i know you use to be see the icon for the item on the map. not square block. how is it done or does it only apply to static items?

I’m looking to migrate from my laptop to a pc I’m having custom built. Questions: 1) best way to get dcs and mods on the new machine copy or install fresh? 2) I’m wanting to keep my current dcs setup on othe laptop for several reasons: A) travel B)mission design and testing C) casual training 3) can I have valid setups on both machines at the same time as long as I’m bot running them at the same time? 4) how do activate the mods on the new system? Even if the laptop hasn’t been activated. 5) would you install dcs on a sata ssd or a nvme m.2 ssd? My laptop which I just ordered new ssds for has a gum drive and a sata drive bays. Current factory setup has the gum drive as c and the sata as d drives respectfully. I would like to move the os and run of the mill apps to the sata and reserve the gum drive for dcs and xp11 as I’m doubling the size of but drives. Being a laptop would be possible?

Well from my short research today it appears it will be June 2020 before it hits the theaters by then we should be able simulate most flight in the movie,.

I. In a similar situation myself. Spent 2017 trying to master the huey but never did I think I know why now. I. Working on getting my pit and setup ready to start flying again. This year been ill most of the time. One thing after another. What time zone you in me I’m in mountain time. But I’m not a regular sleeper some time I’m able to sleep 11pm to 9am but most of the time I’m up til 6 In the morning and sleep until 4 or 5. Or master the Gazzelle I’ll be the lt seater since my main pedals are missing a screw I’m trying to get from thrustmaster.

Ok once I’m flyable hoping for next week I’ll hit you up on discord I have all 3 of the AirForces but probably train on either the A-10 or f16 depending on instructor recommendation

I get my switches from allelectronics.com I believe you might find what you want there. Are you going for full size or would you want a smaller switch so you can get more within the same footprint. My first order was when I was going to make a 1:1 cockpit of the twin otter for xp11. Second order was for smaller switches where I could build a button box fr a generic pit. Now if I’ll use that idea if I feel the need since switching to vr. I testing a couple things out.so think about what you plan is if it’s a panel then 1;1 makes sense bu;t if it’s a button box smaller switches would work as well if not better.

I’m wanting to play a video or audio tape in a mission how do you take a trk file and play it in a mission. Also if you load a mission in a mission doe it revert to the new mission ans leaves the old in the cold or is the proper way load mission 1 get to a point load mission 1a once mission 1a is complete reload mission 1 ?

I wondering if they are pilots using an unmodded tm cougar hotas to fly the viper . How is it working? Calibrates easy enough and holds it. Throttle controls are mapped on default and work as expected? I just want to find out if it is worth using my stock cougar hotas for the viper or try to learn it with the warthog hotas and mapping the buttons that we have. I am awaiting an over haul kit to replace the sensors and convert the throttle to usb but I’m not sure when it will arrive.

Did you verify the cockpit setup prior to starting the checklist had it happen in some other module it turn out a switch on my wh throttle was in the wrong position

What is the size difference in the two ac if I’m correct without checking I would put the viper at about half the size of the av-8 Andy he cross sectional view of the viper would be seriously less that the bulky av-8 and those would make detecting the viper so much harder than the harrier.

Deltaalphalima1, I’m in need of some assistance. I installed the mod today the only difficulty was due to my stiff numb fingers dropping everything at least 10 times each. Doing this resulted in misplacing the outer screw on the rt throttle and one of the long screws on the inner side. If you have extras I’ll buy them from you. If not if you can provide a source other than thrustmaster if not the size of the two screws would be helpful.

The reason I think the huey is so hard is your supposed to come to a hover around 5 ft agl 0 airspeed then gently lower the collective so it takes a minute to land iirc that’s when things go wrong
