Nice pics, too bad it'll only be FC level.

Liveries are kept in the core section and will be added by DCS update once the module is released so they don't add up to the module's files size requirements. Q: What exact radar type is going to be simulated? Q: What A2G weapons are planned?

What about RLPK-29E?

remaining shadows when using scenery removal trigger
draconus replied to flanker1's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Should be reported as bug. https://forum.dcs.world/forum/487-object-bugs/ -
ED never confirmed which radar they'll simulate

So you use face tracking? Never tried that but OpenTrack used to work fine for me with wireless clip solution (3 IR leds) and a modded PS3 Eye camera - I actually attached them to the side of headphones. For jittering try to go into filter options and increase the smoothing, just 1-2ms, because too much will cause noticable delays. As said ground targets, even when zoomed in to get more or less RL size, can be hard to find, especially when camouflaged and between other far objects. That's how it is. It's a skill also to search, find and engage before the threat becomes lethal.

Any relation to PC suspension/sleep mode?

DCS with Windows 10 after 10/2025
draconus replied to BJ55's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It's nothing new. Many www sites, shops and even free software ask for registering or logging with existing account like gmail or facebook, often mandatory. Every smartphone, VR, tablet or laptop comes with bloatware (ex. google apps on android, meta on quest, growing windows) that have more rights than it needs (or we want). Removing it only makes it come back with any update. You can root devices, mess with firmwares, registry, firewalls and go all nerdy but you have to ask yourself is it worth your time and does that improve your life in any way. -
Update the DLSS preset used by DCS to remove ghosting
draconus replied to sleighzy's topic in General Bugs
Haven't tested yet but I suspect it might leave it with no AA which makes it clear but aliased and shimmering. -
There are a few things that already work in DCS: targets are found by radar, IR or optically when close enough, not by "magic" SAM radars do emit constantly unless you turn them off in ME, so you have control some over it with triggers, scipts, etc. afaik you can have more radars in the group and that makes them sort of simple local IADS If you found a bug or feel it doesn't work this way make a report, because "magic" is disproven in reports every day.

310.2.1.0 is just the nvngx_dlss.dll file version. It supports all DLSS generations 1-4, depending on the game implementation and your GPU. More clear now? From FAQ: Q15: When will the first batch of core assets release? A15: SoonTM.

It didn't.

Are the AI assets and planes part of the maps?
draconus replied to Fingers68's topic in Payment and Activation
I did. It doesn't imply that it's going to be paid. -

Hm, I only heard about Pacific Theatre WW2 pack. -
The subject is so wide I don't know where to begin, esp. not knowing what you already know and what level you're on. I'd advise you to read a lot, ex.: https://theaviationist.com/2020/06/07/here-are-the-basic-fighter-maneuvers-fundamentals-you-need-to-understand-dogfights-explained-by-a-fighter-pilot/ and watch & listen to see how it should look like, ex.: These are just examples, I don't know if they are even good but there's plenty of articles and videos out there. The F-15C is great energy dogfighter so you should rather stay fast (over 350kts) and high (it flies better up there) but remember no two dogfights are the same - you have to press and react to your enemy's moves, improvise, wait for the moment to shoot, take advantage of opponent's mistakes. You may very well be dragged to low alt, low speed fight having to hold there. Installing Tacview can help you watch the fight after, check your mistakes and draw conclusions from it. Basic version is free: https://www.tacview.net/ Learning is one thing, practice is even more important, so whatever you learn practice a lot. You can start with AI for now but you'll have to start practicing with human opponents online to get to your best. AI is not the best enemy because their flight model is not very realistic (they use simplified SFM) so they usually turn better than they should IRL but they are also limited in what they can do. So you'll get to the point where it'll become a bit predictable after a while. You can counter too good AI by choosing a less powerful aircraft to fight with, lowering their skill or making them heavier with more fuel, while flying light loaded yourself.

@Flappie Is it reported already? Seems to be affecting multiple modules.

Are the AI assets and planes part of the maps?
draconus replied to Fingers68's topic in Payment and Activation
I find above replies confusing so I'll answer this simply for you: You can use any AI unit on any map you want. -
Not gonna go back and forth on whose bug is uglier. There are more, not only module but also their missions and campaigns. The point was both ED, RAZBAM and HB can do very good modules but I cringe and react that it's somehow HB considered "quality" developer.

You confused bugs list with unrealistic features. And tell me if inability to see LANTIRN or TCS as a pilot is not game breaking.
-
You're talking about data link. I'm saying about radio comms. Yes, GCI was also done this way IRL.
-
I support - ground crew may be taken into consideration after they are done with SC crew.

Technically one doesn't need any better times than 10ms for 90Hz but it usually means that spikes can easily go over it in some situations/settings/missions and give you stutters. The better the CPU the further the limit to push it over. Just have to find a balance between what you need and how much money you want to pay for it. Having $500 GPU can jutify having $500 CPU to pair it with.
-
He may mean just the GCI - as the name suggests "ground controlled intercept" - as radio voiced commands. If implemented it could work for any aircraft with a radio.

Unbelievable! That disqualifies the long trusted repair process. I'll go do it myself. Maybe it'll fix some other issues...
