Looking forward too it. It will be a great place to land and take off. Hope future airfields get this treatment and bring DCS alive.

$199.99 per module. That will solve everything. lol

I concur. When I was fired at, they would be lucky if they only got rifle fire in return. Most of the time it was GAME ON!!!

increase refueling range on FARPs for TF-51
CAmastersgt replied to D4n's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Why are FARP's raised up like that in the first place? I've been to a few IRL and they match the terrain with some fuel lines at designated points. It's just trucks and or fuel bladders and the required hoses and such. Those raised helipads irk me, where are my meds. lol -

I agree, and subscription model would have me look elsewhere. -
New Pay Model / subscription discussion

Thanks, did not realize it ad been tried before. May have been bad implementation or it just doesn't work with this audience/market. Thanks for the info. -
As a former paratrooper I can tell you they are used tactically. Modern use in Afghanistan, Panama, Grenada, and even a planned mission in Iraq are testament to use of tactical assaults by airborne troops. The Division size assaults as seen in WWII may be fading but smaller tactical assaults (Battalion size and smaller) are still effective. Airfields seizures, assaulting objectives, and blocking positions are still viable missions. I know I've done it. AATW!

New Pay Model / subscription discussion
CAmastersgt replied to MacEwan's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Here is a suggestion for keeping the current pay model over the subscription model: CROWD FUNDING prefered modules. Player could donate $10+ for their favorite aircraft to be modeled. This could work for both ED and other module contributors. Using polls they could find which are the most likely aircraft everyone has an interest in, then ED and others can set up crowd funding for those aircraft that can be accomplished and made into a module. It can even extend into existing work like Dynamic Campaigns, Maps, and Features. This could significantly speed things up in development. Depending how much you crowd funded then you will get that much off or a comparable discount when the product is offerred to the public. Just an idea but it is workable. Maybe it is my MBA shining through but it fits the marketing management principles of delivering products that the people want. Might be a good idea to try a trial project. -
Love VR and it is amazing for DCS. I don't see a need for a snapview. Have no problem checking my six, just takes practice. Beats playing with Track IR or nothing at all by 1000%.

Game Crash Latest update, Fw-190D-9 Instant action 1 vs. 1 Caucuses map. Repeatable. Ran three times crashed within a few minutes by freezing. Back to school work and crypto mining. Will wait for new update to fix. Seems like a lot are experiencing similar. I have faith in ED.

Game Crash. Just updated to latest open beta. Mid Dogfight in Fw-190D-9 and game froze twice. Not multiplayer just the Caucuses Fw-190D-9 1 vs. 1 instant action.

F111-Aardvark ~ Why you LOVE IT & why we need it
CAmastersgt replied to Bartacomus's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Pre-Order for sure. In fact it should be crowd funded because it is long overdue. -
I agree with most the price is outrageous. Glad they made the plane and are a developer BUT yeah...I'll pass or wait till its in the bargain bin. I can wait, years.

This a good move for DCS. Although Discord and the like are fine and simple, what we need is in game communications that work with the radio. If you want to communicate then set up your radio right. That is the way it works irl.

New Pay Model / subscription discussion
CAmastersgt replied to MacEwan's topic in DCS Core Wish List
It's not taking away from what they have now so it absolutely won't drive loyal fans away. It's pricing for that new feature only. So they can do anything they currently do now. Honestly I don't prefer paying for anything and would prefer a completely free everything game. -
Surprised F-111 or the F-104 isn't up there with all the thunderous support they regularly receive.

New Pay Model / subscription discussion
CAmastersgt replied to MacEwan's topic in DCS Core Wish List
So paying for access to a rich and fully functioning dedicated server with a ED dynamic campaign...there might be some value in paying a few dollars for that each month, with the rest being as is. BASE GAME and modules leave as is, ED Dynamic Campaign servers at say $5 a month access. Could work. -
Build it and we will come.

It's a legitimate request. Only issue is the turtleneck suggestion. That is simply over the top!!! Nobody could possibly fly wearing a turtleneck, well maybe the Brits. There are tactical reasons turtlenecks are bad for combat flying...ITCH!!! Even in this game, just knowing that my poor pilot is wearing such restricting and choking clothing would cause insurmountable itching. Plus they are out of fashion. lol Bring on the skin!

Awesome, looking forward to this.

New Pay Model / subscription discussion
CAmastersgt replied to MacEwan's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I would drop DCS quick if it went to become a subscription based service. I think the model they have set up is part of the appeal of DCS World. Yes I like early access, not at all angry at the pace of development. Things take time and throwing money at problems is most of the time not a good solution. I like the periodic updates and new features coming out. Keeps us all coming back. That is an easy "NO" to subscriptions. -
Early Access, Open Beta, Stable, Release, what does it all mean?
CAmastersgt replied to MonnieRock's topic in DCS 2.9
It means = ALL IN GOOD TIME. lol -
I like early access. If you don't...wait till its complete. Win/Win, just don't buy it and then snivel and pout.
-
thank you ED for considering base game improvements.

+1 :) -
I'd say the easiest to land are the F-18 and the F-14 on carriers. Some of the land based fighters, new and old, take just a bit more effort to get right. Within that group of land based aircraft you still have some that are more tricky than others but all are worth the effort to learn.
