  1. insecure? why would you say that? I've used the tool for god knows how long. Doesn't everyone have a proper Antivirus software by now? Well - it's anyones choice I guess. Tried and tested by yours truly, and works like a charm.
  2. Which means the Swedish HKP-9 is... what? Ready? On Hold? A dream?
  3. RedFor use EWR/AWACS to locate tanker. Dial in your radio for the EWR/AWACS > contact them and ask for vector to tanker. You can use your radar and/or Datalink to find him once you know vector and altitude. (shouldn't really need to though) I see this is a common problem for Redfor pilots, but it is quite simple really.
  4. That is great news! the damage model of the Mi-8 has been under the looking glass for a while now https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=226657 Glad to see that tweaks are coming. BST was never very outspoken. During the lifetime we rarely get any hints about changes to their modules. Their development cycle is even more so, behind closed doors. (as we can clearly see withthe Mi-24) Most of their releases has been more or less complete surprises :p
  5. Sounds like the solutions is so. You have two different versions. You select Quantity 2 - but you only have one. The CP classes them as two different weapons, so a quantity of two can not be launched
  6. Online tool Simple :gun_rifle: Fast  Free  https://audio.online-convert.com/convert-to-ogg
  7. Someone seemed to imply that only one aircraft in your flight needs to have the pod though. So your friend can launch and you, yourself can provide terminal guidance? Can anyone confirm or deny?
  8. Alos note, that if you equiup the SPJ, you will get range and bearing to target.
  9. KRUBARAX - BMP-2 Y no helicopters this time? Also, is it possible to force turn off the "lock" function in the mission settings?
  10. 1. ACT tracks the target closest to your SPI - it is *supposed* to be used when you have a SPI on your target. So if used correctly, it allows you to choose. 2. PAS is what it says on the tin. Passive mode. Don't use if you have friendlies in the area. That goes without saying. 3. SP mode: Tracks against a radar which is tracking you. Goes against the ones with highest priority/threat level. seems kinda simple to me
  11. Only 25 units of Mi-24VP was made, according to Wikipedia. Maybe not the most well-known variant? Maybe VM or VN would be better?
  12. Don't get me wrong. I still concider CA one of DCS "Essentials" Controling units on the map and all that jazz is so cool and helpful and makes your missions much more dynamic (without tons and tons of scripting and triggers) And you can still opt to start the game with VR off and have fun with some tanks and stuff. But it's very frustrating that it worked before - they broke it and then just went like "to hell with it"
  13. Nah - it used to work fine. Than some update broke it and now they have no plans to fix it. That's the truth. After that they added that line in the description "Not VR supported" A tad bit too late for us who bought it and enjoyed it before this patch broke it. How is it broken you ask? When you take controll of a vehicle - there is a black "mask" on your screen - with a small hole you can see through. the hole is not centered, and your crosshairs doesnt line up. Worse yet, your head movements are inverted. Move your head left, you turn right and vice versa Move your head down, and you move up, and vice versa. Instantanous neausea guaranteed.
  14. I think standard procedure for temperatures below -25 is to run the APU for an extended time. I remember reading this in an Mi-8 manual somtime long ago. Can't remember the time though, but I remember being amazed by it. It might have been up to 30 minutes of APU burn before attempting to start engines.
  15. Wait wut?? You can take manual control of the destroyer in CA? Can you actually drive it also, or just control the SAM? I have to try this ASAP!
  16. I also experienced some problems with this mission. It appears that you have to fly the route, VERY close, or the triggers will miss. I discovered this, as I flew it with the NS430 GPS turned on. If you have it, turn it on, and stick VERY close to the rout- If you miss it by not many meters, the triggers will not activate
  17. Take manual control over another tank and blow that SOB up :dunno:
  18. Agree. Looks weird in VR Like a plastic film on the glass
  19. I look at it this way. December 31st, 2018 (or was it 2017?) , they showed some diagrams, and we've seen some EXTREMLY early cockpit renders. The standing word from Wags or any other devs is Therefore, the conclusion is that they are about 2,1% complete - and we have to sign our will, to force our granchildren to fly it. #stillbutthurt
  20. Proceedure: 1. Always, ALWAYS wait for the cooldown timer on your HUD to reach zero before re-lasing or firing another shot. 2. Switch you laser off untill you really need it for ranging or firing. Dont keep it on when scanning. 3. For even longer service life, hit the RESET button after a missile impact, and count down the reminding timer in your head, before re-lasing (as the laser stays on a couple of seconds after impact) If you use your laser smart, and only when needed, it will have a lot longer serivce life, than you can stay alert and fit for fight in the pit. Good luck
  21. I don't think it's restrictive at all. You are not glued down to your seat, are you? Move around a little. I play DCS in VR, and I rearly sit still. If all else fails - just open the door and stick yer head out :matrix:
