  1. Just pitch and roll channel. Level out at about 75kph. Full right torque pedal and importantly lower collective as you do. (The right toque pedal will cause the rpm governor to increase power which will cause it to climb. Lowering colective will counteract this and also allow more authority to yaw right) try to keep it level with the horizon, as you come out of the turn increase collective to maintain altitude, and slow your rotation
  2. When using the sight to guide the Shturms, the missle no longer tracks to the center of the sight. It only tracks to the + symbol above the normal crosshairs. See track ATGM sight is not working properly for human operator.trk edit, actually it does work, just it takes a while for the missle to drop down now so close up shots don't really work
  3. Needs a little polish, but it's pretty much there
  4. Well in that case..... First, it's nice to know that if I lose an engine in the Hornet, I've got another to take me home.....unlike the Fighting Falcon where I'll have to ditch in the desert, and be set on fire... Also the Hornet doesn't fly like a pig as the F-16 does with a decent air to ground loadout, that's just a fact. Hornets got a better radar, that got updated during it's lifespan, compared to the poor little APG-68, AMRAAM equivalent radar on the F-16. Without Datalink it's like looking through a straw. I guess if you have AWACS babysitting you 24/7 your fine, just make sure not to wander away from your E-3's apron strings. Sure you can get high up to 40000 feet and Mach 1.6 without too much difficultly, I'll just wait the 5 minutes out of engagement range it takes for you to burn all your useable fuel, in full burner, to keep your tiny little wings aloft at that alt. It's cute seeing you small falcons try to imitate your bigger Eagle brothers, but then again good tactics don't seem to be a priority for most F-16 drivers in DCS. Remember the song is actually meant to go: Cause if it's single seat...multirole...and flown by some dumb asshole...you bet your ass that fucker issss... a stupid Viper. Finally the Hornet had a cool name to begin with. Their pilots didn't have to overcompensate out of shame for the actual name of their aircraft, the Fighting Falcon. Obviously this is all just trash talk, I own both modules and like both. In all seriousness the Hornet is just a more versatile and reliable platform, even when compared to the F-16. It's turn around times and low maintenance hours, means that it is always there for the party. Having performance is great, but you need to be able to show up for it to be useful. One thing the Hornet never had to do, compared to the F-14, and the Harrier, was to justify it's existence as a military expenditure.
  5. Totally doable with the current flight model, just make sure your at a good weight, and keep you power setting reasonable so you still have good tail authority, sadly I'm at work or I'd replicate it
  6. Man, when they work, S8 rockets are cool.
  7. Ehhh 9 is basically putting you at cruise, and 10.5 puts you in to max continuous. Obviously i'm constantly adjusting but it all depends on what I want to do. With 9-10.5 it's pretty hard to overspeed unless you started your attack super high, but you are closing fast at around 250-285
  8. I'd bet solid money you went over 350kph. You guys need to realise that you don't need or should be using full engine power in all stages of your attack run. Keep the rotar pitch between 9-11 and you'll be fine ,but if you are using max or near max collective during your run you'll easily get above 350kph and loose control

  10. Look guys. The Mi-24 was designed in the late 60s, and it's primary role is attack. It was designed to carry and fire atgms as it's primary weapon system, which has been shown in the east german war doctrine posted multiple times here. At the time it came into service it's was mainly going against Patton and eary M60 tanks, and relatively primitive AA. As mentioned it's equivalent contemperary at the time was the AH-1G and AH-1J sea cobra, that were armed with rockets guns, and TOW missles, and had the same sophistication in regards to sensors and avionics but no one ever seems to question if the AH-1J was an attack helicopter, considering it had pretty much the same capability, with the Hind just being able to carry 8 troops or some door gunners from time to time. It was made narrow though to have a smaller profile like the cobra. And was also armored unlike other helicopters (including the cobra) to help in the attack role (like with the Su-25) Troop transport was always a tacked on secondary role, which had uses for time to time. As for use in game we have a ton of cold war assets if people would bother to use them. I've flow the Mi-24 now multiple times on cold war servers and with a decent crew and tactics it does very well vs bradleys, llinebackers ,vulcans m-60s, avengers, and even the odd Abrams.
  11. I swear I'll try to get part 2 up today.
  12. "sigh" another evening, and another non Mi-24 mission.. and before that It was so late by the time I got on that they were all used up in the previous mission.
  13. Set them up and launch them as the pilot. Bind keybinds for the flare despenser "left" "right" and the "set I/II//III" press each key after you take off, and test that the work by pressing the Pilot snars keybind
  14. Are you pre-flaring with the avenger. I've had decent success against them on blue flag 80s, but if i forget to flare during the run in and out i'll eat a stinger for sure
  15. Nice what are you finding works best?
  16. I know i just had the misfortune of only being able to play it twice since all of yesterday i was never on at the time when a mission with it was running. Looks like Alpenwolf has changed most missions to include it now. Hopefully blue will get the Mirage F1 soon. Right now red has such a fun new toy, that is also decently effective
  17. Pretty much most everyone that purchased the D and V model also have a handful of tbe P varient. Aside from the 30mm and redone operator cockpit they are pretty much the same. Iraq, Syria, india, most eastern block counties. Indonisia, Cyprus, Lybia
  18. Yeah i find this happens a lot on some multiplayer servers like blue flag 80s. At least for me. Get within 2km starting at 5km and petrovich won't lock anything up. And no menu for targets
  19. It was a blast!! I plan to upload part 2 sometime today
