In one of CWL’s videos Gonky said the same about it feeling like it was super heavy. There are known issues with the drag models of certain load outs. I have only flown Cessnas and Pipers in RL and adding full flap causes them to ballon too, requiring control, throttle and trim input. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Flaps Drag correct? Full flap for take off? Book is half flap for take off on the C. The FM is still EA with room for adjustments, but a couple real pilots have weighed in on the flight model and have said it is pretty close to the real experience. Check out C.W. My plan when I asked him to make these is a single 28” monitor displaying the 2 DDIs , MPCD, IEFI, RWR as viewports and the 5 backup instruments by Helios. Unfortunately there are no square mini monitors and the more monitors you add the worse FPS suffers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The mission designer is creating a “reason” or “need” to buy SC, that’s called marketing and it is regularly employed by companies worldwide. As a purchaser I expect to have more than those that don’t purchase and the depth of the environment to be better. Many other study level simulations that we have flown are companies that have been shuttered and development and support ceased. In order for ED to continue to operate and evolve DCS, a steady stream of monetized products must be released. To expect a pay for play module to offer a non purchaser any level of functionality doesn’t make any business sense. Support the company and buy it, if you are interested in carrier ops and encourage your fellow players to do the same. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

It’s up to individuals to decide wether to purchase SC or not. Mission designers will make some campaigns that utilize the features of the SC. If you don’t have SC you won’t be able to play those campaigns. ED gives you a base game to offer an introduction to DCS. Everything else is pay to play. That’s capitalism at its finest. I was under the impression you were making a custom interface. There is a library that has the images used to create the front “dash” panel. I had to do something similar with the F-18 IEFI to remove the row of switches under the display frame to allow me to have a reference to move the frame lower on the monitor to assist in placing viewports. If you are trying to use what Blu has created out of the box then it’s probably better to wait for his answer. His works so there is definitely a much more simple answer than messing around under the hood. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

You can use paint to edit the image file. The same hole you cut out should provide the coordinates you need for the viewports.

In the past Helios could indeed be used with a Phidgets card for LEDs. I have asked if the F-18 LEDs have been included and haven’t found out or gotten to the stage in my build where I am ready to try it. DCSBios using Arduino cards is another method. The library for the F-16 is being worked on as the module moves thru EA. Then there is Ikarus by SDA. Used by several folks with success. The F-16 is still in very Early Access and more and more support will be available as it matures. There are still lots of ways to get where you want to go. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Supercarrier and F-14? “I bought this module for the F14 ... Thank you ED for not having said it before” And....HB has responded they are currently compiling the F-14 into the Super Carrier development branch, so, why keep fanning the flames. Super Carrier is not finished and will be an EA product. Which means not feature complete. ED can only speak for themselves. The Hornet is theirs so it makes sense for it to be the module to prove proof of concept. Why the actual hook up for aircraft that work off the Stennis would change is beyond me as I am not a programmer. Since it’s not finished how can HB commit to an unknown amount of work to support an unknown implementation of an EA product that is subject to change. The best we can ask for from HB is a “we hope to support SC” until they know the scope of work. It would be silly to have a Super Carrier with only one aircraft. Also, it doesn’t make sense to be convinced to wait and miss a 50% discount by the naysayers if you own the F-18. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The left and right consoles are 80% complete. Started with using hobby level rotaries and switches and just wasn’t satisfied with how they felt. I have been adding better quality as my budget allows.
