, I've converted skins i've made with GIMP to BMP and then to DDS, but when ingame there is much more flicker and shimmer then on the default skins. What am i doing wrong ?
  10. Hi all, I've made a few skins and want to start compressing them to DDS. What is the best way ( converting settings etc ) with GIMP to do it to maintain best quality?
  11. Yes! thats the one! Thanks alot!
  12. As attached to this screenshot I cannot find the "green hinge" and green line as shown here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TRVkAJk2V2tvrp6JtbzBU15sOzqD-vQc/view?usp=sharing Anyone knows where they are located on the template?
  13. I've just started editing skins but i'm due to lack of skills unable to create camo patterns. I would love to create a pattern for all planes like shown below. If people have a base pattern like this ( 2 colors above and 1 color from below ) for the F14,F18,M2000,F5,HARRIER,FC3,A10C,VIGGEN and would like to share it so I could continue creating skins I would be very grateful

  15. Never I will pay for subscription..
  16. It's not an issue, it's just the way it is modeled at the moment and like dburne said : there are other flight sims having it as well, XP11 & IL2
  17. Is there a document available that shows all curves/deadzones and saturation for the HOTAS Warthog for all planes? I've tried to find, but I see most with deadzones but I understand that with the Warthog a deadzone is not recommended?
  18. I think DCS is behind in every aspect ( scenery, clouds, airports, weather, VR ) then any other flight sim. It's just the planes that are awesome.
  19. New application option on SteamVR but i'm not sure what it does. It's different then motion reprojection right ? Cause i clicked it and FPS stayed 90 on beat saber. Anyone could tell me the difference?
  20. Go to control panel -> mixed reality -> headseat display and set input switching to manually
  21. Yes, FOV is reduced a little, but for DCS and X-Plane i can deal with some losses to gain better sharpness and more objects and visibility. I can run PD1.2 with MSAA 2x enabled, 90% trees, visibility on high and maintain a steady 30FPS with no stutter. You will notice the artifacts when looking to the wing more while rolling, but to be honest you dont do it that much. On X-plane i fly with True Earth Orbx, objects on high and antialising and FXAA enabled. No Stutters at all! Love X-plane VR there! You dont notice that much decrease going from 90Hz to 60Hz there On IL-2 it is not ideal at all, there it's better to stay on 90Hz. Still testing there...
  22. All, I've been playing around in VR with multiple games. ( samsung oddeysey + ) DCS, Assetto Corsa, X Plane and IL2 All require a different approach. When you go to Control Panel -> Mixed Reality -> Experience options ( Change ) and set it to 60Hz When setting it to 60Hz you lose some quality but the ingame settings and antialising you can up much more this way! Now go to your: \Steam\steamapps\common\MixedRealityVRDriver\resources\settings folder and open default.cfg. The top should look like this! Make sure you removed the slashes in front to activate it. // Motion reprojection doubles framerate through motion vector extrapolation // motionvector = force application to always run at half framerate with motion vector reprojection // auto = automatically use motion reprojection when the application can not maintain native framerate "motionReprojectionMode" : "motionvector", When setting it to motionvector you lock the frames half of your WMR display. When 90 it goes to 45 and when 60 it goes 30. For DCS and X-Plane im happy enough with 30FPS, there are no stutters and I can activate MSAA and a higher visibility. It takes some time playing what you prefer but its totally worth it. So every game requires a different approach, i made this list for example so I can set them prior to what game i launch. Assetto Corsa Single 90Hz Auto Current settings Assetto Corsa Races. 60Hz Auto Current settings DCS World 60Hz MotionVector Current settings X Plane 60Hz Motionvector Current settings
