  1. Well, I don’t think there’s really any other choice than to court martial them.
  2. AI Tomcats are A models, no limitations on them.
  3. Limitation is based on controllability concerns in the event of an engine failure during takeoff. Cited from the F-14AAP-1 11.7.5.1 Takeoff Configuration.
  4. Manual to 35° and maneuvering flaps out. Makes it quite a bit easier.
  5. Each aircraft in its own group, or 4 in a group?
  6. Flying off a carrier seems to be the biggest thing with breaking replays. I’ve had a low departure off a carrier in Hornet show me fly into the sea after 20 seconds. This was months ago before the Tomcat. Flying from land to the carrier isn’t generally an issues, but after that first landing, all bets are off. I don’t think you can put this on the Tomcat.
  7. I’m using a 980Ti in VR with a 6700k. It works great, but I can’t use the mirrors in Vr. The 1070 is roughly comparable to the 980Ti. That said, I’m currently working on an upgrade either to the 1080Ti or the 2080Ti. Edited to add - I’m usually flying in a dynamic multiplayer environment, so that’s an additional load on the GPU. Based on your intended usage, I think you’d be OK.
  8. Long known problem with DCS far before the Tomcat.
  9. The Airboss script in Moose will make LSO calls and has been updated for the Tomcat. Airboss
  10. Hard to do that when you’re waiting to be spoonfed.....
  11. Did you select his name first?
  12. Select CRUISE on the mode selector, and DEST on the steering mode, while the RIO has a waypoint selected The distance (RNG) and a bearing indicator will appear on the HSD. This is covered in the manual in section 3.25.
  13. Yes it is.....in the F-14AAD-1 Try the manual for the B as I mentioned in my comment.
  14. 7.4.18 Postlanding - Pilot (pg363 in the F14-AAP-1) 7.5.9 Postlanding - RIO (pg369 in the F14-AAP-1)

    Symple manual

Sounds like an awesome project for you to tackle for the community!!! When do you think it will be done?
  16. Temperature and altitude (density altitude) are likely different.
  17. I’m still getting inconsistent static aircraft on the carrier in multiplayer. The host always show them, but I don’t see them in multiplayer on my computer. It’s not always the same ones that don’t show up. This is an unedited and repaired instance of DCS, not running on the dedicated server setup.
  18. Same problem. Pretty tedious to fix it when you have 16 aircraft and 20 static on the carrier.......
  19. I turn him off til I’m hooked, then turn him back on to listen for fuel callouts. It’s amusing at first, but the quantity of the comments is a bit much.....would be nice if that was turned down a bit. 25-30% of the calls would be fine.
  20. I took Victory’s suggestion and turned off the HUD. Made it easier to focus on the indexer and really stabilized what I was doing instead of chasing the e bracket around the hud. Quick glance’s at the VSI and altitude gauges in the turn, then just focus on ball, indexer and line up as you round the 45.
  21. Seriously....I can not wait to read that.
  22. Set the wings a bit behind the CADC schedule, in manual, and put out maneuvering flaps. Then trim trim trim. It’s waaay harder than the hornet, and harder than the Harrier, but once you’re on it’s pretty easy. I also find tanking off the KC-135 (left wing) is quite a bit harder than the KC-130 due to the lack of a sight picture (I’m in VR). I shift down in my seat to get a better view.
  23. See attached for sample mission with the above aircraft. Caucasus Multiple Aircraft-Stennis.miz
  24. It works fine. Put each plane in its own group. I have a training mission on our group server right now that has 8 Hornets and 6 Tomcats on the Stennis. Hornets 4 on the Catapult 4 parked cold Tomcats 2 on the catapult 2 cold 2 hot parking.
  25. I’ve got 8 Hornets and 6 Tomcats on the Stennis for our group multiplayer training server. Put each airplane in its own group.
