  1. WOW! that is so cool... finally CA makes sense to me
  2. still WIP, now we just need Admiral's Coast Guard fleet... (Dauphin model by damientrix, modified...what a beauty)
  3. Great news! Thank you both.
  4. Hm interesting. I tested the Dauphin from daimentrix, who is french, whith your (nibbylot) EFM demo, for me works fine, for him not. No cockpit, not flyable....french language issue??
  5. ...VR srceenshots only... (thx to nibbylot for EFM and damientrix for base model)
  6. Hey Admiral, what about your great USCG fleet...? Cheers, r.
  7. Thanks very much! I did not share so far because it is still buggy with the collisions on the ice and the ship is still WIP, although a purchased model from Turbosquid. I do not have much time for DCS, but I will try to make it available at some point. I appreciate very much the comments from you and others!
  8. I agree totally. A first minute buy for me. And an incredible journey to watch the development. The BO-105 is a major game changer in helicopter technology, it simply deserves an adequate simulation. From what I have seen over the last years, this will be it. So much looking forward to it. I just hope it will have the removeable hardpoints as the UH-1, to allow "growing into" and to use it for non-shooting missions.
  9. what is the goal you want to achieve? If you want the AH-6 DCS model look like your OH-6 you need to look into the livery maps, and somehow make them look like you want. It is a tedious work and the FSX maps will not fit nibbylots AH-6 maps. but it is doable, needs some time, and a liitle bit of digital "painting" skills. i recommend using Photoshop, but other paint programs will do. I discovered some issues with the interior mapping with the AH-6 model by nibbylot, when doing the Island Hopper livery, see somewhere above. Doing more than thev isuals is quite a bit of work. Probably a new 3D model, all the animations, a new cockpit if it is different from the AH-6. That would be modeling, painting, and lua scripting. New functions would go into the flight model programming itself. If the flight model needs adaptation, it might be not that difficult, but needs a lot of back and forth testing. Hope this helps... What is the difference between the AH-6 and the OH-6?
  10. If this helps: For me it works just fine, however I put the Dauphin on the Arleigh Burke and the Ticonderoga so far - there they start and land as they should. So it might perhaps be an issue with the vessel mods you use, instead of the heli mod?
  11. Hej Damien, again thank you for sharing your great work and for being so responsive and present here! When flying close in team with AI, I discovered the Dauphin is missing windows on the front of the backdoors, see attached. Is that on purpose? Sorry for the bad VR screenshots. Another question - Would you think you are able to provide the Dauphin without the typical french big winch, just as a bare helicopter? Just the shape would do. Just a question, never mind if not possible. Thanx! r.
  12. Yes, but very early WIP. I hope I get far/deep enough to upload it at some point. Will post updates in the Helicopter EFM Demo thread.
  13. Naval Ops with your Dauphin and flyable (but far from ready) MH-60 SUCH FUN!!! (sorry for the bad screenshots - I do not get it how to make good shots out of VR...) Thanks again, Damien!
  14. thank you !! Thats a really fast response! Will download right now, but I have only a slow connection...
  15. The download link on the first page doesnt work anymore. I have an issue with the specular mapping - reflections on the Dauphin are always a DCS "dummy" map. Does anybody see this also?
  16. Hi Damien, what a fantastic mod - huge amount of work! I just wondered if you might be able to provide the Dauphin without the winch but with a connector instead. I know this type of winch is aboard the french Navy Dauphins, but I would be interested in setting up a US Coast Guard Dauphin with the smaller Goodrich winch they use. Apologies if ask too much, but I thought I might try. Cheers, r.
  17. Thank you. I agree - this is one of the things I very much like in DCS - people sharing their expertise at that high level. It is also great to see people get inspired - I am looking forward to see how your Cobra will come along! Yes the blades turn on the Jayhawk model, but I did not look deeper for the blurry part execpt that it seems part of the modelling and animation for half of the scale. It seems a second set of blades with blurry look has to be modelled and animated dependent on the rpm, at least on the huey. Somehow that has also to be defined either in one of the luas or the EFM - which I do not know if it is prepared in the AH-6 demo. As for the MH60 I am struggling with the PBR materials at the moment. I tried tuning physics as nibbylot indicated above, and that works quite well. Takes a lot of time though, and is far from finished yet.
  18. Not yet. It's flyable, but that's about it. I want to grew it further before sharing. But thanks for your interest.
  19. Sorry I am not on discord. I will post updates here or begin a new thread at some stage.
