I find above replies confusing so I'll answer this simply for you: You can use any AI unit on any map you want. -
Not gonna go back and forth on whose bug is uglier. There are more, not only module but also their missions and campaigns. The point was both ED, RAZBAM and HB can do very good modules but I cringe and react that it's somehow HB considered "quality" developer.

You confused bugs list with unrealistic features. And tell me if inability to see LANTIRN or TCS as a pilot is not game breaking.

You're talking about data link. I'm saying about radio comms. Yes, GCI was also done this way IRL.

I support - ground crew may be taken into consideration after they are done with SC crew.

Technically one doesn't need any better times than 10ms for 90Hz but it usually means that spikes can easily go over it in some situations/settings/missions and give you stutters. The better the CPU the further the limit to push it over. Just have to find a balance between what you need and how much money you want to pay for it. Having $500 GPU can jutify having $500 CPU to pair it with.

He may mean just the GCI - as the name suggests "ground controlled intercept" - as radio voiced commands. If implemented it could work for any aircraft with a radio.

Exactly the same can be said for RF neglecting their Navy. They don't have much aircraft, they're old and have no carrier to fly from. Let's see how well MiG-29A sells and then see what's likely to happen next and if it's possible to be made.

Right, where's that quality in my Tomcat? Major gamebreaking bugs left for years, crawling development and maintenance since new cash cows showed up on the horizon, unrealistic implementations... Both ED, RAZABAM and HB create top notch modules - none is caring them well. About WSO - it was planned in later development and yes, it's needed and welcome. Contrary to the Tomcat though you don't actually require one to fly and fight, so players rarely miss him.

The only one Instant Action mission for Syria map called similar is "Cold Start - Israel" that have you starting in the open. Save a track next time.

No need to complicate things. Just add a friendly aircraft and plan its route. Then add player aircraft nearby, then try to join and keep formation. While the AI does unrealistic moves it's still a valid way to practice formation flying. Start with heavier aircraft flying straight and level, then add some maneuvers then go with maneuvering fighters. You can do this in almost any mission involving friendly flights, so no need to create one either.

Set mission around 89, put MiG-29A w/R-27R and R-73 vs F-15C w/AIM-7M and AIM-9L - fully realistic and "competitive". Realism and balance is in the hands of mission creator.
