  4. It's not that easy. Some options can affect both CPU and GPU, some also affect RAM/VRAM and their performance hit depends on the hardware from not affecting at all to significant hit. Some hints already include that info.

You know the saying "Fighter pilots make movies..." - that's because most of the aviation movies are about them, rarely you'll find some super future fighter, superhelicopter and then maybe about some bomber crew or a striker. Ever heard of the movie about trainer aircraft? Same thing is about popularizing DCS. Users learn about its existence mostly from Youtube videos, from exciting videos like dogfights, interesting missions, air to air and ground attacks, realistic procedures and tactics, operating many aircraft systems, navigating, AAR... Most come here for the fighter jets, some for heli or a warbird. Very rarely for a trainer, most people probably doesn't even know about their existence. DCS is usually a step up from the the more relaxed game play sims out there. Only a niche within a niche are guys that are genuinely interested in flying trainers, and for different reasons. They make that step to learn more, to challenge themselves, to no longer "one button fire" through the game. Even when some casual gamer walk through the first steps to set up controls and get into flying part he'll soon realise that no effort attitude will get him nowhere here. It's not for ones that need handholding for every step. Btw, you don't seem to take into account whatever others are saying, do not show emotions, no writing errors. Is this some student project where you let loose chatbot answering the forum posts? You just ignore that development cost for such niche module given away for free will not come with enough ROI, will not cause new players flood and will not make them paying customers. Why do you want to kill DCS financially?

  9. The only public bugs list is this subforum threads. Check the manual - it has yellow marks on items not yet implemented. If in doubt just ask.

  13. It's not really a problem. There are multiple reasons why we have no civilians in DCS apart from the airshow crowd static. ED doesn't want DCS to be associated with videos of dying people, that's assuming they react to weapons or can be run over by a vehicle. If not - there would be stupid crowds of invulnerable people walking into fire and explosions breaking all immersion. And the obvious one - performance. There are some statics and AI infantry to choose from - place however many you want on the map - including the cows and enjoy the life. I'd like myself to have some civilians esp. for transport, rescue and COIN missions or just to make a challenge in avoiding casualties around targets.

  15. Playability and flight freedom I guess. It's not a side-scrolling game. 200nm works fine for Caucasus though.
  16. Yeah, thanks for that and I also hope for additional features and improvements Currently CQ, cyclic ops, bolters and touch&goes are not implemented. You can turn off taxi directors (in DCS Special > Supercarrier options) but keep the cat/launch crew so you can freely taxi however you think is best. If you want to keep all the crew you'll have to block all the parking spots from fantail up to the elevator 2 with static Hornets. That way you'll be directed to park (and spin) around elevator 1 after trap so it'll be short way to the cats 1/2.
  17. There are some tech vehicles that allow aircraft to call repairs but I guess you mean repairing ground units? Both are unrealistic unless it's hours-days repairs.   18. A wish is a wish but your expectations are unrealistic. They don't make ultrawide type of maps in DCS. The city with just a flat satellite image texture is not acceptable either especially as well modeled LA or Frisco would be a major selling point.
  19. I took a few minutes to create simple mission in Caucasus, put a CVN-71 sailing 27kts, then 4 Tomcats group including 1st unit for Player and 4 AI Hornets group. Hornets start up in the sixpack in front of you. You have to wait a few minutes on Elevator 2 and after the Hornets start taxiing the brown shirts are starting to be available returning to their spots. Then you can use Salute binding to call one (not the Salute from ground crew radio comms!) and continue with your startup. F14 supercarrier test Caucasus.miz

  22. Sorry, can't help you with this one, I don't have Germany map. Only Caucasus, Nevada, Marianas, Syria and Persian Gulf.
