  1. Kinda jars one out of immersion. ("Hey, there's the runway...just gotta put 'er down between them thar phone poles!") Any chance of lowering them to ground level or thereabouts?
  2. I spy, with my little eye, an EA-6B...even if it's just a static object, I'd line the entire ramp with those l'il darlin's! (Close kin to the EF-111A  )
  3. What sort of help? Programming, testing, typing..?
  4. Check out the “home cockpits” forum. https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=101
  5. I’ve seen that, but it wasn’t useful to me. I need complete sentences with good descriptions. Or a YouTube video. :helpsmilie:
  6. Please. I have a shortcut to my desktop, and was able to view one model, but that was after a couple weeks of trying and cannot recall how I made it work. :detective_2:
  7. Yes, if you want it in the mission it'd need to be placed in there. Hmmm....I can see someone modding a Huey to play "Ride of the Valkries."
  8. Would editing an object do it? For example, copy the files of a Jeep, but edit the jeep's image files to show a small box--non-driveable--and then edit the sound files with the desired ambient sounds. Just a random thought.
  9. Very original!
  10. Cool, thank you!
  11. I’ve tried flying manually at 65 meters (200’) and 950 kph (600mph)...in mountains going up and down and in valleys. I’d only do that IRL in auto TFR. That said, either one would be cool!
  12. Haven’t bought FC3 but have bought many of the individual aircraft (F15, SU27, SU33, SU25, A10A), was wondering about the MIG29: Is the only way to get that is to buy FC3?
  13. When you’re first learning, it’s ok to have “invulnerable” on, as well as unlimited fuel, ammo, etc. Also, any object in the sky is either a SAM or another airplane. Tanks are almost always on the ground:

Back in the day, we sat on rocks...and we were HAPPY to have that!! Gawl durn youngins...the seat looks beautiful btw!
  16. I worked up a chart showing time and distance according to airspeed. This way as I climb away from my first strike I’ll know how many seconds to fly to achieve the distance I need for the weapon. I’ve also figured out that turning ~200 degrees (not 180) will get you close to pointing at the target. Throttle back, flaps to maneuver, autopilot on, acquire and lock target, fire...autopilot off, wait for impact (depending on how the situation progresses you may be able to start turning 2-3 seconds before impact. The Shkval will still track the target to its limits). Turn, throttle up, flaps in, climb >30^ and note the second hand (I use a cheap “car clock” I got at a gas station). Rinse and repeat. Special note: Pay attention when your SPO-15 announces incoming tidings of joy during your climb out. It’s too easy to get all wrapped in seconds, distance, altitude, etc. and not notice that little detail.

I kinda like the "chipped paint" effect, it could be part of an overall "weathered" skin.
  18. Have you tried the SU-25T? It's free, you already have it...And the SU-25 is only $10, simpler than the -25T and performance is better.
  19. Instead of kicking from the aircraft, have both engines shut down and/or ignite in uncontrollable flames. That should keep the offending pilot busy for a while. If he fires again, have all hydraulics fail for 10-30 secs for each of the next 1-5 minutes. Or perhaps have all weapons malfunction/jettison. That’ll learn ‘em!
  20. I had to open the mission in the ME and adjust the altitude of that gate by 100-200 meters (can’t remember exactly now). Save it and it works. It would work now if we were flying on the back of Tinkerbell, but as it is...
  21. Is the MSFFB2 plug ‘n play?
  22. All sides try to put the best spin on the outcome, that’s SOP (“Standard Operating Procedure “). Give it a few days, more accurate details will come out. Maybe we should say “less inaccurate”...
  23. Hmm... I wonder how a large number of semi-autonomous drones armed with a Claymore-like charge would fare? Launch perhaps 10-12 per incoming cruise missile, AWACS/C^3 aircraft could determine heading + altitude + potential target area. Have the drones maintain a vertical disc (or globe) formation (think “Tholian Web”) at the expected altitude and facing the cruise missile, with overlapping cones of fragmentation. I don’t know if this level of drone technology is currently in service, but it could be.
  24. I walked right up to the APC with the 20mm that shot me down once. :music_whistling:
