So in sound mods prior, you had general sounds in the Sounds folder (as expected) and aircraft-specific sounds in their respective Mods folder (gotcha, makes sense if you own that module). So now that all custom sounds need to go in Saved Games, here where it gets a little tricky. You'd expect aircraft-specific sounds to go into Saved Games\DCS.xxx\Mods, but not anymore. Now those sounds needs to go in Saved Games\DCS.xxx\Sounds in the same file structure as-if it were in the aircraft-specific Mods folder. Fella on mods forum going to see if it works

Fella on the mods forum was saying they go into saved games folder now for sounds, just need to figure the proper folder path. Missing this mod deeply i tell ya.

Well this thread is in the wishlist area so that should answer it i guess... I know as far as us Snipers on the ground the school houses and team internal we were always trained and called in f16 and f18 with lat long, hence we always prefered apaches... Part of the business. Im now retired going on two years so i assume stuff has changed, so what i say is from my personal experience and what i taught to our Snipes. I can tell you For us NON JTAC OR TACP we always prefered MGRS. But on ODA's we had a Airforce TACP who dealt with all the Air assets and we just concentrated on our Triggers. I know 2007 and onwards our ODA's really loved having the TACP attached to our teams, was a game changer and much more effective. I didn't look over his shoulder so to speak so maybe somebody else has more insight on it. Just blabbing:thumbup: so # ED give us MGRS for us ground folk and have the AI Jtac in sim give both or we can choose in special options......

Same here try to tell wingman to engage bandit barely works you can see this in the quick action dogfight missions -
Until ED fixes whatever is going on cpu side, play on lower population servers. Issue is as things change with dcs allot of the servers missions need to be rebuilt and updated. No way around that. People who are saying they cant play in vr more than likely are playing on those servers with all the scripts and mumbo jumbo going on. This has happened before, the devs will get it sorted but server hosts need to put effort in fixing and streamlining missions. Lots of small fish servers that run very well even in VR and even in 2.5.6.....:thumbup:

So I'm no mission genius by any stretch but this train intercept mission is something i enjoy flying on the allied side. Its a good quick one that tests flak and especially the train. 3rd one was suggested by the Dev's when 2.5.6 released, i myself had never done that but after i did i noticed an immediate improvement on my system. also i never use that shader mod as in my opinion destroys the fidelity of dcs atmosphere. Most people i fly with dont have significant issues with vr performance. The loud minority when things do not work best are usually the ones who are heard the most. Do agree though performance can always be better, but i think everyone needs to take steps to insure they have a healthy and fresh install of dcs after 2.5.6 dropped. :pilotfly: -
I agree its a bug, but my dynamic campaign side of me wonders if the Luftwaffe:pilotfly: at this point in time instructed the pilots not to jettison the racks as war supplies where dwindling....?

Thanks thats great, im googling looking for info on these cluster bombs just simple are they all anti personal and light skinned vehicle type or is one of these cluster bombs anti armor as well ?:thumbup: So correct me if wrong but reading online the SD 10A and SD 2 SUB MUNITIONS are all anti personnel, the anti armor sub munition is SD 4HL those would of been nice going against the tanks. Have to see how well the 10A and SD 2 work against say a flak position....

I think some need to delete the following folders if not done already in dcs saved games folder delete fxo and metashaders 2 folder this will make dcs rebuild shaders, i do it after every update and keeps it running good. Also with 2.5.6 delete these following folders Mods\terrains\Caucasus\misc\metacache\dcs. this will be for every terrain you have which is in your dcs install folder of whatever drive you have it installed on. After doing all this the first missions you load on each map and aircraft may stutter briefly as things are rebuilt. This should ensure your best chance for best performance -
Vr is running great for me other than an occasional drop to 20 fps for a couple seconds as something loads or something with Ai happens, its on the cpu side so im sure it will fix. As i posted in another thread i get way better performance under Oculus then i do WMR.:thumbup:

Same here my performance is actually pretty good, there is an occasional instance when some object or AI drops the sim to 20 fps for about 5 seconds then returns to normal. I only Notice this sometimes around Vaziani and Surrounding cities. I can Run Rift S great in 2.5.6 but not WMR with OD+ ive totally given up on WMR, every update from steamvr ruins clarity in headsets then it comes back then goes away plus all i do is fart around trying to find settings that work and never do. So life is Fun and Easy with the Rift s for me.:joystick: -
