Ever thought of using your neural network to train new pilots?

I modded my throttle with the just another slew control mod or something similar and it makes the slew so much easier, better etc.

What can’t be done

I’ve seen several training/campaign introduction mission use like a track video to introduce the pilot to the theater, training, campaign, etc. How is this done?

My-lan as I haven’t mapped anything in dcs except the huey and I was using a pft Pune hotas for helos then it had the b4 grip witch matched the huey the collective had a toggle to select 3 modes fore the grip other 3way toggle and two buttons. I never got a setup I really could use but since I’ve been grounded I saw a nice Vedic on setting up the puma that made things nicer my main failure was getting VoiceAttack working for the other commands needed on a mission because the huey requires both hand and both feet to fly the only way to use a keyboard would be propit in to straight and level autopilot kit the key and back on the stick in vr that’s close to impossible during stressful times. So I’m working in on matching controls for the a-10,viper and adapting the wh stick for the huey with a maxflight collective and tm tpr pedals the positioning the wh throttle just to the left of the collective and the cougar throttle once modded just outside the wh one if you notice the viper throttle looks to be almost at the lh wall of cockpit plan on putting the wh throttles full forward to be out of the way I might even mount te modded cougar stick on my rh platform for a side stick since I’m a vr flyer I should be fine.

I’m in a similar situation except the last part I’m familiar with the mods, some multiplayer experience. Imo in the mean time work thought the training missions and any tutorials, in this case they will be from the grim reapers. I think they can be monotonous at times because they don’t appear to be scripted and the one guy goes off oN tangents but that is my take. If you need help with mods I first suggest using ovgme to install them that way it is protected during updates whereas if you put them in the correct location manually then they get deleted every update, clean and repair you do from my understanding.there are written and video tutorials on setting it up and using it. As fare as most servers go and find one that allows newbies and prevent pvp actions. That way some experienced pilot does add you to his kill list. Fly around the causcus and nttr until you take off fly around enter the pattern and land without too much problems

Be aware that the connector is different instead of hdmi it uses display port and comes with a display port to mini display port

It’s December now and no updates since February I do have a problem on how to do but I’ve seen it done in campaign for sale and video introduction how can that be accomplished

You can convert your jpeg files to png iirc that the kneeboard uses using a tool called kneeboard builder find a link in input output or one of its sub forums or one of he mod forums. This allows you to place the files in several places each has its own kneeboard folder overall I think is under the dcs directory th mission has it own kneeboard folder but you may need to create it the maps have their kneeboard folder each as do the aircraft. So in this case I would add them into the ac kneeboard folder. Dcs doesn’t use mp3s it uses oog files iirc I think they may be a way to convert them.

I have and I see things are closed at the moment. If you will are a a suggestion to make it easier to understand had three sub channels ne for phase 1 and list the objectives for phase 1 there. A second for the USAF objectives and the third for h usn objectives that way only see what applie o your path. And also I know for phase one you sad one week for check ride and one month for phase out test iirc. But I do not recall time limit/standard for the other phases sections but it would be nice to kno if you go the usaf track from stat to finish you have x amount of time for the navy it is x time.

Can you please post the phase 2 chart so we know what is expected thru out the training plus please add in the timelines for each vs the exact flight specs lik first flight in7 day upon start of section checkride 3 weeks from start of section. Joe many flight and how often on my schedule or yours. I understand having live instructors limits the flesability tremendously I myself normally are in control of my schedule except for medial appointments some routine office visits others more intricate procedures. I’m wanting to fly multiple flights so it becomes second nature.i understand that I may free fly these missions on my own time.

Last one I looked in to couldn’t handle the weight of the warthog grip on an extension the motor were not strong enough to overcome the weight

With the long extension your movement of the grip is exponentially over that of it without. You just need to use less movement

Ok who all fly the viper with a side stick like the real thing or do you fly it with a center stick like most fighters? I’m not sure how to do a poll here.

How much for a 1080ti that will work on a Mac pro natively.

Is the project still on track

Not necessarily referring to this module but if the module has everything advertised when it was sold I can see charging for upgrades that add additional features like the gps module or one that updates the avionics and or weapons . But if they are still features missing from the module like co-op mode where two clients can each have a seat in the plane and can exchange control like this aircraft then I believe it should be free.

Rudel thanks for these missions my only suggestion would be may 25-50 points for basic airmanship the rest for the mission objectives. Airmanship imo should always be apart of any mission’s objective get there safely, do the mission, and get home safely. I’m gonna use these missions to practice until dcs academy has an slit in the usaf phase 1 track of their academy. Thanks again I hope to learn a lot from these missions.

So how do you the player start in the rear seat stay in the rear seat the whole flight? I wish to lear the rio duties and have an ai fly the tomcat.

I would like to setup a mission with several aircraft/seats for the player What I need is a way to take all the other slots and make them ai and follow the plans I have setup for them as each of the slots are crucial to the training. So is there a method to conver all non used player aircraft to al aircraft?

Well I guess I’ll start the usaf phase 1 soon.then phase2 after that I’ll see if the rio position still appeals to me but if the oh-58 hit first that I’ll be my next step.

Help I’m looking for a pdf version of the english f-14 manual. I owe the mod but uninstalled because I was short on drive space but I’m thinking of taint the dcs rio course hut I want to see what I’m getting myself in for. Please point me to the manual download.
