  2. Create a GROUP object off of the SPAWN object with GROUP:FindByName("groupname") Create a ZONE at the concerned waypoint. and in a scheduler (or trigger in the ME) monitor for the presence of that group in the zone, then perform whatever action you want. That's how I'd do it.
  3. https://github.com/jweisner/DCS-FAC We use this to create the behavior of having a human-flown 342 detect and lase targets. Our engineering wizard modified it to make it more realistic and have the detection only in the front 180.

  5. How can we get the bindings for the coolie hat back? They seem to just not be there anymore, and the coolie hat keystrokes have no effect (e.g. HUD == SOI).
  6. A circular menu system like that would be hella cool. But for now, using voice attack is the best solution I have found for right now.

  8. This is a really bizarre effect that is only reproducible in MP. This doesn't occur in SP. If you put the bone stock 'armed speedboat' or any mod thereof into MP and shoot it, it will frequently fail to completely die. It may partially disappear though. Sometimes you'll be left with only the wake traveling around, shooting at you. Other times, the crew will be gone from the boat, which will still be there shooting at you. But it absolutely cannot be fully killed. Screenshots of bizzarity included. Let me know if I can provide further information in any way.
  9. Yes, the OSA class boats are a mod. But boats may be screwed up altogether. There's STILL a bug where the armed speedboats cannot be killed in multiplayer. I filed it a long time ago.
  10. Not the same thing, thank you for clarifying. I'm observing black artifacts in NVG's in so far the Huey and the 342. ETA - this was due to a very low cloud layer I had configured. There's no issue with NVG's here.
  11. By the black flickering, do you mean here that there are large chunks of black (I see them on water) that come and go? Cause that's what I've got.
  12. Starting a server manually in the GUI (the old fashioned, non-dedicated way) escapes this, and the AI will return to killin' you.
  13. It's all about the FPS - which is the only non-subjective benchmark we have. Using the DCS PD and leaving steam at 100% shows substantially higher FPS. Acknowledged - I do understand how using the forceHalfRateWithReprojection (sp) is a totally different animal. I used to have that turned on, and one of the steam vr updates removed it. I'll also remind here to occasionally delete your fxo and metashaders in saved games on updates to make sure they're contemporary.

  15. Thanks Grimes, They would be nice to have indeed. Those ships are great for helicopter missions where we either have them on fire, or are bringing troops or cargo to and from them.
  16. Roughly: "yu no go nao, yu dai" This could mean anything from Hainan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, or even Vietnam.... or the Phillipines....
  17. It could be the new drivers as well. I'm not speculating, but the numbers I see since the new driver and the latest update are higher in terms of FPS in daytime, in PG.
  18. I fly a lot with the frame counter on. Always tweaking. Samsung O+. So I'm used to seeing a 'certain' frame rate range there. Since I updated my nvidia drivers yesterday, I'll just say I'm seeing larger numbers there than I used to see. I'll just leave that there for ya.
  19. For the O+, just run through the WMR setup again and it fixes it. No need to shut down DCS at all. It's only like three clicks if you pick standing/fixed.
  20. Even if this was done incrementally, it could be a huge help in many respects. For instance,just to be able to be a realtime front seater in the Huey or Hip while you are teaching someone to fly or checking them out on tasks would be a huge help. This, even if that second person can't flip a single switch or move a control surface at all. Being able to flip flop control would be a next step perhaps. Just throwing it out there that there's substantial utility residing in the middle ground.
  21. Bravo! This should be made configurable as well in the DCS system menu, along with text size being able to go below 1 into .9, .8, etc.

  23. You could try leaving it to "All" but manually hiding the ones you don't want to see....
