This video is what got me started on my simpit: Note that the switches in-game generally won't move (unless they currently do, like the weapons panel switches), but this will give you the ability to use actual switches in realistic locations when flying (including the landing gear lever!) Almost all switches will have to be "momentary". Since the computer will only recognize one keyboard (even though both are connected), you can use whatever switches you have ready and ALSO you can use the regular KB for commands as needed.   7. For those who say it’s “genderizing” to ask for female voice(s), female pilot bodies, etc... Imagine if a company made an incredibly realistic and entertaining flight sim, but all voices and models were female. Would you buy it? Would you go online and fly with others? There’d be no nudity nor unprotective clothing/armor, just female characters. I could see most* men playing it once or twice, but being forced to use female characters would irk your butts, and there’d be a constant call for male bodies and voices. That’s how we feel. And for the “Immaturity? Well, boys will be boys...” Rude and uncivil behaviors should never be excused, except IRL in the trenches while a bayonet attack is going on. *There will always be exceptions.

  11. When using 2.5 (release version), module manager says Normandy and WWII Assets are ready to download, but when I click on it it says "Update 2.5.0.138.31811 is not available". I could download the Assets pack using 1.58, but not the map. Auto update log attached.
  12. Everyone has their own favorite...once in a while one may be tempted by the newest “hottie” that comes along, but at the end of the day you’ll still go to bed with the ol’ lady. Even if she doesn’t have a high AOA and smells of JP-4 during flat spins...

And yet at the time, we were all googoo gaga over the "state of the art"...I remember a very primitive SU27 game about 1998 (possibly one of the first from ED) that my computer couldn't run for more than 10-15 seconds...It must've been based in Flatland, because the majority of the terrain was uber-flat, with pyramidal mountains. BUT...the gauges moooved as the plane flew! Altitude, airspeed, ADI and HSI...whooooaaaa....;)
  14. Ok, I've opened a file to learn skinning. It has one layer, the base layer, and it has the original camo pattern as well as a plethora of details like rivets, grease streaks, etc. I create a new layer on top of the base, and I can trace the panel(s) and begin my pattern, but in doing so I lose the panel details. How do I keep those rivets etc but overwrite the original pattern? This is for learning, not yet for creating new skins to share. ETA: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=159798
  15. :prop:Yup, I’ve noticed that, and it’s been reported by someone. At least the canopy glass doesn’t stay closed when the frame opens anymore... :prop:
  16. I'd hope there'd be a way to tell the ME to give the option to either automatically choose a skin or let the mission designer choose. Scrolling through 100+ liveries after placing an orbiting 737 would become incredibly annoying unless there's a specific airline to use, I'd think.

  18. I’m sure they are just stunned by the beauty, and still joyriding...errr, testing...the skin in all aspects of sunrise and sunset (now if they just had a Mt Fuji/Tokyo map!)

  22. Awesome, thank you! :book: Many of those features (especially the auto tracking after gimbal limits) have been requested by others, that would be a HUGE benefit to pilots! Mainly I'm asking for my making a SU-25T-based cockpit, and was wondering where to put the controls for Shkval system. Laser is on the joystick, lock-on is on the throttle because those were reasonable places to put them, imho. :joystick:
  23. That's what I was hunting for, anything that referenced the controls I mentioned or similar. Parked on the ramp w/TIR copy so I had mucho time. Did a google for any real-world pics but no luck. Lots of really neat cockpit sim efforts though!
  24. I was looking over the in-game cockpit of the SU25T, and haven't been able to find any controls for the Shkval system. I'd think there'd be an on/off, cursor slew, slew size, zoom +/-, maybe a brightness control... I'm using the English cockpit mod, and see nothing of the system but the monitor itself.
